Looking at the surrounding orchards, I’d guess you are in California’s Central Valley. Are you able to pass the smog test with it like that? Do you use special fuel (and if so, is it readily available)? How did you achieve such massive power gains? Can the stock transmission et al handle that power increase, or did you somehow upgrade that as well? Sure would like to know what the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are. Congratulations on your car!

Better put serious thought into that. These motors stock block are running near its tolerance limit, no telling how long the motor will last being modded thls much.
At 500hp the 2.3ltr is maxed out pretty much. I'd hate to know the strain the engine is under and longevity, but yeah nice. Personally I wouldn't buy a car done as it's probably been screwed. Still at 15000 upgrade I could think of better ways to spend it. If it blew past me I wouldn't think dam that quick, I'd just see another RS with a decent exhaust.
As a proud 2017 focus owner hoping by the time I can save up I can trade in the sel model I have and get an rs these are my favorite cars I just hope the used market for them is good I want to find one cause I know they don't sell them anymore
sneeky7 how is it a joke? I drive the car everyday, and I have driven it through ice/snow/mud/etc. No issues, handles very well. Probably one of the most sophisticated awd systems I have driven. If you don’t know how it works, you should read up on it.
@sneeky7 RS owners will ignore this truth and believe in their own fantasy. Fact is fact and truth is truth. The RS's awd system is not that sophisticated. Mitsubishi, Subaru, and Nissan GTR all have ford beat in that department. GTR has it beaten in drivetrain AND powertrain.
If it's tuned right it won't. You've just seen too many things online get blown out of proportion or badly tuned. But as you are the expert, let's see your videos on your 500+whp car. Looking forward to seeing them. *update* Has none.
We should race... My STI made 500whp/450wtq on E55 (low blend of E60 and 93) and on soft winter tires @ 24 PSI. Should be around 530-550whp @24 psi in the summer once I'm on full E85 and propper tires.
mountain dude hopefully not crash. I try to look ahead before doing a pull. Also keeping in mind that the driver coming out of the drive way should know the cars on the street have the right of way
its no stage 3 ST..but it'll pull.... XD jk that thing sounds beast! I'm guessing a fully built 2.3L, pretty good sized turbo.. What RPM does it hit full boost in? Fully bolted, JST E30 tune on my 2016 ST but the stock turbo's just have no high end power. Trains down low or low rolls, but at most 300fwhp and 400ftlbs... wouldnt even stand a chance with that thing! You start hitting 500 to the wheels in anything..and its a whole new game. Sounds intense and I'd love to see some runs against other fast cars..maybe David's friends GTR he rode in ^_^
First time I've seen someone launch a tuned RS hard like that! Does it seem to protect the drive shaft to the rear and RDU on its own by letting the front tires slip? Seeing that driveshaft and the RDU internals I would think it could snap something with that much power if it tried to send too much to the back during a launch or while aggressively powersliding.
Not sure if it does it intentionally. I do know the tires slip. I bet if I was on a fully prepped track on drag radials. It would be a whole different story lol.
@@SlowestRS impressive. I am keeping the stock motor and turbo for now....building it up from there. Not sure if I will swap out any of the motor or turbo
I mean stock GTR with launch control would probably smoke you just cause all you have to do is push a button and keep your foot on the gas and get a consistent 2.5 sec 0-60 .. Not hating on the build but there is a reason all new super cars don't use a stick.
