Hey Doug, I thanked you for helping me through a stem cell transplant...was nice listening to you talk football while I was laid up in the hospital and weak. Gonna need you again though, brother. I am getting surgery on my spine Thursday, taking out T4-6 and replacing them with metal and then fusing T1-9 so I need you to bring it over the next couple weeks. Phins up.

The straw that broke the back for not only the Tennessee game but the rest of the season was loosing Connor Williams. Why the offense couldn’t mount anything late in the game, and we were out offensive got stagnant the rest of the season. Liam was playing hurt and couldn’t get the job done. Our biggest issue the last 2 years is not being able to overcome injuries in the moment they happen. No one has really stepped up when we needed them to. It takes us to the next game to figure it out.

We not favorites IMO until we go out beat Buffalo and learn how to finish seasons.

I agree with how you said the end of the 2022 season went except for one thing. Tua came into the Packers game, played awesome, got a concussion, threw 3 interceptions and lost us the game. Btw. That was more than half of the 5 interceptions he had the rest of the year.

One big problem with even considering this being a possibility after losing the division with a 3 game lead is that if they don't at least win the division this season then fans will ultimately blame the Oline again 🤦‍♂️ There's always a lot of hype for greatness and then there's a million excuses when shit hits the fan every season. It's a repetative toxic cycle.

Doug, It’s time for Dolphins to face expectations. They need to be play like bullies. I want to put that expectation on them. On paper, they did good this offseason - the defense will have to show they can bounce back, but the offense should be better. I expect it.

We have been the #1 team in the NFL for the last two years all we had to do was resign van Ginkel Hunt and Christian Wilkins plus we should have drafted of round one Patrick Paul second round but also another top veteran guard and we would have been ready for our third Superbowl run but now we are in rebuild but I hope we sneak into the playoffs and go on a Superbowl run and win the Superbowl but we may still have a chance if after the cuts we get an old experienced veteran guard probably two old experienced guards and hope Campbell can replace Wilkins.

If Miami had the same DC, I would give Miami the nod, Miami didn’t, we lost a moderate amount of gale talent this off-season and time will only tell if their replacements will be as solid as their predecessors. Once I see how our new DC utilizes Miamis talent I’ll feel better about it.

I think Miami has the highest ceiling, and the lowest floor in the division, and possibly the AFC (out of the contenders, obviously not counting NE and other bottom feeders). If Miami is healthy with a home road through the playoffs, they could do a lot of damage. But if they're on the road or beat up again, they're not really likely to play spoiler like some of these other teams are. For instance, if you take away the top skill guy, pass rusher, and DB from Miami, it would set them back a lot more than Buffalo. The Bills are basically hoping that Allen can turn a bunch of depth pieces and practice squad guys into a scary offense. And to his credit, I think he will have some success, even if they step back from last year. But my point is Miami is like a high performance sports car; if it's in working order on an ideal road, there's no catching it. But if they're fighting with replacement parts and potholes, they're not scaring anyone.

Doug I have to disagree with you on a couple of things. First is that the Dolphins against the Ravens, Bills, Cheifs the Dolphins INTERIOR OLINE, RBs, and WRs Tyreek and Waddle were hurt really bad and our INTERIOR OLINE was playing with 3rd string players and the 2nd string Center Eichenburg was barely hanging on by a thread they had to go get another Center NOT to mention the Defense the 3 linebackers were ALL out for the season the Dolphins had to go out and get 3 from their couches not to mention Holland and CB X all out for the season we werent banged up. Banged up is bumps and bruises the Dolphins starters were out for the season on the oline especially on the INTERIOR OLINE and the RBs were on the sidelines Achane with a quad injury and Mostert out and Jeff Jr was playing but our # 1 rushing game in the entire NFL went down to I think # 6 and that wasnt because of our running game it was because of our INTERIOR OLINE!!!! The Dolphins Oline win rate was 31st before the INTERIOR OLINE INJURIES!!! You cant win against teams that have THEIR STARTERS!!! Prime example KC Cheifs got to the Super Bowl because they were all healthy then they lost their RT and LT in the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP game and they LOST the Super Bowl because they didnt have the RT and LT. Here Tua DIDNT HAVE HIS RBs, INTERIOR OLINE, and starting DEFENSIVE Linebackers on back except Ramsey!!! Your NOT going to win that way sorry you just arent. Those teams werent better than us it was those INJURIES that killed us and it wouldve HURT ANY NFL TEAM!!! Even Josh Allen said something on a Pod Cast about Phillips and Chubb being out for the season and the other Defensive players being out for the season as well. Mahomes asking Tua how could they play through this and Tua said its with the heart and tapped Mahomes chest pad. The players throughout the NFL knew this about the Dolphins injuries and thats what hurt the Dolphins!!! To prove it the Dolphins got 2 WRs in the Draft and their high quality and they got a veteran in OBJ and then they got another RB in the Draft and got another TE All telling me that their going to rest players more so they can be healthier for the end of the season. Im sorry Doug but these INJURIES were way to much on the Dolphins this past season. They had more players out for the season than bumps and bruises and they were key players which matters!!! This wasnt on 1 player it was on INJURIES way to many key injuries. Great show as always Doug. When the Dolphins played the Cheifs in Germany Tyreek fumbled the football and the Cheifs ran it in for a touchdown and Tyreek dropped a pass that hit him in the hands that the Dolphins could of scored had he caught that pass and the Dolphins couldve won the AFC East winning that game as well !!!! Hold on Doug tua is the one turning down 50 million dollars because he wants guaranteed money. He's the one turning down all this money because he's such an elite quarterback. We're supposed to have an elite quarterback that puts the team on his back when times get tough like this just like Patrick Mahomes that's why she is home to such a f****** standard. I think we are building plan b. I think the new TE and the running game is plan b. Maybe Odell even fits into that in the slot. We are going to take the motion game up another notch. I think Mcdaniel is preparing for the solution to a cold weather game and that is to Dog up on the Running backs and TE position and the slant receiver. I mean Odell achane and John Smith/Jody Fortson from KC. I mean we are building a three level monster. The o-line is the only roadblock. I totally forgot about Fortson they loved him in Kc couldn't afford to keep him. But in reality I think Smith is the most underrateda pick up of the off season, he is a much better Mike Giseki. But we are building a power running cold weather offense with over the top break away ability. I think miami could be crazy good if both lines hold up and we stay healthy. I mean how many teams are going to match up against all three of our levels healthy. Not many. This story is moot, this is last year and I think we have fixed that weakness in the off season. I think we also listened to Fangio and fixed a bunch of the issues he talked about at the end of training camp as well. We should be a Super bowl contender, we are on paper, but as my wife always says, "Then we start playing the games, and the ambulances start carting off players." Want to keep it low key but I'm excited and Tua should just ball out and get paid way more after the playoffs or god forbid super bowl. Tanhill could make money with this talent and scheme. I think Justin fieds would have a field day with this offense.

I do not believe Aaron Rodgers will be that same QB who won the MVP. Age and recovery from a torn achilles will make a huge difference. This season will come down to mental toughness and injuries. If we can stay relatively healthy and execute in crucial moments, we win the division and make a playoff run

Dolphins are great on paper everywhere except the 2nd most important position group in football. The offensive line. Which at this moment, imo is WORSE than last year. Tua is going to have to compensate for the Oline so hard. His average time to throw is gonna be like 1.8 seconds.

Game is won in the trenches and a bad O-Line got worse for Miami. Tua and the run game will suffer with possibly the worst interior O-Line in the NFL. 11-6 and a disappointing January as we can all expect injuries to hurt this team as it always does.

At Ravens sites, people are dogging Lamar calling him unreliable when it counts. You've got Cincy fans saying Joe Burrow must be made of glass. There are just people who somehow believe the quarterback is the biggest part of the team, as if the team is just the other half.

Can't be favorites if Buffalo have been the division winners 4 years in a row. It's Miami's for the taking, but definitely not the favorites. Same goes for the Jets, If Rodgers can be at least 80% of what he was, then it's definitely possible they can win 10 games and actually be second in the division. Dolphins are doomed lost Hunt Van Ginkel and Wilkins plus we don't have two guards we should get old vets at ol that are being replaced by younger guys we can get them relatively cheap on one year contracts and they can actually play professional football because they are experienced not forever struggling backups trying to pretend they know how to play football at the pro level, we may have the worst ol in history utterly pathetic and we definitely need two guards i would try to make Patrick Paul work at right guard and let Eickenberg rotate in untill Paul gets up to snuff

Miami is garbage. They are excellent at pounding on the bad teams, but can’t beat the good teams.

Don't really get this love affair with Allen. He hasn't done anything in this league and he just lost his number one receiver along with a bunch of other cap casualties. They lost to the Patriots , the Jets, the Broncos, and they lost to all those good teams they say the Dolphins can't beat, the eagles the chiefs, the Bengals. the bills won't make the playoffs this season
