Nothing is more terrifying, violent, etc. than the what human mind could come up with. It's better to leave it unplayed out, makes for better storytelling.

I loved that in the SWAT games. Trying to get an idea of what you'll be up against before you go in there.

@@fosty. in swat 3 they had intro and outro cinematics, but the missions themselves had briefing only.

I hope that they package the levels with a campaign progression for the final release, it'd add a lot.

A career mode is planned to be implemented in the long run. And I'm sure the multiplayer mode with the planning elements will return at some point down the line. Just have to be patient

this is great and i know it's a near future dystopian universe, but still think the civilian death count and body piles are a bit too high. there must be like 200 dead bodies inside. also, who was the one who locked the back exits? a confederate or one of them went around the back before they dropped the rest out front? also, typically these attacks are carried out by no more than 2 or 3 people. other than that really immersive and nice mission. i hope to see more civilian variety too. thank you, void.

​@@cagneybillingsley2165the part with the doors is indeed authentic and you don't even need someone to actively lock them. It for example happened in the pulse club shooting. A large crowd of panicked people couldn't even unlatch a door when the shooting happend. A military Vet had to do it.

Straight up man played it for the first time yesterday, was quite shocking how graphic it was, but I can appreciate it for the realism.

I played this game for the first time about 2 days ago and this was the very first map I played. At first it confused me but seeing how realistic the game was gave me a bit of fear. The level of realism made me get scared shitless 😂 the game is fucking awesome ❤ this is the first time I’ve ever felt fear playing a game and I’ve played a ton of horror games

Whats even crazy is people go through this stuff in real life. This map “Neon Tomb” is based off a real shooting some place in Florida due to a man getting angry with American intervention in Syria. Kinda crazy people go through these events irl

AAA studios are all about the income these days, don't really need that experience unless you're trying to milk your fanbase try every year

yeah well the pvp beta was absolute dogshit, since they switched to pve its absolutely a different story, i hope they will manage to implement the pvp somehow, like it used to be in swat4

@@m00tes it was never meant to be a pvp game. They put out the pvp because it was the easiest way to showcase gameplay.

their is confirmed to be a campaign (career mode) coming with the full release of the game. thats where we'll prob see these kind of cutscenes.

I thought there was a planned addition for a briefing / planning phase of the mission, but I can't find information now. I thought it was talked about in a dev interview.

Damn that "environmental story telling" buzz word gets a lot of use. I think this video is a bit silly and downplays the "story" to a childish level.

@@kissaninja9700 Well first this is a independent thought that you didn't need to attach as a reply to someone else's comment. But since you did, might as well point out the biggest flaw with the video is I can't really tell you if this is accurate dialog for a Yemen Extremist group. And safe bets on you can't either. But even if it is inaccurate which safe bet there is maybe you have to cut slack, I don't think there are many good resources for "How do I talk like a Yemen Terrorist who's about to kill a bunch of people?" or at least any that wouldn't put you on a watch list of some kind. So I'll say I think its a valid opinion to think it feels it comes off silly but same time I think you should recognize it might be hard to make something that's 100% solid, especially since this isn't a final cutscene going into the game and just a small thing made for an update to get you in a tense mood to play the game again. And for the environmental story telling complaint, it gets a lot of use because it actually does hold true. Well except, in my personal opinion, the crack den level. Mean its okay, there's a small story of homelessness, but nothing of a level of envisioning a play by play of what happened right before you got there. But other than that, it really is good.

Yeah honestly, a "detective mode" is something I've been wanting for a while. Maybe after you clear a level you could search around for clues that grant you additional intel in other maps if there's a plot thread between them.

@@deeznutz8320 Interesting, I did not know that. It makes sense though, I see alot of parallels between both the pulse club and the bataclan theatre shootings. I am from europe so that might be why I thought bataclan before the pulse club.

@@MajorGore I am pretty sure this is based more on Bataclan than pulse. between their reasoning for the attack and comparisons aftermath pictures of bataclan to the in-game level. It's likely more or less a mix of both.

i think these are just teasers for promotion. even though they're cool and high quality, the game itself might be subject to change still. they should do like the swat games, have cinematics but not for every mission.

I don't think they are planning on a campaign considering there are already missions that you can play with your AI teammates.

@@abhinandanpanda5540 Maybe not a true campaign, but most of the maps are linked together, and it wouldn’t be too hard to create a specific order to play them in to create a linear story

They already made a cutscene about Brisa Cove. It shows the veterans targeting and killing a politician from a high ground in the hotel. It's in one of the previous videos from the channel

@@rachel6301 The fact that they're actually planning to add that shit... between it, and the preview to Ground Branch's AI teammates they released a month or so ago, the classic tactical shooter renaissance is real.

Same feeling for me, although i'm not a parisien, but it still feels scary that it could happen to any of us.
