Hello everyone!! In my latest video I explained why I wasn’t my self. I did this before that video and I Realised that I couldn’t carry on doing my reactions. But I didn’t want to redo this reaction because I won’t be true to you all. I will explain hopefully next week. I am so sorry
This song is one of my favorites. We usually ask reactors to wait to react to this song till they are familiar with the individual members. Then they are surprised at hearing the switch ups in the voices. Tim who is known for his bass can sing in a beautiful higher tenor voice along with Austin & Rob. And Chance can hit the lower bass notes when needed. Adam did a fabulous job as always with his vocal percussion. The original song is sung by a woman Cam, so they sung it in a higher key to match the original. range.
Now you're ready to to Tim Foust off his solo album pieces of me part 1 he has released 3 videos Off the album something that should check out you'll love it.
This proves these guys can sing ANYTHING. This is just wonderful...and you can now understand Chance can do that bass when needed and let Tim sing in his upper range ! Loved your reaction to Chance...it's surprising. Cam is country singer and she does a great version but Home Free steals this one....such talent !!! Glad you're getting to see how good Chance is !!!!
Besides Tim going up in his range and Chance going down in his, I think the underlying feeling of "different" in this arrangement is that they are singing in a higher key than they normally do. They chose to sing this in its original key as sung by Cam, a female country singer. LOVE the versatility of our amazingly talented fellas!! 🥰. Every member of Home Free could absolutely be a solo ⭐ star ⭐ but their harmonies together are MAGIC!! ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
You know, at the end when Austin is singing the chorus and Rob and Tim are singing a different line, it's Tim that's doing the higher harmony! Plus, I know a lot of people say that everyone switches parts in this video, but it's really only Tim going to the high tenor part and Chance going to the bass that's really different. And, as you listen to more Home Free, you'll find that it's not really that "out of the box" for them. Having said that, I do love this video. If you want to hear Tim go higher, I'd recommend his duet with Austin called "My Maria." Also, any of Tim's solo stuff (just look up Tim Foust). For more Chance, I'd recommend "Cover Me Up" (watch the whole video).
Hopefully Home Free will do Europe dates in the future so you can see them live. I will go this fall to see them in Nashville for Tootsie's Orchid Lounge Birthday Bash. Got a message from Tim Foust on his Patreon page about it. (Squeal). I have to meet them. Also want to meet VoicePlay. Have gotten messages from Geoff (squeal).
This song was originally done by female country artist Cam about 5 or 6 years ago. It actually is a country song, but HF put its spin on it and of course Tim opened in high tenor and Chance sang bass throughout. They are so versatile.
Adam (Chance) was the BASS in his previous group, Street Corner Symphony. And Tim usually sings the BASS for Home Free, but we have heard him sing high notes recently. When you were told to wait awhile to listen to this song, he had NOT sung the higher notes. But, it was still good to see him focused on only the high notes.
It's always fun to see people's heads explode when they see Tim up in the rafters and Chance take the Bass line. Such a fun song and great reaction. You are lovely!
Lead singer on this song is a deep bass Tim But if you know Home Free, I expected that what the hell look. But was confused you didn't show that reaction?
I love this song so much but I think slowly, as more songs are released that show Tim's incredible range, especially his solo projects, reactors are being introduced to his range in other songs now so, unfortunately, this song has lost the surprise factor it once had that we Home Fries enjoyed so much.
@@KigerPony I'd have to agree with that. Mayday used to be THAT SONG that had everyone freaking out. But since they've been switching up arrangements for Tim and Chance to cover the parts, it's not quite as surprising. And if they've heard the releases from his Doo Wop album, Mayday is almost in a "normal" range.
@@chrismorin1318 Thanks for the comment, Chris. It's kind of sad in a way that this impact is waning because some of those jaw dropping reactions from reactors in the past were priceless 😂
Love your reaction videos Samantha! Whenever I'm feeling stressed for whatever reason, all I have to do is put on one of your reactions and your soothing voice makes that stress just disappear. Great reaction, as usual!
Love Mayday. It’s a cover originally done by Cam. (I don’t know her version though). It’s more of a pop song. We like people to hold off on watching it because of the switcheroo. Tim, the bass, singing tenor and Chance, the baritone, singing bass! That’s the fun switch. So glad you recognized that. The boys can really sing all genres of music not just country and that’s why I love them. They’re so versatile. It’s a fun one. Adam was great. Good reaction Samantha!😀
Here is the original song, Mayday, by Kam: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eRrCMEXPjWo.html And this is the best professional reaction to the Home Free version (that I've heard): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TV_vSjyn8P8.html Enjoy!
I love this video. Everyone in this group is so talented and versatile. This song shows that amazingly well, but most people don't give Chance his proper dues. Whenever Tim is singing lead or harmonizing with Rob and Austin, Chance carries the bass and the bass beat. He also did the juice harp sounds in man of constant sorrow. This is why this group is my favorite. Just so much talent, and not bad on the eyes either!!!😍
A singer named Cam is the original performer... She has a video that goes along with the song that makes it more meaningful. It is well worth watching, if not reacting to. It has a powerful female message. The guys decided to sing this close to the register that she sings in both to honor the original and also to show their variety of their talents.
My adult daughter loves HF, but hated this song...because she was cheated out of Tim's thunderous bass. How dare he sing tenor! Chance was the bass in his previous group, but after joining HF, they moved him (most of the time) into a baritone voice. In any other group, he'd be an excellent bass! Cam is the original artist, and you should definitely listen to her recording - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eRrCMEXPjWo.html
I've never heard this song before, but I've heard it a lot since I found Home Free's rendition. The melody is so catchy, I find myself humming it all the time. The guys are great as always.
I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction and appreciation for the talent these five gentlemen have. I'm also glad that you're back. I pray that all is well with you and your family. 🙏🙏🙏
Excuse me! That comment is definitely coming from a guy. But us women think these 5 men are extremely handsome & are easy on the eyes. Throw in their great voices & they are the complete package.
Austin & Rob - guys we need three tenors to do this right Tim - I got this, Chance you have the bass Chance - Sure, no worries Adam - Ba-dum-tiss I think you realized it was Tim singing in the tenor range at the beginning, but it was hard to tell. Keep on keepin' on.
