Gacha Jana No no, in the play while Adam is refurbishing the old crib, Barbra walks off stage to “answer a phone call”. And when she comes back she says “That was the O’Brians calling-“ Adam pipes up. “Oh don’t worry! I’ll have this finished before that baby gets here!” And Barbra replies. “She had it yesterday.” Indicating that Adam was mixing and polishing up an old crib for possibly a family friend or it was commission work.
To answer a few of your questions: Adam is a carpenter doing work on a crib for another couple with a baby. Barbra and Adam are scared to have a child, of course. They did die and Beetlejuice teaches them how to scare the Deetzes, who move into their house next. The next song animatic to watch is the "Whole Being Dead Thing Pt. 2" and I would highly recommend watching the original movie by Tim Burton. It's not exactly like the musical, but you'll get a feel for the general plot. Hope this helps!
Me: * listening to Home from Beetlejuice and crying my eyes out * Christine wont post right now right? Christine: I am inevitable Also next animatic is the whole being dead thing part 2
It's not that they aren't ready to have children but that Adam and Barbara live their entire lives afraid of failing and so miss out on a lot of what makes life WORTH living. They are terrified of failing as parents and of raising a child that's miserable and hates them. The do things they don't even enjoy because they know they can succeed in them. Their character arc in the musical is about letting go of their fears of failure and just enjoying themselves and the people around them for who and what they are, imperfections and the occasional failures included.
In the musical, he tells the audience that they're gonna die before the song and throughout the whole song he's just jamming out and waiting for it to happen. At one point, Adam asks Barbara if she wants something to eat and she asks for a sandwich and Beetlejuice pops in like "Spoiler alert, she's never going to eat the sandwich".
In the show, Beetlejuice makes very clear that they are going to die and be his new best friends. So, when they’re about to die, beetlejuice comes out with popcorn and 3D glasses. At one point Barbara said she needed to make a meeting or something. And Beetlejuice says “Spoiler alert! She’s never gonna make that meeting.” So, in the show, we go into the song knowing they’re about to die.

I'm probably late but unfortunately they did die. They said about the floor a they ended up falling through,in the result of death But beetlejuice made it happen.
~Towards the bed~ Aycristene: ~Dancing with them singing~ Adam and Barbara: ~Dies~ Aycristene: ~Just wise eyed~ Me: ~Laughing butt off because I loved her reaction~
I recommend checking out Teen Idle which is a heathers animatic from Szin!! She covered the song herself so you can ignore getting blocked for that one! Just search “Teen idle: Heathers animatic” and click on szins! It tells the story of heathers but in one song!
In cut lines/songs, I'm unaware which it is, It's revealed they tried to have a baby but resulted in a miscarriage. Barbara is wanting to try again, but Adam needs time to heal.
the next one is "the whole being dead thing pt. 2" and you should look at this version: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ErHL4qwwyxw.html ! another person already said it bc it contains more actual audio clips from the stage performance, but i also wanted to say if u also watch ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kK0ODO6B_oY.html before it, it helps explain Beetlejuics's motives!!!!!!!!!
When you listen to “Fright of their Lives” please please listen to this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jdaKCveCdkM.html it’s so well made and includes audio from the actual broadway musical (stuff that’s not in the music)!
