There are many Christian denominations which aren't Catholics, such as Orthodox (out of which the Roman church came), the oldest Protestant churches (Evangelical, Anglican, Lutheran etc. which came out of the Roman church) who celebrate Christmas devotedly. Catholic / non - Catholic is just such an unproductive way of speaking about Christians. And JW aren't even Christian! How can a Christian reject or even attack Christmas (or Easter for that matter)? It is anathema!

You'd be surprised brother! I have first hand met a family that runs an Evangelical church who has stopped celebrated Christmas because they believe it has pagan origins. I've experienced demons twice in others, and whilst you can have a conversation, most of the time they don't want to have a conversation, and the rest of the time you are too frightened of them. One time I was cursed in a demonic language by a man, who told me he had a demon. I did not attempt to talk to the demon but only spoke to them man. Unfortunately he built an effigy and attempted to cause a fire and was made homeless. The other individual I knew cut himself up so badly and was also made homeless.

It is part of the process of weakening the possession. They are not having a chitchat about nothing.

They are absolutely forbidden to have a conversation. They are only ever supposed to ask specific questions that the demons are bound by the Power of God to not lie. They are under no such obligation not to mislead if engaged in idle chit chat.

It often happened with them both at once, together, but every time I happened to be in my own room. So I doubted. Then God granted a personal experience. Then another. I thought it was some recurring dream, and tested this. I discarded nutrition, dehydration, deterioration of my sanity, lack of proper sleep. It just came _back._ While I'd rather not, I can go into detail how I discarded all other possibilities if you need me to. Yet still I would not recommend it. I haven't known true terror until then. While I had recently converted through reason and research, my heart wasn't there, and didn't even bother with communion. Never have I trusted God and fought for my sanctification this hard in my whole life. but I'm just going to stop right here, I hate recalling this. I have no idea how this priest can speak of these things so casually. I don't think I'd ever get used to demonic stuff. May God deliver us all from evil. Now I'm fine, in case you're wondering. It's all in the past. It's been a couple months now.

I know exactly what you mean. I don’t doubt the existence of the demonic. I pray that our priests who perform exorcisms remain steadfast in their pursuit of holiness. Father, Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.

The Name of Jesus is the only Name that demons will bow to (Philippians 2:10-11), but it is not the only name that causes them fear. I am dealing with demonic possession personally: they are terrified at the words 'Mary Immaculate' (her existence & 'fiat' to God causes them great humiliation). They scream in terror when God is asked to send St Michael, St Raphael, or when Saints such as St Padre Pio or St Benedict are asked to intercede. All that is achieved in Exorcism is the power of God through Jesus Christ to the glory of God in the Most Holy Trinity, but His angels & Saints do cause them (demons) fear. They (angels & Saints) are in complete uniformity to the will of God & He works through them.

For example, he told Peter to kill and eat in Acts 10, whereas before those things were unclean. Also see 1 Timothy 4. Also there are material things that had power, such as the Ark of the Covenant, even touching it kills you. That is also a type for Mary (i.e. she is the New Testament Ark of the Covenant) as she contained God within her. Also relics of Saints have power, see the bones of Elisha in the book of Kings. So things like Holy Water, Relics, Icons etc are windows into the Divine and God uses them. It is still the power of God, but he uses the material. I am Orthodox and our services involve the engagement of all senses; we hear the Word of God, we see the Icons of our Lord, we small the sweet incense, we taste in communion and we touch the Icons and Relic and we do the sign of the cross. God wanted it this way.

If an exorcist knows why the demon was created, he has additional weapons against them, like the rocks from the Shepherd’s Field or a particular saint whom he can call upon.

You've got it all wrong. Angels are only assigned responsibilities but a person's free will is above it because God respects free will. They only take care and guide people they can't make decisions for you. You make your own choices.

From what I heard, when the information is relevant to the possessed person’s liberation, demons are compelled to tell the truth. Otherwise, exorcists say they never believe them.

One, you can’t take everything a demon says at face value. Two, God knowing in His omnipotence that mankind would need a Savior and deigning to design His universe around that future does not automatically make Scotus’ claim correct.

After all, this is the standard in the Bible where people claimed to have seen them or heard them directly. The Church hid abuse from within the institution for decades. Why is it unreasonable to consider the possibility that they were wrong on this?

It’s advised against for lay normal people But Catholics exorcist of course can and have to question demons during exorcism, also to understand how to free the person You should talk to exorcists or even to people who pray with the exorcist (liberation groups)

It is part of the exorcism for the priest, in the name of Jesus, to command the demon to tell the truth. Getting the name of the demon is a crucial part of liberation. Yes, demons always lie. But they can be commanded to tell the truth and this is part of the rite.

This priest has gone far beyond the name and number of spirits oppressing or possessing the patient. He’s asking about the original nature and purpose of their creation. This is wrong. And according to the Church, this is dangerous. Shame on him for sharing this, and shame on Matt for promoting this information/disinformation gathered directly from deceiving spirits.

@@tomgoetz513 , other exorcist has stated that they do in fact are allowed to ask the demon about the purpose of their creation and their nemesis in heaven because it helps in the exorcism process. What they aren't allowed is to have conversation with them.

A nemesis is a type of enemy, especially one that is difficult or impossible to defeat. It could be someone a person (or angel) has a special animosity towards. As such both usages are not incorrect.
