I've been hunting in BC For 3 years now. My first year of hunting I could basically recite the entire hunting synopsis by heart. There is no excuse not understanding what you can and cannot do in the woods.

They are full time poachers! I didn't read the regulations is one lame excuse. I live in Alberta and host a BC resident every year and BC residents can't even apply for any moose draw in Alberta. For a BC resident to hunt moose in Alberta they need a certified Alberta hunting guide. I know, because my buddy wanted to put in for draws in AB and he can't! Forgetting to take the magazine out of the gun after shooting a chicken is not going to land you in trouble...lol....

Thanks for the input! I think the only other way a BC resident can hunt in alberta is with a immediate family member as somewhat of a guide. I can't remember the full details but I'm also not hunting in Alberta lol

I was really into the Alpine Carnivore team and the content they were creating. To hear about these convictions was a little devastating to be honest. I felt dirty just from being a supporter of the show. I cant help but wonder how many other hunts were carried out illegally. Sounds like when he grew up hunting in Ontario his family was possibly pretty relaxed on following the laws. From my experience growing up with a family of hunters, it was drilled into my head that we make every possible effort to play with in the rules. I realize there is a lot of information to cover and it can be overwhelming at times. Sometimes you might actually not even know you are doing something wrong. However these offense's show a blatant disregard of the regulations, its not acceptable. How dare they make their claim to fame based off of hunts where they weren't following the regulations. I don't wish for their lives to be turned upside down, but they should not be allowed to guide or make a profit off of hunting.
