he's been told it's a fun game of make-believe for hundreds of years, and he believes it
Luz only thinks they're evil because they're associated with Belos and she misremembered the quote as 'curse the land in nine bright hues' and she doesn't realise how many people Belos tricks - all his associates have been tricked, not just her, The Collector fell for it, too. But she still blames him. hoping for an arc where her forgiveness of herself leads to her forgiveness of The Collector

The Collector deserves a happy ending and best of all: a mum who won't take advantage of them siblings who know what it's like to be left behind and outcast/isolated from your peers
