Gosh I thought from comment that Hansen has passed. Not seen in while. Yh need see Alan nearly forgot him. Thought was rip Hanson so glad it's not that
LMAO I had never heard of Calpol, so my heart sank for just a moment! A quick google set me straight. It goes by "Children's Motrin" in the US. Great joke.
0:46 we also had Aston Villa, Man City, Liverpool then Brighton as our opening fixtures at the start of the season (4 teams in Europe) it’s been some season for the Toon🖤🤍
@@NoFrictionZone an am.not saying that like a negative or i dislike him this kid had 1 of the best debuts eva in a untd shirt then he follpwed it by scoring 2 v the gooners but there have been many times now where his head drops an hes not playing great he was meant to excel from last season yet after a bumper new contract hes not doing anything he can say what he likes its not hate at all the proof is on the pitch i still hope he turns it around, maybe its the right time to cash in hes worth 70mil ezy
On Pogba, when the story broke I wasn’t surprised in the slightest. He’s the kind of player who courts drama I think. On the wider issue of PED use in sport; I think the majority of professional athletes do something, they just don’t all get caught.
Nice to hear positive comments on my team Blackburn Rovers from the three of you (not just The legend Alan Shearer). Once again another fantastic episode, love the show.
Love the show fellas, all the way from Adelaide South Australia. Never miss an episode Alan I’ve fixed our system at the toon - 5 at the back with Livramento and trips tucking in to the midfield when we push forward Isaac up front longy, Bruno, Gordon and miggy/willock/joe playing advanced roles with the ability to track back…….leaving 3 staying back and overloading the midfield when we lose possession. Should be easy 😂……..Micah, stay on the gas and having fun, love your work. And Gary try to keep them both under control legend. It’s truly a wonderful pod keep it going
Extra time should be kept for major finals, ucl, world cup, continental intl tournaments, not the league cup. Tbh if it was up to me the league cup would be significantly changed with no teams competing in europe involved, no need for wembley to always be the host of the final and straight to pens even in the final
@@WizzyImzyou seem to think it’s pretty worthless, but in the last 11 seasons there’s only been 4 winners…Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd & Man City! So the big clubs certainly don’t think it worthless
@@GIBBO4182 every trophy is a trophy to win. But the conference league shows you don't need the very big teams in a competition to make it enjoyable. Will make football more enjoyable when the smaller teams still have a chance at a domestic trophy. Plus it will reduce player fatigue as it ensures clubs are playing in maximum 3 competitions
I'm a Leicester fan 🦊 ⚽️ 💙 and if we don't win the FA Cup then I'll be behind Newcastle, the teams they've faced and defeated I think they deserve it, great podcast guys keep it up.
He needed a father's arm around him, Pirlo and Zlatan did this well.however without them. Your hear of reports of him and Sancho coming in late for training. Me I think with the crazy money they need to add character to these players. Just for the good of the game
Fantastic show…very impressed on how eloquent and entertaining these ex-footballers are. I’m American, and I have to say very few of our ex athlete pundits sound this articulate…most of them say nothing of consequence and have 8 word vocabularies. And many of them went to college!
rooney wasn't honest, he said Blues fans took against from day one, no mention that the fans sang his name and he didn't respond. fantastic player, no clue as a manager
Speaking about journalists and how they use clickbait and simple manners to gain traction, that's where society is heading now. Everything needs to be so easy. That's why we should praise proper journalists more. I do love everything I hear and read from Andy Mitten so you should give a shoutout to him and probably some other ones that aren't doing their work just for clicks and views. That's also why I like your pod! It's not just huge headlines and repetitive content. Sometimes it makes me reflect more on the right stuff regarding football. Even if Micah thinks he's better than Gary Neville..
Klopps greatest decision during his time at Liverpool was to get involved with the academy at one site and get the U18 and U21 teams playing the same way as the Firsts. It's certainly paying off now when we've got 4 cups to win and a horrendous injury list and the constraints of FFP
Pogba is the type of player who has never deserved to play football. Talented yeah but his attitude has always been poor. Let's hope we never have to hear that clowns name again.
Fatawu is from Sporting not Porto and you have a buy clause of 15M euros(I think) so not to worry Gary. I'm just annoyed my manager didn't bet on him at Sporting but for personal reasons not because of Fatawu's football abilities
❤That's why Klopp's interviews are gold. He questions back What do YOU think? Do you know why they said that? Can you tell me in what context? Did they REALLY say what you just just said? What do YOU want to ask?
Regarding Pogba's ban, for reference ex-MotoGP rider Andrea Iannone got the same four-year sentence back in 2019 for breaking doping rules. He returned to competitive competition in World Superbike a couple of weeks ago.
But teams get half gate receipts. So playing away in a big stadium for a small club can literally save them and keep them going. Had it this year when Maidstone played away at Ipswich The extra money they got because they played away bought them a brand new pitch they could never have afforded before the draw.
So right Gary about strikers needing to go round keepers when they are so committed coming out legs and arms spread everywhere to make themselves big !!
..👀🥊🥊💯...I've listened to many a Podcast..You 3 together are sensational 🥊 really..Shearer and Micah have Me in stitches .. Lineker is the one who brings calm and a modicum of order ..🔥😉..Great stuff . Micah's laugh 😅
Shame about Pogba I think he could of became one of the best midfielders of all time, maybe his attitude let him down but he should never of went back to Man Utd imo he should of done one more season at Juve then Real Madrid might of came in for him and he would’ve won a lot more trophies and possibly reached his potential
He had one good season with Juve since then hadn't done anything to justify his talent. What baffles me he says he doesn't know every sportsman should know what they are taking
On the subject of co-coms at least we could hear Alan talking in his game not like the night before when the crowd noise on the TV was so loud that you couldn't hear Danny and co. It did get a bit better in the second half.
In France and in Germany cup ties are always one off and have no extra time. England should do the same particularly because their calendar is more full
Thanks for being objective in your analysis. I have been listening to Rio's channel and I do like it but most of the time it gets so ManU and Arsenal fanboys talk... Micah is a legend.
38:35 not even a united fan but this is a poor take from micah, pogba was incredible on his day, and was overly scrutinised when he was never not top 10 midfielders in the prem when he was there
Really enjoy the content you guys do and you do have some very valid opinions about United my club. But you can't compare us to Liverpool like Micah has done, Liverpool has a structure through the club we don't. We have to give ETH time and really act like hes a new signing under the new ownership. Micah also mentioned that we can't see the style of play. Of course you can't see because the players can't do what ETH wants. We still have player from Van Gaal era let that sink in. Until a proper clear out and bring the players that can the way ETH wants, only they we can judge him with his style.
If we want the cups to be taken seriously then give the winners a Champions League spot. The big 6 would freak out at the idea but that would help those competitions regain some of their past stature
I mean, just moving it back to the last game of the English season, on a day of its own, like it used to be. That would show it some respect. I remember one year it really was shoehorned into the fixture list.
Wayne Rooney does seem unaffected by his career whilst other pundits are completely self absorbed, like pictures of themselves every chance they get😉🤔👎
Lads, love the show. You are a collective containing a gent, a legend and Big Meeks. Gary, very fashionable but the shadow off the mic made it look like you had a big, dirty patch of shite on your shirt for the entire episode.
Crazy how this comes out just after Gary Neville and Roy Keane accused Italian teams of not being clean. That was the first thing I thought when the news broke
Pogba might be distressed at the ban - but he's got away with a lot of shit he hasn't been pulled up for - his greed and corruption (alleged) - so he should just accept it and move on
Shearer was better in the Forest v United match. He got the penalty shout wrong. The Beeb glossed over the blatant red at the end. VAR eh! Micah picking up on the lazy/poor journalists telling tales almost on the pundits to the managers was a nice subject to discuss. To be fair, Carragher couldn't wait to slate Martinez last year and as some might say, first impressions last. A for PEDs - Pep won his appeal on a technicality for Nandralone. Stam, De Boer & Davids were pinged. Conte was at Juve (when their club doctor was found with a smorgasbord of drugs, including EPO), and he was treated for anaemia with EPO
Bruno Ferdandes is embarrassing for a captain of a huge club. The amount of blatant dives he does in a game should be highlighted more , imagine if Roy Keane done that. It would have been huge uproar.
Know the facts, they were made to buy the Govt at the time, asked the FA if they could accommodate by moving a couple of fixtures, but the FA being the FA are and were secular. Utd had no option because ultimately the Gov have the last say.
With the money they all get paid, I honestly don't see why it's too much trouble to test every single player, before every single game. Someone's gonna tell me something like "you can't expect them to do that what with training and all those games they have to play, not to mention personal appearances and interviews etc." Well, I'm sorry, but if you can afford to buy a house a week, then you can afford to spend the time to get your ass tested before every match. That's just my opinion though of course lol.
I like this show, but I do find it funny how they elevate themselves. Shearer saying that you only have a few seconds to make a decision...that implies they're right with their opinions haha It's simply opinions they offer and it's tantamount to the average guy down the pub half the time. The fact you get Carragher mouthing off, the Nevilles mouthing off about managers such as Pep and Klopp with the Nevilles own managerial record. I love that they believe the absolute sh*t they talk haha
Man utd team fall apart with one or two coming out the team? I remember a show you did where you made the same remark about rodri. A single player coming out for city. And they're a well drilled team. Man utd have had injuries all year. To key players.
