A LITTLE ABOUT ME: I'm Dean Wolfe, a mostly self-taught Canadian guitarist/composer/multi-instrumentalist/singer/producer/performer. I started out as a full time musician, on the road at age 17 for two years, then went part-time ever since, while holding day careers including chef and spiritual health care while raising a family.
As a producer I've made hundreds of my own songs for media and award winning documentaries etc. I've been in several bands including a prog/jazz fusion act nFuze, performing in International Jazz festivals and jazz clubs. I mostly abandoned the prog genre in the 90s but have returned to it now with vigour 30 years later. So much prog! My own prog band was rejected by record labels as "too progressive' in the late 80s, so i detoured into grunge, pop and alternative instead (then folk / acoustic fingerstyle guitar and ambient electronic as well). At the end of 2022 I fell into a shoegaze rabbit hole (so you will see lots featured here.)

Yeah! The band is pretty much post rock/math rock-y. This is an Anime opening so it's different from their usual studio stuff (the song is credited "tk from lts" not ling tosite sigure)

His "TK From" solo project is pretty much in a quite The Mars Volta-esque prog direction, although many songs from both his band and his "solo" such as Secret G, Beautiful Circus, Shandy (both versions), Crazy Tampern and Sainou are all showing clear TMV influences. It's one of his favorite band and a formative influence to his music when he founded his band in 2002.

This is technically not Ling Tosite Sigure, but "TK from Ling Tosite Sigure" which is a solo project of the guitarist TK of the band Ling Tosite Sigure. His solo stuff he experiments with different genres and instruments but in Ling Tosite Sigure is a 3 piece that is mainly described as post-hardcore/math rock/prog rock band.

Written and composed by TK Strings arrangements by TK, Honoka Sato Produced by TK Performers: -TK (vox, guitar) -Honoka Sato (violin, viola) -Hinata "Hinatch" Hidekazu (bass; member of Nothing's Carved In Stone and Straightener, ex-Zazen Boys) -Mamiko Hirai (piano) -Kei Sakamoto (flute; track3) -BOBO (drum; frequent collaborator and tour member for MIYAVI) Content (single disc): Track1-Unravel (4.01) Track2-Fu re the Fu re ru (3.39) Track3-Acoustic Installation (6.05) Recorded by TK at Studio 4 and tuppence house I's studio Assistant engineer: Fumiaki Unehara Mixed by TK Mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sounds Final master sequenced by Mitsuyasu Abe at Sony Music Studios Tokyo The B-sides are also worth check out if you haven't already. A bit of the reason why his stuff might not be as crisp is because he actually does everything as far as I understand, he does singing (alongside 345 with Ling Tosite Sigure which is his band, and in his solo stuff it's just him), he made his own record label (Nakano Records) , he does his own writing, mixing, etc.

Is your son a fan of Tokyo Ghoul? The lyrics of this song are deeply related to the content of the anime and have a very dark and deep meaning.

There is another great song by Tk called "Katharsis" that I would love for you to check as it is also a theme for Tokyo Ghoul and is as good if not better than Unravel. Great reaction though, keep it up.

Hi dog, if you wish to check out if the song works without the lyrics Asterisum do an instrumental version here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CZ8aJPv616c.html You liked the bass work but this is not the bassist I know from Ling tosite sigure, I only know 345 (that's her name, probably has another but that's what she goes by) and she like Fujiwara Misaki from Sokoninaru is also a vocalist. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lqYCMxhgeSU.html 'Telecastic fake show' gives I think a more representative feel of the band. This one's done under his solo outfit and features rotating members. Hinata "Hinatch" Hidekazu of Nothing's Carved In Stones and ex-Zazen Boys is playing the bass in this one. Also, the original bassist of LTS is Miyoko Nakamura and "345" is just her name pronounced in alternative Japanese spelling "Mi Yon Go".
