Armand was more involved than we are seeing. I will not believe otherwise. Claudia was a G til the end it was so good. I love that Madeleine was so loyal to her. So sad!
I read the books and nothing could prepare me for this. I'm just so thankful Claudia had Madeleine. 'Mad chose her and held onto her when her vampiric parents never did that for Claudia.
Both lestat and Louie were horrible parents , Louie physically abused Claudia as well ...choking her . She was created as his doll and comfort , he never anticipated the consequences that would come as Lestat articulated to him, once she got too mature Louie wanted to get rid of her too. Madeline was the only one that loved her pure.
Lestat didn't tell Louis about the rules. Now Madeline they knew but they did tell Armand but Armand gave over power to someone that hated Louis and Armand was probably tired of them breaking laws and wanted Claudia out But didn't want to do it so he gave power to Santiago
I think him saying its a law was something the coven put into the script. He probably never actually said that to louis. He followed it up with saying he broke it and he should be punished too. This was a 3 bird one stone situation armand created. With lestat, he got claudia killed, free from the coven and finally got louis to hate lestat forever. Now he can live his life with louis and no strings attached.
Lestat was being immobilized right before they killed Claudia, he seemed to be swaying back and forth and he looked out of it. Someone on Twitter also pointed out that Lestat’s hands are bruised so there’s def more Armand ain’t telling.
I noticed Lestat swaying too. He looked gorgeous, but he had to be weakened. I know the show is adding their own twist to the source material, so I’m wondering what method they (Armand) used to make Lestat follow the script. He seemed to veer off from time to time, but he mainly stuck to the script.
Next episode in order to make some peace Armand will give Louis the fire gift threw letting him drink his ancient blood . With the fire gift , he's able to combust anything he wants in flames ... Ironically I feel its also Claudia's presence and spiritual rage as she was created from a child who was dying in a fire . It's all connected . It's both of the father and the daughters rage now combined .
I'm still broken by her last moments. Armand, Louis, they all complicit. Also, doesn't matter if Madeline could have refused the gift. She never had a good human life and was no stranger to suffering. Mad respect for her claiming Claudia till their shared end.
One or the other ,if you forgive Louis for Paris ,you can't forgive him for Dubai ....if you hold Louis innocent for Paris you still can't forgive him for Dubai ...I'm starting to believe that Daniel writing the interview for Louis IS to get Lestat back by publishing the story .....is the season cliffhanger going to be someone going off that Dubai roof ? Armand has "suffered" nothing...what if Lestat shows up grabs Armand and jumps off with him ...then we've got to wait a year to see haha
Santiago took Claudia's yelllow dress... Why did he do that? I have a theory. The packed human audience have seen and learned far more about vampires than ever before (with the exception of a certain organisation), they've witnessed the death of two vampires, AND were allowed to leave with their lives. If I was as messed up and bloodthirsty as we know Santiago is, I would hunt down these people and fulfill Claudia's dying vow. Maybe work the dress in somewhere to really freak them out and let 'em know why death has come knocking. 😅 It's hella theatrical and over the top. For all his manipulations and back stabbing, I think Santiago did like Claudia in his own way, so this would be a fitting tribute to her while also getting rid of witnesses and having a bit of a laugh in the process. He could even stretch his acting chops by mimicking Claudia's voice. 😢 Oh, I just scared myself! 😅
I love me a good reaction but ladies we need yalls screens to be bigger. lol We've seen the show already we here for yall. Been loving your super-long format reviews, they make my workday
First of all, Armand, lol, you know what, every time we catch a glimpse of him, he's over there looking down like, "Sir, I know you're not reading the script and taking notes," lol. Second, Claudia with the "Can I cry too and say sorry?" Ugh, felt. Third, Lestat and Armand, why aren't y'all throwing hands and popping fangs? Y'all can take the whole coven! Like, what is going on, lol? Like… where is the big D energy? You know what, I can't with them
The problem is that Louis's reflection on past events is unreliable. In the end, Lestat should of told them about the laws and history of the vampire. In season 1 he says "the one's who must be kept". He is talking about Akasha and Ankle, the Egyptian kind and queen of the damned. Lestat knows all the history of the vampire he learned it in the 100 years in-between Nikki dieing and getting to New Orleans. It's why Lestat is soo powerful he has drank the blood of The queen the first and most powerful. But he is sworn to secrecy because if they die all vampires die. Also there keeper Armons maker a 2000 year old vampire Marius would probably kill Lestat if he tells anyone.
