The reason why we take our shoes off when going inside is we don't want all the crap inside. Just imagine stepping on a dog pile and then just strolling around in your home... Its the main reason why i will never understand why anybody would want to wear shoes inside well that and the fact that shoes just feel uncomfortable to wear constantly.

Older houses from around 60s have often common sauna on ground floor and families can reserve weekly hour for themselves for extra fee. 👌

Almost every apartment in Finland has a sauna. It's worth watching a video about Finnish sauna culture 👍🏻

@@santtumoilanen3065 it is quite common to have a sauna in the apartment too, since the 70's.

The type of apartment in the video is like a row house with a housing cooperative. In Finland there are many types of housing: detached house / single-family house, row house / terraced house / townhouse, semi-detached house / duplex, apartment (in an apartment building), cottage / cabin, twin house, wooden house, farmhouse, villa, post-war house (a specific style of house built after WWII), holiday home / vacation home, studio apartment and so on, you know...

Using the sauna >4x a week compared to 2-3x is associated with: • 63% reduced heart disease mortality • 50% lower fatal cardiovascular disease • 46% lower risk of hypertension • 66% lower risk of dementia • 65% lower risk of Alzheimer's disease • 40% reduced all-cause mortality There have also been many recent studies showing that frequent sauna use protects against low socioeconomic status, high blood pressure, and high inflammation levels

You forget to mention theres two doors just fev centimeters away each other too in place of main door of house. Now thats a bull to say we hawe no dryers! Young people in first home and poorer people dont have dryer, is he partly forener? In Finland we dont concider house without sauna, can be home. House withuit sauna is just some random building to be short while.... real short while.

As a Finn, I haven't come across anything worse than this kind of clothes drying rack, but it's true that you don't put them in the dryer. Televisions in general, at least the smartest ones, bolt them to the wall and they have different bases, from completely fixed to 45 degrees rotatable, and that's hardly just a Finn thing, although it's practical because it saves space. That shelf is some desing product. Yes, those windshields freeze, but we have plugs in the parking lots that you can schedule, where you can plug the car in and it heats up the engine and the interior for the morning when you're leaving, you don't need separate canopies, although that's a good addition.

@Songfugel
@Songfugel Месяц назад
True, but apartments without drying cabinets are still very rare. Drying machines on the other hand are not rare at all, and especially today the machines with both washing and drying features are quite popular. In fact, their washing machine does look a bit like one of those hybrid machines xD

That must be quite old house since from 1950s it’s become a standard feature on new or renovated homes. 🤔👌
