it was a pretty cool episode and odly enough I know one the guys who built the 2 robots in that big bang theroy episode and he's still apart of the robot combat scene to this day

@The Gold Life The Big Bang Theory Season 9 Episode 3 The Bachelor Party Corrosion The Guys applied Four Scientific Principles to get a lug nut off Richard Feynman's van. I would love to see you react to it. P.S. Richard Feynman's van was actually used in the episode.

You know a physicists developed the foundation of modern technologies, right? They're just not interested in commercializing it, that's where engineers come in. And physicists don't, for the most part, build their own equipment. There's no one without the other. And as a note, Kripke in this show is also a theoretical physicist - that doesn't mean you can't have hobbies and make stuff...

I'm watching the new Battlebots season now. Episode 4 just came out. I don't think it has a chance against the top teams but that walker robot Team Chomp brought looks to be a mechanical engineering masterpieces. I am hope they give us a closer look at the walking mechanisms.

All of the figures and stuff on the counter are mostly things bought for me over all the birthdays, christmas, holidays.

OP, maybe they dont have the budget or approval to build such thing in their labs... plus, this is their hobby. You act like everything should be done in the labs... Does your investors allow you to spend their money to build your hobbies? Probably not...
