My son worked for Dolph the year before this incident. He introduced me to him and he was so down to earth and generous. After this incident, the retaliation got so bad I moved back to Chicago. EVERYBODY knew within seconds of the video being released who the shooters were. The loss of Dolph was a loss for Memphis. Memphis is a cess pool of ignorance, poverty and low classness (🧐) of epic proportions. But Dolph was dedicated to make a change in an effort to make it better. 💔💔💔 LLDolph 🐬 🐬🐬
@@MAGA4EVA1986 Thankfully, Chicago is a world class city. Although there are pockets of cess pools here, there are also vibrant neighborhoods as well. This is not the case in Memphis. Memphis is subpar in almost every category. Particularly in diversity, earnings potential, the housing is horrific, poor education systems, lack of almost everything you can think of. Few alternatives exist. There’s a big difference between the 2.
My daughter lived in the apartment building that he is seen dropping his kid off(the floor below) 30 minutes before the murder. She had just seen dolph perform the week before he was murdered. I remember she text me and said the rapper she saw had just been murdered an hour ago and how the city was expecting a lot of retaliation killings. She had no idea one of the murderers had left her building right before he killed dolph.
Been subbed couple weeks love your comments and break down. Retired LEO here. I am also in Florida and wanted to say hope you and your family fare well in the coming storm Helene.Keep up great commentary Love it.
The streets and gangs are no way to live. These young men out there throwing their lives away just to sit behind bars is terrible. Glad you are covering this. It's a unique case. I pray Young Dolph gets justice. It's really sad the state we are in as a society and people kill just because someone doesn't follow everyone else, money and notoriety.
The guy who helped push others to their death or to ruin their lives needs justice. lmao. Glorifying everything that took his life is almost like self deletion to me.
Thanks for making the ONLY live videos that I will rewatch. You taking your time to watch before presenting to us is MUCH appreciated!! It’s so different from allllll the other live streamers in this broad genre. I don’t want to watch someone eating breakfast & lunch while we all watch live together. Props to those streamers for their dedication, but I personally don’t care for that format.
It's pathetic that they are willing to kill people for $40K. That's not even a lot of money. $40K for the rest of your life in jail? These are young guys. Just say they live to be 65/70. A life sentence means they got $1K a year for ending a life.
@@amyq6229 I imagine it is because there is no honor, if that is what you call it these guys are scum, and unless you can force a person to pay what are you going to do if they don't pay up? Your only option is to go after them yourself and if they are protected it might be risky. All said no amount of money or anger towards someone is worth going to jail for life. What a horrible way to live out your life.
Yes, I'm interested in you following this trial. Very interesting contrast to YSL, which is soooo boring. This prosecutor really zeroed in on the important parts and so did the defense. YSL prosecutor asks questions that become lost in the minutia and then the defense follows up on the minutia !!!! The witness sounds very similar to the witnesses in YSL...yeah I did it so I took the money...I thought this witness sounded very credible. The accused at present was wearing the same clothes in all the videos, same stature in all videos. Right now, from the video tape, it does seem Justin is the shooter along with the witness. Thanks for doing this overview for us.
Didn't think I'd be interested, but the way you set this up and explained the jist of the case, I'm invested! I'd also highly recommend going over the Laurie Shaver case here in central FL. It was a wild case! I think everyone would love to hear your thoughts.
I believe the witness on the stand. He's not been offered a deal. He identified the shooter and continue to identify him after switching vehicles. We see the same outfit on the same person
Craziest trial I ever watched in person involved co-defendants in a M case. 1 flipped. Told a totally believable story (including how he made his living making/selling crack - the jury AND the packed courtroom believed him). 2nd D convicted; sentenced to life. Fast forward & flipped D (who got 15 years) bragged to cellmate about getting away with M bc HE really did it. OMG. Co-D is eventually released, found factually innocent. Sued County & got many millions. Totally wild.
The saddest part about it is the “big fish” will never get charged. The two defendants may have carried out the act (I wasn’t there), but in believe it goes way deeper than them.
2 Joe's going down. New home of 84 square feet 3 meals a day. Tucked in at night and security to protect them. 3 showers a week for life. What a deal. And there's more. No Honey Due list...
He is a total scumbag (I'm still at the star witness)and that doesn't mean that Johnson is not guilty. To me it doesn't matter who paid for his attorney. I will say that I am glad he's in jail.
From Memphis here, those dudes are dumb af, they didn’t even leave the block after they shot him. All the places they namin is like 2-3 min away from each other, maybe 5 min at the farthest on a reg day, Orange Mound, Lamar @ Airways area, and then left the damn car in front driveway of a house in the little neighborhood right beside where it happened at! Literally RIGHT BESIDE the damn cookie store/car wash/apartment complex, Some of the places they went after.. they had to drive by the scene in different vehicles/clothes multiples times to get to those places so they was seein what was going on at the scene, at first atleast At the same time thou, everybody in Memphis was drivin by the scene to see what was goin on. I was one of them. I live off Airways, the cookie place is on airways too. The dumb ass MPD didn’t even go thru the neighborhood lookin for car or suspects?? I guess they ain’t think they would be right under their nose,
I know the trial isn’t available; would you consider discussing the Marellus Williams execution that did get carried forward today in MO … despite the prosecutor agreeing to an Alford Plea and life - the victims family saying life was justice for them - the DNA on the murder weapon being contaminated…. It’s so rare to see a prosecutor feel the case has issues and be ignored - legally very interesting circumstances that still then refused to be granted clemency… also feel interesting from fact as you have said how elections locally matter - given different Governor I believe was at least letting the case be reviewed by a panel and then w a different AG it got stopped … Thanks Peter always enjoy your channel and chat. My uncle was a federal prosecutor and then defense attorney and he was over the other day and I said I listen to this channel and Peter’s father was on and I felt like I was listening to you ! Calm, succinct, thoughtful
He came off as truthful. I have been around that environment in my pass and you can tell how he isn't stuttering and is matter of fact when he speaks. A lot of so called "thugs and killers" flip when they start thinking about decades in prison. It is not uncommon for people to flip. As usual, they taking photos and bragging about the incident. This type of stuff is sad but unfortunately in my community (black) we seem to have a segment that chose to live this worthless lifestyle.
This is so sad. Young men being manpulated by older men just for a record label. Now these men will lose their lives plus the rapper who just was trying to better his life and his families life. The man that put the bounty on Young Dolph should also be criminally charged.
The one who “they” say ordered the hit is dead now. He died earlier this year. Big Jook aka Big Joke. Yo Gotti is still living. I am dreaming of him being charged!
Justin already had two serious criminal convictions before this. Amazing he was out of jail long enough to commit this crime. Jail should keep them in for longer.
Imo he feels he’s getting locked down either way and there’s no way out. They got him and he knows it. He’s been locked up and don’t care. He just knows he will need protection now. Too many people respected Dolph here. These boys know what’s ahead of them
I have to admit, the codefendant seems totally credible. Sure, he may put a little twist where he can get away with it. It's human nature to protect yourself or others you care about. I don't believe any person could get on the stand and give a completely unbiased testimony. We're not devices that just record and regurgitate raw data. Our stories and experiences are always commincated through the lense of our own experience and with our own intrinsic motivations, even when that motivation is to tell the truth. The prosecution did great to get out ahead of the bad aspects of his character and his involvement. It is clear he saw the writing on the wall with all the video and digital evidence that he was going away for life. There would be no benefit to him taking the fall and spending his life away when he could potentially get a chance at freedom down the road by just telling the truth. Especially where his codefendant is in the same seat he's in with the damning evidence clearly screwing them both out of freedom. He took the offer because it was either he take it and possibly get some benefit, or just as likely his fellow accused would do the same and put the nail in his coffin. The actions are in line with his character. Do it for the money, do it for the street cred, do it for his freedom. He's admitted he has no feeling taking a man's life for money. It's not unblievable that he would sell out the other criminal involved for a chance at freedom in his lifetime.
Do you think these 2 murderer's graduated from Harvard? Nope... They probably didn't finish high school. They'll claim they were from the projects, only lived with mom, lived in a drug infested neighborhood. They should have gotten $50,000 as a down payment. Who is the person that hired these 2 guys? My condolences to Dollph's family.
this video shows you how quick it can end and how senseless it can be. over 800 bucks. RIP. dolph's brother probably sees that event replaying every time he puts his head on the pillow. probably gonna be that way for a long, long time.
Please cover this trial! I drove by there im guessing around 12:15pm that day, I work right off Airways where this occurred. I take lunch at 12pm and it takes me like 10 to get to Airways @ Ketchum where the cookie store at. This happened at 12:21PM ish. I literally just missed it!! I live and work off of Airways Blvd. crazy to know I was almost a witness to this crime being covered by soooo many people! I drove back by after it happened and people were EVERYWHERE, cops, detectives, civilians, soooooo many people were out there. Idk how the police kept everyone under control. Everybody in the city was drivin by taking pics and videos, parking wherever they could then walking down the road to get even closer like drivin by ain’t enough, it’s literally right off the MAIN ROAD. Just like a gas station is kinda but closer to edge of road.
Come on man. Is that even question. Cornelius seems like a dummy for thinking they was going to get away with a m*rder, but he's actually bright, clear and concise when discussing how they ended up taking out Young Dolph.
I think he gave a lot of details about the crime but I don't believe him about the defendant being there. But I would love for you to continue covering it
Yeah, it's a good move to say in this case that it's hard to keep track of details if you're lying. However, what did that actually elicit from witness in this case? It's tricky but all is fair in dealing with a co-defendent as State's witness.
It’s hard to believe a liar but the pics and videos sure seem to match. I noticed how his voice changed when being questioned by the defense. I know it means something but I really don’t know just what. Haha. Some jurors might know 🤷♀️ I wasn’t impressed by the cross. I could easily forget when telling the truth. Recap every couple of days, it’s hard for me to follow.
Day 2 is supreme. Lots of surveillance coverage of the previous day. Justin wearing the same exact clothing. Driving the the white Mercedes. Testimony from the guy who gave Justin the Mercedes, Justin’s brother also testified.
Peter, I hope you see this… would the autopsy be able to determine which gun actually killed Dolph? If a bullet is recover from the body that is determined to be the lethal shot, could the defense use that to protect their client and go after the witness….?
That Cookie store is off the MAIN ROAD! Airways Blvd. then it happened During folks Lunch break, 12:21pm.. and It’s right beside the damn Airport. You know they got cameras and people EVERYWHERE!! They gave no f’s.., they wanted the money and ain’t even get it! Jook done got killed since so he won’t be in any trouble. Jook hated Dolph and found 2 crash dummies to do his work, he paid the price for it thou with his life, he did save $99,200 thou! karma is a mfer… I wonder if they can go after Gotti/CMG since Jook was so high up in CMG. Do yall think they could hit Yo Gotti with a RICO or any trouble legally? I’m from Memphis, I live off Airways Blvd, just inside of Mississippi thou. 8-10 min away from where this happened so I know where ALL these places are. They were 5-6 min away at most from the crime scene at after they killed Dolph.. Originally from Memphis, Moved to Southaven, Mississippi cause it’s 10000000x less hood. It’s on the stateline of Tennessee and Mississippi. Crime is horrible in Memphis, don’t want my kid growing up in that city
