You gotta love it when lyricists decide to exceed the number of syllables per line here and there... they did the same with the Arabic lyrics of Wind in My Hair >< But I like the translation here, especially the" (.....) carved in stone, you know" lines; they sound so cool :D Varian and Ilaria sound great and Cassandra's good too; overall a lovely version :3
Yes, it's unbearable to me XD I usually like our Revival adaptations, but lately our lyricist has been disappointing me quite a lot and this series holds lyrics in a very poor and rushed language....I really don't like them :/ After LMMYP, I was pretty worried about Varian, but he made up for the not-quite-convincing performance he gave previouly ù.ù And I'm pretty satisfied with Ilaria and Cassandra as well...the weak point remain the lyrics, which make the song hard to swollow for me XD
Same here.. The lyricist working on the songs of this series is known for great work, but he's been providing some weak lyrics here. For example, the last bit of Varian's solo part is "I'm going to fight (x3), because I'm right" ..like hello??? is that the best justification you could find?? In addition to some language errors, like having some words that end with short vowels at the end of the line and therefore elongating the vowel... They surely go lazy when it's a series they're working on.
Well...if I can play devil's advocate, "I'm going to fight, because I'm right" is just a transposition of "I'll stand up and fight 'cause I know that I'm right"...this of course, doesn't mean that giving it that much room (and consequently, importance) was the best choice he could make. Anyway, I've sneaked a quick peek into the world of dubbing and relized how much it's all in a rush. Everything must be done very quickly, be it translating, adapting or dubbing itself. And this comes to be even more drammatic when it comes at TV-series, for which (in some cases) the dubbing can be made even the day before being aired. So when I uploaded the Italian version of LMMYP and wondered why RAIEB wasn't out yet and somebody replied "they might not have dubbed it yet" I thought that was an extremely believable guess. The market of TV-series requires a rythm which forces everyone in the chain to do everything much more quickly than they should. That's probably the reason behind this all.

Idk what they were thinking honestly. Egyptians were never the best at writing lyrics in MSA, but this is a bit too much.. which is why I wish a certain Syrian lyricist (who wrote MSA lyrics for Anastasia and Swan Princess) would take that job as he lives in Egypt now. His work in those movies is beyond amazing. Yeah I've read about that once and how Disney is always rushing them to send the dub in asap. That's quite unfortunate, but oh well.. we'll rant anyway at times, won't we? x)

I've also commented on another video but oh boy I never get bored commenting for Tangled stuff ((": This is the best performance of Varian for me & I love how he changed the key of "Ready as I'll Ever Be" to fit his range (feeling like repeating myself, actually did tho). Cassandra has some resonante notes I love so much, she is surely great. I DON'T LIKE EUGENE HE DESERVED MUCH BETTER, ESPECIALLY IN ITALIAN ;----; Generally I expected a bit more, but still it's a solid performance no doubt!
Yep, thankfully they spared us a performance like that of LMMYP, making the singer more confortable with the song, which led to an overall good result of his, I think. I'm also satisfied with Cassandra, I'm not much into the choice they made for the speaking, but the singer is pretty fine imo. As for Eugene...my guess is that, given the evident hurry they made this song in and since Eugene sings literally 6 words in the entire song (I can't remember, does he sing anywhere else in the episode?), they just decided to cut things short and make the speaking voice sing those 10 syllables too instead of calling back the person who sang in _Before ever after_ (whom I'm pretty sure is not Nanni Baldini). Quite honestly, I don't think that any of Eugene's _long_ singing parts will be taken over by Nanni. But the most unbearable pain here remain the lyrics, to me....cannot help it...
Molte canzoni diseny anche meglio adattate non necessariamente hanno come ritornello la traduzione letterale dell‘originale (vedi Tarzan, dove "son of man" diventa "figlio di chi è padre ormai" e parliamo di versioni di canzoni adattate e cantate dallo stesso Collins)
Il doppiaggio italiano è quasi sempre eccellente, ma in questo caso, per quanto possa essere difficile, non sono riusciti a rendere la canzone al livello (o, come a volte è successo, superiore) di quella originale. Varian in quella originale canta come se volesse dire che sa di sbagliare ma per lui è l'unico modo e l'unica strada possibile da percorrere e quindi per quanto può sembrare cattivo deve farlo e non gli si può dare torto. In questa Varian non apre proprio il discorso del fatto che dal suo punto di vista lui non ha torto o che non ha altra scelta e la cosa fa perdere molto.

Comunque non so veramente cosa abbiano fatto con questa serie in Italiano! I testi in generale sono stati adattati malamente, a parer mio, con parole poco significative e frasi a volte talmente semplici da risultare imbarazzanti! Per non parlare delle canzoni! Oltre alla povertà del testo si aggiunge anche il povero cantante che deve correre perché il testo non é stato adattato alla canzone correttamente e quindi le frasi strabordano sempre! Poi, non mi é piaciuta la scelta di molti doppiattori. L'unica cosa che mi ha soddisfatto abbastanza é stata "Il vento tra i capelli" anche se non é l'adattamente che preferisco.
Sì, sono d'accordo...la scelta dei doppiatori è stata troppo frettolosa (è palese che il cantante per Varian non arrivi alle note più alte, il che ha imposto di tagliare la prima sillaba del verso "ready as I'll ever be" per non ottenere risultati tipo quelli sentiti in LMMYP) e i testi sono evidentemente messi su all'ultimo. Sono anch'io profondamente delusa dalla serie...
Perso, j'aime bien ces paroles :) enfin, il y a des passages très bons et d'autres plus décevants mais dans l'ensemble ça reste meilleur que les paroles françaises x) Et Varian me fait beaucoup penser au chanteur Italien de Hercules (je peux me tromper, ça fait très longtemps que je ne l'ai pas entendu ^^)

La canzone non è intonata bene, poi la traduzione non è come all'originale, le voci che si intonano sono quelle Varian e Rapunzel,il coro dei cavalieri doveva avere più ritmo e doveva essere più basso (più da uomo meno da donnicciola) la stessa cosa vale per la voce di flynn che è acuta e infine ready as i'll ever be non significa "è il momento ormai" significa "pronto come non sono mai stato" o senno potevano abbreviarlo con "pronto come non mai"che ci vuole?
È un problema che si riscontra su tutti i programmi tv e i dvd europei: sono leggermente velocizzati e quindi anche più acuti. Il problema è che le tv da 720 pixel europee, per una questione di energia richiesta, prendono 4 fotogrammi al secondo in meno rispetto a quelle americane (problema che è stato risolto per il 1080, quindi i Blu-ray non hanno questa differenza). Per poter mandare in onda i programmi su queste tv (e quindi anche sui dvd, che hanno la stessa risoluzione), vengono tagliati quei quattro fotogrammi al secondo, facendo sì che l'intero film sia più veloce e più acuto. È un problema che riguarda tutte le tv e tutti i dvd europei e giapponesi, non solo quelli italiani.

Sì, anche a me....davvero, di solito sono soddisfatta dei testi proposti dall'adattatrice attuale, ma ultimamente ha inanellato un fiasco dopo l'altro e questa serie fa particolarmente acqua :/
Comunque, in termini di sillabe, di musicalità e anche solo di normalità del parlato, la parte tra 1:49 e 1:56 non sta per niente bene. Ci sarebbe stato ugualmente se avessero usato delle espressioni più comuni, come "mi ascolteranno/mi crederanno" invece che questo scempio di "ascolteranno me/credete in me". Sta malissimo come suona, è una forzatura linguistica che non si usa quasi mai (se non in determinati casi) e che nel contesto della canzone costringe i cantanti ad accelerare per poter poter ficcare tutte le sillabe nei limiti imposti dal ritmo. L'alternativa che ho citato sarebbe dovuto essere la soluzione più semplice ed evidente. Se questo fosse il risultato di un lavoro amatoriale, potrebbe anche passare. Ma se è la versione ufficiale, non penso proprio si sia fatto un buon lavoro. (Editato: comunque, anche nel resto della canzone si possono notare difficoltà evidenti. La traduzione non ha un buon suono in generale, si utilizzano veramente troppo parole che suonano noiose per chiudere le rime, come "me/te" e così via. è un trend che noto sempre più spesso anche nelle canzoni recenti del panorama italiano, che propongono rime obbrobriose e scontate, come "sole, cuore e amore". Come si fa ad ascoltarle e a non sbuffare per la banalità? Inoltre, a 2:14 avrebbero potuto usare la versione della parola "oramai", che con quel ritmo conclusivo sarebbe suonata molto meglio del suo corrispettivo breve "ormai". Nel parlato di ogni giorno non è comune preferire la versione lunga a quella corta, ma nelle canzoni invece sì! La "a" viene aggiunta per rendere la parola più musicale e piacevole all'ascolto. Chiedo perdono se sono pedante, ma la traduzione è una mia passione, e onestamente mi stupisce non poco che un adattatore di professione cada in errori grossolani e da principianti come questi.)

Ho ascoltato in tutte le lingue questa canzone e secondo me questa versione va tra quelle peggiori... Non tanto per il testo ma per il modo in cui è cantato. La versione originale ha dei bravissimi cantanti e soprattutto espressivi
È Nanni Baldini, lo stesso doppiatore di Ciuchino, Scooby Doo, Stewie Griffin, Alastor (Hazbin Hotel), Teru Mikami (Death Note), Daemon Targaryen (House of the Dragon). E credimi dopo averlo sentito cantare nel ruolo di Alastor la sua non la trovo affatto una brutta voce

Eeeeeee....ok no la odio in italiano, mi hanno rovinato la canzone aiut. C'è da dire che la voce di Varian sembra effettivamente quella di un quattordicenne, non come nella versione inglese e francese😂 Restano comunque le migliori, soprattutto la voce di Cassandra, è terribile in italiano...e anche quella di Rapunzel aiuto
