I love how all the girls have motivational/uplifting quotes for their trailers and then Dosie comes in with "MY EXISTENCE IS A REVOLUTION". What an absolute queen
Goeun and Swan did a cover of Wheein's Goodbye if you want to hear more of their great vocals. Its from back when they were known as 365 Practice but its still on their channel
Fun facts: - All the members is All-rounder - Ireh and Chaein is former YG trainee - Yuki is Japanese, and a former JYP trainee - Swan is the first member to join - Swan did the guide version of Chungha's Snapping and Mamamoo's Wind Flower Jieun 1997 Goeun 1999 Dosie 2000 Ireh 2002 Yuki 2002 Chaein 2002 Swan 2003
@@gellisonmarie9309 It doesn't say that anywhere on there? Even if it did, Kprofiles info isn't "official". Dosie joined in 2016 and Swan joined in 2017
@@gellisonmarie9309 Go check it again. Maybe it used to say that but it doesn't anymore. And did you ignore the second part of my comment?? Even if it did say that she was the first, its not true.
Swan did the guide vocals for Chungha’s ‘Snapping’ and Mamamoo’s ‘Wind Flower’. Both of those live studio recordings are on Purple kiss’ RU-vid channel. You should check them out - her voice is amazing (also snapping originally with English lyrics)
Swan is my potential future bias as well. She caught my attention as soon as she opened her mouth lmao so I relate to you big time. I'm really excited for this debut. RBW never fails at making amazing groups.
I loved Swan instantly too! I couldn't stop replaying her teaser til now ! Her and Chaein are my favourite trailers/songs! You are definitely right about her pop/r&b voice - she also trained at YG and was on Kpop Star too with the twins from Itzy/Iz*one when they were younger
Yeah sujin aka swan is their maknae. She '03 liner. Her voice really strong compare to her age. She actually make the guide vocal for chungha's song 'snapping' and maybe some other that rbw didnt release. Maybe it just rbw thing where maknae so powerful like Mamamoo with hwasa, oneus with xion (must protect, everyone soft for him), onewe with cya (youngest producer in rbw) and now purple kiss with swan aka sujin. I cant say about vromance bcs i don't really know them.
Thank you for the reaction! We don't have a date yet unfortunately. Since ONEUS are having a comeback on the 19th I'm not sure when they'll give one. I think its likely they'll go with 2 main vocalists (Goeun & Swan) and 2 main dancers (Ireh & Dosie), but we don't have official positions or even an official leader yet. Hopefully we will get more info soon!
Na Goeun was my one pick back in Produce 48, I'm so happy she's finally debuting! Her and Yuri's voices worked so well together, a part of me still wished she made it into Izone lol.
I'm not sure when their debut date is, but I hope they maybe are late August or early September as early to mid-August is so crowded with girl group comebacks and many really strong ones that it will be hard to not get lost in the shuffle. That said the first couple of weeks of August are going to be a bit like either a PD48 reunion or similar to a game of Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, but it will be Six Degrees of PD48. It would be nice to see Goeun reconnect with some of her former PD48 acquaintances. The tough part with this group having seven members and what sounds like more than a couple really talented singers might be line distribution will be tricky. Mamamoo is about that perfect size at four members where if you have a really good main rapper and three vocalists who are arguably all main vocalists, you can still divvy up a song pretty evenly and not have to listen to people whining that their bias isn't getting enough lines and its all member X's fault and the company is prejudiced against their bias or that member X is obviously lobbying behind the scenes to steal lines from other members, etc. One of the most tiring things about some fandoms is forgetting that music is a business and fairness is not a big factor in who gets what lines. It's based on who the producer and the label thinks sounds best delivering those lines and will make the song sell more (Now they might guess wrong, but mostly it's a business decision, not a personal sleight of one's bias). When you get to seven members some members are going to be short on lines unless you are planning to use a lot of singing in harmony where several members sing together. I suppose the good thing is Mamamoo has shown well, that if you have talented enough vocalists, you can sing harmonies well in a commercially successful pop song. I just hope that RBW will find a sound and style for them that will be unique from Mamamoo as while on the one hand having Mamamoo as their senior will boost people paying attention to these girls, it can also be a two-edged sword where they will also be compared to Mamamoo a lot and Mamamoo are one of those legendary groups that you can't fairly compare rookies with. I am glad that RBW didn't rush this group. Some companies might have rushed debuting a group after Goeun came back from PD48 pretty highly ranked, but RBW probably looked at that as it was nice Goeun did well, but there are things she still needed to work on or she would have ranked higher, and a group is no stronger than its weakest link, so until all the group is ready to debut, it's bad business to push a group out the door where maybe you have a pretty or funny member that that you have to hide in the choreography or who is rarely heard singing. While some companies sent trainees to survival shows hoping they make it into the group, I think most view it as a combination of motivational tool where their trainees can see whether they are really as talented and ready to debut as they think they are, and partly an evaluation tool, where the company can get a look at their trainee in a high pressure environment having to use what they have learned and their natural talent to try to succeed. If they are clearly overwhelmed by the process they aren't ready to debut yet and that is useful for the trainee and the company to know. Plus, some trainees start to tune out their company trainers after a few years hearing perhaps similar criticism of a sloppy dance or vocal technique, but hearing it from someone new who is a respected industry insider sometimes jolts a trainee into realizing that their trainer has been right.
You probably already know this being a huge PK and Mamamoo fan too, but the fact that Swan sung the vocal guide for wind flower when she was 14? Oh my god. She is actually going to be one of the biggest Gen 4 vocalists no doubt
Dam I was going to request this because I knew she'd love them and I am so excited for their debut, but I was like, "No, I should wait.. Kaia wouldn't react to just trailers" Moral of the story, never underestimate Kaia and her supreme taste.
Swan is an '03 liner!! And she sang the guide versions for Mamamoos Windflower and Chunghas Snapping, if you are interested you can find them both on their official youtube channel! Also her cover of Dance Monkey that she posted a few weeks ago is literally insane, her voice is so incredible!
Some Fun Info about Purple Kiss: Purple Kiss is a 7 member group consisting of (Jieun, Na Goeun, Dosie. Ireh, Yuki, Chaein, and Swan). They were formally the channel name "365 Practice" a channel that RBW had made for their girl trainees to see pre-debut life, release dance & cover singing practices. The lineup changed multiple times before the official lineup of members now. The group released a Pre-Debut Single called "My Heart Skip a Beat" with a 2nd pre-debut single on the way. Fun Facts: (Individual) -Swan the Maknae of the group did the guide for Chunga Snapping & Mamamoo's Wind Flower -Swan did the voice-over narration for ONEWE's "The Little Prince Chapter XXI’" ‘STUDIO WE: LIVE Concert -Yuki the only Japanese Member on the team was featured and played "Juliet" on Road to Kingdom with Oneus performance of Infinite's Be Mine -Na Goeun already has debuted with her solo MV - [MV] lunCHbox - Unforgettable (Feat. Na Go Eun) -Swan, Yuki, Dosie, already has features with other artists even before their official debut (Group) -Nominated for 'Best New Artist' in the 2020 Asian Pop Music Awards alongside big groups *They didn't win the category as they haven't debuted but they were nominated even before debut* -Purple Kiss has 2 Pre-Debut Digital Singles (My Heart Skip a Beat) & (Another single coming out yet to be released) -Purple Kiss featured as Dancers in ONEWE's End of Spring MV & Also joined them as Dancers on a Music Show Stage -Featured in a CF for Student training program for a mutual partnership between RBW and an organization -Featured as Students in Hwasa's Sims CF -Was in a Level Up CF with some of Oneus Members -Was on Boss in the Mirror with Solar *These girls also choreograph their own choreos even for the released Debut Single "My Heart Skip a Beat"
At this point, I'm checking their socials daily for a date/timeline. Also, I'm with you on making these full songs. For now I'm just playing the YT trailer playlist a lot.
I am glad you've liked Goeun on Produce. I don't know how far you are but I know there are a few people that don't like her. Seems crazy to me if you actually paid attention and didn't buy into Mnet's drama. She was ambitious about being main vocal but she never stepped on anyone to get what she wanted and was an absolute angel towards everyone. Her and Yuri are really close and I hope we might get interactions between them or any other Izone members when pk debut
I know I'm a little late again but it's fine! This looks amazing I have no idea who these girls are but they look and sound amazing they are so Gorgeous Wow! I can't wait for more videos from you and I can't wait for you to react to more Twice, Red Velvet, Blackpink, Mamamoo, and many more Groups as well!
18:23 Honestly!! I am hoping that it is a little like loona where the album has each of these songs as solo songs to prove they are talented. And then a group title track! Even if they make these songs group songs, I want them! Seems like a waste to just let them be teasers since the songs are so good
Ireh (Seo Young) is one of the main dancers, not main vocals. Swan is main vocals. Of course Ireh can sing as well but she isn't the main vocal. Ireh and Chaein are the main dancers.
I want them to debut asap but it'd be so stupid to do it right on top of itzy, bts, Blacklick, etc comebacks happening in August *edit: no debut date yet but im nervous for whenever it is
