I knew I can trust you and in your reaction! I think the verses leading us on, and the chorus is kinda hard hitting but hypnotizing (the chants) at the same time, thats how it captures us in this trap. Plus the visuals are otherworldly. I couldn't look anything else other than Seulgi in my first watch. That woman is incredible. My favourite part is at the last chorus, when Seulgi singa aome adlibs and draws back her gun. That's so freakin sexy. I'm obsessed with that scene. I know that this song is about an inner fight with a demon/monster, and there are many theories and deep reviews about it, but for me it's more like a mental battle: "The girls did an amazing job, they are so hard working and talented" vs "Please dominate me Irene, and I would even thank you Seulgi, if you shot me..." But the monsters live forever, and my thoughts learned to coexist, so now these are the only things I think about, lol

The verses and chorus are Rv’s style, very r&b and in the chorus they always sing all together. What’s really different about this song from what Red Velvet has done is the edm parts mixed with such choreo, since red velvet is a more vocal centric group

Hi, I subscribed in your channel because of IZ*ONE, (your oneiric diary album arrived, you got Yujin sleeve!) and here you are, reacting to one of my ult group again (my bias is Wendy, but I love Red Velvet in particular). I'll tell you now Kaia, the meaning of the music video is very, very, very, interesting. When you look at it it looks like it's all about gay stuffs but it's not only that...... when you look and watch intently, you can understand the whole video... You see in the beginning of the video, Seulgi was crawling her way to Irene, with her eyes having eyeliners all over her eyes, she looks like she is the monster, that she is capable of doing anything and even dominating her own monster inside (which is Irene), you can see mirror dances on their choreo and basically is telling the whole theme of the MV--bout how we deal with our monster inside..the lyrics also include 'why are there two shadows', I think that is because when her inner minster is out and wants to dominate her.... there are so many scenes where they are carressing each others face, have you noticed that at the beginning Seulgi was the one carrssing the monster face, meaning that she want to dominate her monster and overcome it, but as you noticed the tables were all turned and Irene was the ine who was doing it to Seulgi, the monster is dominating the person, this shows real life situations where we are all being eaten up by our monster's thoughts. You can see in the the edit where Irene transformed into a monster,,, Seulgi was not facing her, and didn't saw Irene's transformation, meaning she was denying it, she doesn't want to acceot tge fact that she has a minster inside. In tge end part, they did the same dance (the spider dance) just like tgey did in the beginnin, with Seulgi being the one who control everything, you can see in the end that they switched places, the Monster being the one who is dominant. It just tells everyone that in daily situations--we commit sins and other bad stuff because of our monsters.... This was my whole analysis in the MV that's why I love it, it was truly an art, a masterpiece. It's just so sad that the onmther members werent here to show how good and how versatile this group is. I wish you could stan Red Velvet too (as a whole group, not just tge unit) because they have twi sides , and you know it already, they are so versatile right?? Hehhe. I want to recimmend that you watch Red Velvet's Level Up Project starting from season 1 after you watch Produce48! They are one of variety and reality legends because they are so funny af.
