I read this book 2 years ago and I didn’t like it at the time but it has stuck with me since, and now that I’ve grown a bit more I understand how it can connect to real life in a way I didn’t see it before
I loved this book so much. I borrowed it from the library, and a day after finishing, I ordered it online to own. It definitely “stays with you” and I too felt comfortable and scared at the same time, like you said. It’s interesting that reviews show people either love or hate it. It’s the level of soul-altering classic to me.
Saw it on goodreads the other day. I do like stories where you discover the world with the characters, the one that comes to mind the most is American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Maybe I’ll check it out
