The movie is actually very similar to the first book, I also watched the movie first (and thought I LOVED IT) until I read the books, I still love the movie but I am so mad about it because the creators of the movie treated it like a joke, vampire Academy isn’t really supposed to be a comedy and the movie made the books seem like a joke. I’m super excited for the TV show because even if it doesn’t follow the books perfectly, and as long as it isn’t cheesy, it will be dark and dramatic like the books are.

If you like Adrian more, you should definitely read the Bloodlines series! He's a main character in that one.

I definitely understand you when you said you didn't like when she recaps the previous books. As someone who read them as they were coming out, I loved the recaps. But I definitely understand. As others have said, Read Bloodlines. In my opinion it's the better series even though I love VA. Bloodlines was just top tier 👏

Same here Blood Promise is my favorite, I loved Rose out of the Academy and away from Lissa for a change. And that twist was amazing 👏

you should check out the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. each book is like 400+ (there's 4 total), 1 novella and 2 graphic novels.

I do not require you to force yourself to stay awake for clicks, or to get my attention. Gimmicks are overrated, but it is quite impressive to me, how quickly you can read. Cheers! #LFLR "VBW"

I really struggle with finishing series so by reading them in 24 hours it meant I could get all of them off my tbr in one go rather than it taking me years to finish like it normally does
