I think my favorite part of the song is when Kirstin casually says, “I like ur beard” that made me laugh, Love ur reactions btw, watching u makes my days better
This video has made me cry too!! I'm glad you liked it!! It's one of my favorite Pentatonix masterpieces and in my eyes, nothing has ever beat the Wizard of Ahhs 😍💖✨
This just brings so many feelings of different times in our lives. My emotions are due to the way these incredibly and insanely talented people put this project together. You can definitely see their passion for this classic story, in the amazing way they bring it to life. It is a great feel good video. Love your pure reactions.
This is one of the best reactions to this video that I have seen. You knew so many of the songs, and like you , I got emotional at the end, when they showed the video of the original movie, and the songs they picked to sing at the end. Thanks for the great reaction.
Omg, I love your enthusiasm. This is absolutely one of my favorites because it has both Pentatonix and Todrick, plus it's so creative! Seeing you react to it for the first time lets us relive that feeling again, and it spreads a bit more of the joy we all need. Hugs to everyone! 🤗
@@heidifruchtl354 I think that's a matter of opinion though. I see lots of reactors, and I get a little bored with the same type of stuff being said or similar generic praise. Sometimes it's just nice seeing someone get into it, as long as they're not singing through the entire thing or so focused on singing that they're not paying attention to the video. I look for reactors that are either really into it or can break down the video with an analysis, or both. But I do see your point if the singing gets to be too much. I liked this one though. It gave me joy. 😊
@@chelliespider I can see your point, and I probably just dumped on her because I had just watched a new reactor, for me, and it was his first time reacting to pentatonix, and he's talking over the video and singing, badly. Makes me wonder why they film a reaction to someone else. Because they aren't reacting to the group, they're trying to out stage the group. She, at least, can sing. I can't sing well. I'm extremely aware of how badly I do sing. My own child, who is mostly deaf, asks me not to sing because of how bad I am. She, can sing, quite well. Go figure.
I knew you were going to cry... I made it all the way till Avi's last part before I finally teared up..This is SO good!! Loved your reaction and your so sweet. And I bet Kirstin would love your eyelashes
Don't feel bad for crying lol every single time I watch this I get choked up, esp everything from when they're on stage at the end🥺 really tugs at the heartstrings!
I like your comment at the beginning .. I don't want to cry. Me: just wait till the end when they sing about home. Get your tissues as it gets me to tears every time.
Please don't take this wrong, you're beautiful! I love this song thank you for your reaction! I cried the first time listening to it! I love the part of the guys as munchkins! I was surprised how many people didn't make the connection of the songs being specifically geared to the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion! The Scarecrow wanted a brain so they added the song I've been "thinking" 'bout ya! Tin Man wanted a heart, "my heart is damaged"! Etc.! Anyhoo bless you love your channel! Shawn 🎼🎃💙🦋🐾🐈
I'll be honest, this is the first time I've seen any of your video's but out of all the ones that I have seen, your reaction to this is by far the best.
i'll be honest, i know there are so many other fantastic acapela groups, but i only ever have the patience to watch Pentatonix videos and reactiosn to their songs. so i havent seen any of your videos in such a long time, and honestly i've missed your reactions so much. its good to see you again. im shocked that you had never reacted to this before.
Hands down the absolute best reaction I have ever seen. I didn't expect for your reaction to be such a roller coaster of emotions. Particularly at the end when they were all lined up on the stage and showing The Wizard of Oz behind them. When Kirstie comes out and Avi Mitch and Scott are dressed up they are dressed up exactly like the lollipop boys in the movie. Todrick has a fascination with the Wizard of Oz. The dog Kirstie was holding at the beginning who was playing Toto is actually Todrick's dog Toto. Check out Low by Todrick Hall featuring RuPaul. Tod6ck did everything for that video. There is a behind-the-scenes video for is this and for Low. Todrick has an hour long video called Straight Outta Oz. It's refreshing to see a reactor who knows who Todrick Hall is. Probably one of the most underrated entertainers around. Did you notice when Kirstie comes out as the wicked witch behind her the two Palace guards. They are Mitch and Kevin. I did not catch this until after seeing this video many many times. Then when her turns her back in walks between the cards you can see heaven trying not to smile. Best reaction hands down.
I don't know about you, but I can tell you why that last scene makes *me* cry - that "Home" medley doesn't sound like the Scarecrow, the Tinman, and the Lion saying "Goodbye" to Dorothy. It sounds (and looks) like Scott, Mitch, and Avi singing to their dear friend Kirstie. And what they're singing sounds like "We love you. We're proud of you. We'll always be here for you." The rest of _The Wizard of Ahhhs_ is just plain fun, and funny - a mash-up of songs that hadn't even been written in 1939 when _The Wizard of Oz_ was filmed, and yet they tell the story brilliantly. But when we get to the last scene, suddenly it isn't even a tiny bit funny. It's serious, and it's about love, and family, and it's beautiful and oh, *so* sincere.
well have you seen the 1h+ film on YT that Todrick made- with original song, set in The Oz universe? It is so cool. I love this video, and have been binging reactions to it- Yours is my favorite one :)
I know someone else has asked for this, but I'll ask as well for VoicePlay's Superstition that dropped today because I think you'd like it... and it's spooky, and I know you like spooky stuff. ;)
If you haven't yet seen it or recorded a video for it already, you gotta see Geoff Castellucci's new song, The Headless Horseman, originally sung by Thul Ravenscroft in Disney's The Legend of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, also Superstition by Voiceplay.
I loved your reaction to a lot of the songs, Daughtry's 'Home' is a tragically underrated song in my opinion. I know I keep bugging you about it, but I'm really hoping to see what you think of 'Believer' by Alex Boye soon (and the Sad dog/cat Diary, those are really really funny, especially the cat one). Here's hoping you have a great week ( :
Thank you for your pure, authentic emotional reactions and your postivity 😂😅 (love it)! So ... wanna experience something new for your Something New? Wanna get emotionaly drained?? Wanna shed all the tears you have??? Wanna see one of the most intense artistic performances???? Well then please go to see: Je suis malade by Lara Fabian, with english and french subs. I don‘t know if you are old enough to relate to this song but I think it will hit your soul for sure. Please excuse my english, I‘m not a native speaker as you can see 🤬 Greetings & hugs from 🇩🇪🖖😀
Just to put this out here, no one believes me when I tell them what I watch on You Tube. Edit: I think it is so sweet that you and Mitch have the same singing range.
First of all, I want to comment on how amazingly gorgeous you are. Such an awesome alternative style with such feminine beauty in your appearance and personality. Second, don’t feel bad for crying. The very first time I saw this years ago it made me misty eyed when they showed the slideshow of clips from the original 1939 movie while harmonizing to perfection. I’ve got a voice like Avi and I love how that deep bass tone adds to the musical chord they’re all making. Top stuff for sure. :)
I just found you with this reaction and I adored your video. Have you ever reacted to the Hillywood Show? They aren't singers, but they are parody artists of the highest caliber. They take tv shows and movies that they love and make professional grade music videos of them. Their earlier work they used a song and fit it to them (& their friends) acting out the parody. Later they moved onto mixing songs until they ended up re-writing existing songs, having them performed, and making unique videos. They've got three Harry Potter videos, a Hocus Pocus Parody, Vampire Diaries, 2 Supernatural Parodies (that include actors from the show), Stranger Things, Walking Dead, Doctor Who, Twilight (1 per movie), Pirates of the Caribbean, Justice League, and I know that I'm forgetting a lot of them. Do a RU-vid Search for The Hillywood Show and you'll find them. It's two sisters that write, direct, create, act, dance, choreograph, etc. It's fantastic!
Todrick also made a visual album that was a mix of the Wizard of Oz and his life experiences (or something like that). I believe it's called "Straight Outta Oz". I think you can watch it as a movie on his channel. Has some great songs in it and a lot of cool cameos (Three of Pentatonix, Nicole Scherzinger, Jordin Sparks, Amber Riley, RuPaul and many more). It'd be cool to see someone react to it, but it's a fairly long thing to react to in one go... I suppose you could always do 1 to 3 songs at a time if you wanted... Whether you react or not, I definitely recommend watching it... Also, his other visual Album, "Forbidden" is worth a look too. Has some more amazing songs and the kinda movie tells a story of a guy that dared to have an illegal heterosexual romance in a topsy-turvy version of 1950's-ish style America where the majority are black and homosexual... Assuming you haven't already seen them.
I heard in vid, you say you were very familiar with pentatonix, going through your vids seems your more into their rivals lol, you've not even touched the songs that made ptx : hallelujah, imagine, bohemian rhapsody,, Mary did you know, song, shallow, happy now, break my heart, Havana, sound of silence, your a mean one Mr Grinch, I could go on but you get the idea
I say that because I knew of them before I started on this channel. They're one of the only acapella bands I'm reacting to currently that I knew beforehand.
I just stumbled upon this video and I started watching a few of your other videos. I love all the acapella groups you react to, like I have a whole playlist just for them. Just subbed and look forward to seeing you react to more vides. I know it's still spooky season and I didn't see if you reacted to it already in the past, but would love to see you react to Pentatonix Mr. Grinch.
