It's really funny to see a non sims player read these, because most of these are just regular occurrences in sims.

I think they they meant that the drowned Sim will put on clothes, so that it isn't constantly naked as a ghost

Sims spin in order to change clothes, so the “spin into heir clothes” thing just means the ghosts will put clothes on while talking to the grim reaper

"Sims... will no longer have their needs frozen." Most likely refers to eating, sleeping, bathing, and using the toilet. Basically, students that skip would become somewhat immortal, incapable of dying from hunger or sleep deprivation.

You aren't a real pianist if you can't play a destroyed piano

You've got to add the funniest one yet, Seymour! --> A meteor can hit a building, in which case everyone will run out before the collision. Those who do not exit the building will die. Sims automatically leave if a meteor is approaching. Unless it is a School, in which Children are not allowed to leave, and will always die.

What about _Egypt, China, or France_

They weren't selling out on a DLC, you need The Sims 3 Island Paradise installed to _have houseboats._

The sims spin whenever changing clothes, it's intentional as it uses motion blur to obscure any specific changing motions

The Murphy bed was supposed to have a slight chance of crushing your sim when they pulled it down, the glitch was that instead of your Sims getting crushed like 20% it was happening like 50% of the time.. Hence making it less lethal.. I've been a huge Sims fan since Sims 1 games.. The patch notes in these videos cover Sims 3, so I've encountered and remember a lot of these glitches. Sims 4s patch notes are funny too but not like this.

Hey, I noticed you had a bit of trouble with understanding some of the patch notes, so allow me to give you a bit of context for some of them. 2:36 - *Sims that drown while Skinny Dipping will now spin into their clothes while interacting with the Grim Reaper.* At least by a certain expansion pack before this patch, when Sims would skinny dip, they would leave their clothes in a pile by the pool/lake/hot tub and wouldn't be able to change at all until they got their clothes back or got some new ones (this was implemented so other Sims could steal the clothes). So, if they didn't spin into their clothes then they'd be stuck in the nude as a ghost, and when they start haunting the house, they'd scare off guests, grandkids, any Sim who doesn't wanna see the dead Sim like that (at least, I think... this is the one I'm least sure about.) 4:35 - *Fixed an issue where fish placed in a Sim's inventory will no longer disappear when they travel back from a vacation world.* The Sims 3: World Adventures was the game's vacation pack, and it added the locations of Egypt, France and China as vacation spots. By classification of the game, these spots were essentially sub-worlds within each world. EAxis (EA/Maxis, the creators of the Sims series) had success when trying sub-worlds in the Sims 2, so they thought they could try it for the Sims 3 as well, but I think what may have happened was the unaccounted-for memory usage difference between the games, and while the vacation worlds worked pretty well, the problems surfaced when Sims returned to their neighborhood - items disappearing, crashes, even duplicate and disappearing household Sims - which quickly became a common sign that your neighborhood was corrupted. 5:43 - *Fixed an issue where Sims could not collect space rocks.* Sadly no, Sims cannot travel to the moon (yet... I'm hoping for it). Space rocks had something to do with alien invasion, I believe (it's been long enough where I can't remember, but they're found on Earth. 6:34 - *Sims that skip class activities or lecture halls will no longer have their needs frozen.* You were right in assuming that's Sims terminology - Needs are the meters that tell us if the Sim is hungry or needs a shower, etc. 9:39 - *The Murphy Bed has been made less lethal.* This is my favorite one. The Murphy Bed is a Sims staple for both Sims 2 and Sims 3, made available in the latter by the University Life Expansion Pack. The lethal element, as it was a fold-out-of-the-wall bed, was that there was a chance your Sim would be crushed beneath the bed when they brought it down from the wall. This chance was originally far too high, so this patch lowered it. And, even though I've seen other people say it already,the plumbob is the diamond above the active Sim's head. Now I want to see what the sims was like when these glitches, errors, and stuff wasn’t fixed.

For some reason sims spin when changing clothes and after a sim dies they talk into the grim reaper. Therefore, it was never technically a glitch, it's simply that they didn't want sims being naked while talking to the grim reaper.

"Pregnant Sims can no longer brawl" Go to west Baltimore. You'll see plenty of pregnant humans brawling.

7:46 They only patched out the ability for abductions to happen on houseboats - which only appear in Island Paradise. That means alien abduction is still possible anywhere else in the game. Also, the Murphy bed is lethal because it's one of those beds that folds up against the wall, and using it in-game has the chance of it falling and crushing your Sim.

Needs are the stats like bladder, hunger, fun etc. If they are frozen, that means that they won’t change.

“Sims will no longer occasionally flip or stutter when trying to walk through doorways” Bullshit, my Sims 3 game was fully patched and that still happened to me.

I love how he sometimes has to reread them but as an experienced sim player you just go like: ah yes, classic Sims

The bed you joked about having knives is a bed that goes into a wall like opening a mailbox lid so if it opens it might land on top of you & CRUSH you to death or injure you from fall damage

11:22 It's basically saying that they fixed it so that the person who drowned while Skinny Dipping will now be clothed before the Grim Reaper does what he needs to. Because apparently before they fixed that the drowned Sim was approached and taken care of by the Grim reaper just as is. (also 4:12 made me think of the movie Game Plan for a second.)

A Murphy Bed is actually a bed that fold up to the wall, usually disguised as a large closet. When it says it could be lethal, it most likely means the scenario of the Murphy Bed folding back up into the wall while the sim sleeps on it.

You uploaded this after I stopped playing the Sims. Coincidence? I think not.

7:10 A sims' needs is the 6 stats (energy, food, hygiene, etc.) That keeps the sims alive. If one of these needs goes to low the sims will die. The needs freezing means the sims' needs wont lower making them virtually immortal in these 6 thing

About this one: “Sims that drown while skinny dipping will now spin into their clothes while interacting with the grim reaper” When sims change clothes, they just jump and spin in place and suddenly have a new outfit. This change means that the sim’s ghost will not be in a skinny dipping outfit when reaped

A plumbob is the green jewel thing that floats above a Sim's head. I learnt that from the tutorial of the Sims Freeplay! 🙃

7:00 If I remember correctly, been a while since I played The Sims, the Needs are the things like eating and comfort. The meters every sim has. The fact they are frozen means they do not move. This happen in special occasions so a sim does not die or pass out.

Let me explain the "Spin into their clothes" ( 2:56 ) Sims do a spinning animation when changing their clothes. they do not dress/undress normally. They meant that sentence very literally

3:29 I know this is 2 years old, but, I have never played sims, and even I can tell that it means they continued the woo hoo, but with the reaper, or walked out of the pool naked to die to death.

plumbob is the diamond thing above a Sim's head. Sims change clothes Wonder Woman style. In The Sims 3, towns are called worlds. Space rocks fall to Earth. Sims' needs (hunger, bladder, energy, social, etc.) are based on sliding scales, which can freeze. IDK why the houseboat one is expansion-specific when the time machine one isn't, but houseboats are specific to Island Paradise. You can't get alien abductions disabled on houseboats if there are no houseboats to begin with. The Murphy Bed is a bed that pulls down from the wall. There is a chance of it falling on a Sim and killing them when they try to pull it out. EA made it less lethal by lowering that chance.
