Strong by default has a pipe rifle i think which is useless in melee. The damage Dogmeat can dish out on a single target is rather powerful, especially at low levels and sure Strong can wreck face with melee if need be but he just doesn't have the speed advantage that Dogmeat has when it comes to attacking.

Actually, Maxon's chapter of the brotherhood even views sentient ghouls as less than human and deserving of death. Danse will even have unique dialogue with Hancock about it.

Well, in his defense (and PLEASE don't get me wrong, I *hate* X6; if he wasn't an iota as useful in battle as he is, I'd never take him anywhere); he is what his Institute masters programmed him to be-- to quote Kellogg, "Killing machines, pure and simple." X6 was programmed to do one thing; carry out objectives, as directly and efficiently as possible; anything that is not crucial, or necessary to the completion of the mission, or anything that serves as a hindrance, must be removed, to better serve the mission. Coursers are basically the FO4 version of Terminators; made with extremely advanced technology, yes, but at the core, just a blunt instrument; they do one thing, and do it very, VERY well (that 'thing' just happens to be killing people). (That said though, even Terminators don't seem to express the range of emotions that X6 sometimes can-- disgust, mainly.)

You can only recruit him like 70% into the main story and only if you side with the bad guys who you meet at the halfway part. You basically need to stall with radiant quests to get his affinity up ffs. Dude was a last-minute "oh shit" addition after the devs realized they needed an evil companion in the base game.
