Hello Dr. Morgan, I'm a new subscriber and knew I was going to be because YES, PUPPY MILLS MUST DISAPPEAR!! I also appreciate and support your stand in fresh/raw foods and how they must be replaced with dry kibble. A sincere whole hearted and big THANK YOU for your help, knowledge, and activism. You play a huge positive part in making our beloved fur babies thrive.
I volunteered at a city animal shelter. Frequently, the staff had to go out and get the dead dogs, deer, elk, cows, or whatever animal died and put it in the "dead freezer." The "dead freezer" smelled absolutely horrible. Animals that had to be put down, or didn't survive surgery, into the "dead freezer," which looked like a damned scene from Night of the Living Dead. I hated it. Once per week a garbage truck came and took all the animals out of the "dead freezer" and I'd go as far away from that scene and smell as I could. Now, I'm thinking, that's where these dead, rotting, maggot infested animals ended up, in dog food as "meat meal."
Your videos are really helpful and informative. However, it's disappointing that you don't answer any of the questions I found in the comments. Pet owners usually love their pets - they are beloved family members and helplessly watching them falling ill, being in pain or even worse is heart-breaking... I know that answering every question is impossible but aren't you able to answer some really urgent ones every now and then? Cheers.
thank you so much for taking the time and educate people. I am so happy I found your extremely informative video. My so far 12 week old Labrador/Doberman mix "Daisy" and I highly appreciate what you do and are looking forward to more videos. Just ordered my commercial grinder and can't wait to make my own dog food......cooked and raw. Thanks again!!!
I would love a Cavalier King Charles but am retired and can not afford breeder pricing. I would love to rescue. I live in the upstate New York area. Any advise. This my first video in the series. Greatly informative. Will definitely be watching the entire series.
If you've got a golden retriever, the high quality food would be a no go because of the peas. There may be a link between legumes and taurine deficient cardiomyopathy, a breed specific issue for Golden Retrievers. Dr. Joshua Stern, from UC Davis, is conducting the study. Whole blood may be sent to him.
What??? I follow the kidney stone prevention diet and they use the Harvard list for oxalate content in foods. Sardines, 1 can, has 0mg of oxalate. So I was shocked to hear you say sardines are really high in oxalate.......
I feed my dog (parson russell terrier ,5 years old) with dry dog food :"Applaws" and "Burns". 3 months ago he had blood in the urine (due to struvite crystals).
