Today's video is PART 2 of a Boeing 737 Simulator full flight from LIME to LEPA.
I'm going to show you what you have to do during the cruise phase of your flight and how can you prepare the aircraft for a Descend, Approach, and Landing at your destination.
We will talk about the importance of checking the switch's position once you reach your cruise level, and then we will prepare the Boeing 737 Simulator for our descend.
When preparing and briefing for an approach it is very important to have a clear structure on your briefing and preparation.
Doesn't matter what's your structure is as long as it works for you!
My suggestion is to build up a structure that follows your flight phases, so, first, you want to talk about your descend, then your approach, your landing with the landing performance calculation, and lastly you want to talk about your taxi routing.
In this video, I will share with you why it is important to set your FMC right, how you can calculate your landing performances and what factors you should take into consideration when preparing for a landing.
Also, we will dive into the STAR (Standard Arrival Route) and into the Approach Plate.

Good Day Capt,what is a speed trim system @B737 ? which flight control surface is used for speed trim for Boeing 737 ?...have a nice Sunday

Hey, Thanks for watching!! the STS takes the information from the stabilizer position, the vertical speed and the aircraft speed change and then it moves the stabilizer to make sure that the aircraft has a trimmed speed.

Hello Captain, great part 2! I'm really enjoying this full flight, hope you'll perform one on X-Plane 11 and Zibo Mod so I can keep up with you 💪 However, as usual, I have some questions : 1) Why did you select the bank angle selector to 10? I've seen this before but I can't recall the exact purpose of it (I know it works only when HDG SEL or VOR/LOC mode are engaged but I wanted to ask anyways because I leave it to 25 almost all the time). 2) At 18.41 you said you were going to use TL70 but on the FMC you still had 18000. Did you forget that or it is not necessary to set it at this moment of the flight? I'm glad to see that you updated the AIRAC Cycle on SimBrief so it now matches the STARS on the FMC. At 29.01 you again inputted 15 F of OAT on the performance calculator instead of 15 C. Thanks for this great idea you had with the full flight and thanks in advance for your answers, talk to you soon ☺

As usual great questions! 1. I set 10 degrees above FL 300 because if the ATC gives you radar vectors you are protected. 2. It is better to set the TL on the FMC, I'm sure I simply forgot :) For me it is a lot easier to operate on the real Plane..

How to start extending the flaps for a stable Non-Precision approach?

Thanks for watching! Check this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4wXOjOuJs9E.html On Wednesday I will upload an other video where you can check how to extend the flaps during the Approach.

@@PILOTCLIMB Thank you captain! I have another problem in the flight sim. In a 737 NG when you hand fly an approach with A/P off and *A/T on* then the A/T should retard the throttles at 27' RA, and then A/T should disconnect 2 seconds after touchdown. But when I leave *A/T on* in my flight sim it does not happen, when I flare, the A/T advances the throttles, and the aircraft continues to float above the runway trying to maintain VREF spd., as the FMA annunciates MCP speed, and not RETARD. 😂😂😂 It is quite funny though. Do you have the same problem in your flight sim? Can you pleases check it for me?

My homemade pedals are still too soft, I need stronger springs. Do pedals self neutralize (go back to their neutral positions) in real life as you release pressure in them?

Yes they go back 👍

Good Day Capt,in case of hydraulic power failed/loss on B737 NG....are primary flight control such as aileron/spoiler , elevator , rudder still can be operated ?
@PILOTCLIMB
@PILOTCLIMB 3 года назад
It depends if you have a loss of hyd A and B, in this case the rudder is operated by the standby rudder system and the main flight controls go into the manual reversion, which means that the hyd does not power the flight controls anymore, thus, making a lot harder for the pilot to change pitch and roll for example.

@@PILOTCLIMB I see... the rudder is operated by the standby rudder system,so this mean only rudder still be powered by standby hydraulic ,for aileron and elevator not anymore incase loss of Hydraulic A and B so have to fly manual inversion using wire string or muscle force of pilot hand?
