I’ve been struggling with panic attacks and heightened anxiety the last two days, and the hypnosis demonstration helped me feel grounded. Maybe I’ll look into more grounding hypnosis stuff…..
Huh. Guess I have a bit of a backlog to watch. This is like the 4th video I didn't notice that was uploaded right away. idk if that's just me or what, I have the bell set to all notifications too.
Remember, if someone is trying to hypnotize you without your consent, just say no. It is fundamentally impossible for you to be hypnotized without your consent. Now if only characters in fiction knew this, then so many issues would be circumvented.
This is actually not true for some. Most people haven't been conditioned by hypnosis enough, but those who use hypnosis a lot (especially of the wrong types) can become vulnerable without the right precautions to random hypnosis. Basically because they have been conditioned beforehand, they can be trained for their will to be bypassed when in trance. That's why it's best practice to always add protections to any indication to prevent others abusing their susceptibility.
here's the thing. What if you want to? You don't want *this person* to do that, but you still like it. You enjoy it. And they're skilled. They know what they're doing, keeping you off balance, unsteady, and *comfortable* so they can abuse you. It's without your consent, but you're manipulated.
@@morningstarcollective4671 that is being hypnotized with your consent. In case you could not tell, this is a joke, you obviously got manipulated into giving consent in that situation, which is never a possibility that is out of the question when it comes to situations where consent is needed. However my comment was about, and *only* about, situations where you never wanted to be hypnotized in the first place and likely had never been hypnotized before. (Because why else would I make the jab at the all too common “hypnosis against will” plots in tv shows, in the same comment where I said that as long as you never let yourself get hypnotized and set your mind to not getting hypnotized you will not get hypnotized.)
I just realized that when my school counselors were doing one thing (i forgot what it was called, but I think it was called mindfulness), it was actually hypnosis to help relieve stress. I was never effected all that much by it, but still.
no, that is meditation (unless they stated otherwise). A simple search online will verify this. They are similar enough to be confused commonly even by those who practice it. Those who practice it may do both. Despite the similarities, they are very distinct. Meditation focuses on relaxation of your consciousness, it is mostly imagery, a headspace. Hypnosis focuses on setting the patient in a state where their subconscious stands out and they are easily convinced to do, belief, and more.
nah thats not hypnosis bruh, mindfulness is COMPLETELY different. A form of meditating gives you that literal superhuman effect. Its like taking a fucking xanax pill but better. relaxation, super focus, complete full control, kills anxiety, depression (that xanax effect), and it gives you that "im alive" type feeling. This shit is fucking secret to mind bruh
this is actually amazing, i can see why people see this is some sort of magic, it really does feel like it, i felt soo relaxed but i kept laughing because it was so cool
It kinda is, not thessuperal magic but mentalists ad magicians dig into the brains blindspots and shopw openly how they do tricks. its why some sceptics ar alsomagicians. asiest way how totrick pople in a honest way, and how easy. Its very interesting and cool.
Unfortunately, I know people who use that assocation technique. One in particular used it to learn about repressed memories of others. Said person then used as leverage to gain favors or positions or even as extortion on their so-called friends. We caught onto this scheme and called them out. Said culprit would bring up the association, "I was beaten as a child, too" and use that as justification or excusing their actions. Sometimes the culprit would exaggerate experiences or outright lie all in a way to pretend to be your buddy. When in fact they're secretly trying to destroy you. Why? Some do it for leverage. Some for money. Even for kicks. Others are so damn miserable with their lives they'll refuse to take responsibility for their own faults, and just want other people to suffer, because in their own mind; no one is allowed to be happy.
people having faced aabuse can become abuser, maybe the same. And reall enough gt help in any way , aye sopme had shitty experiences and instead learning how bad that is and mayb try to heal, they repeat it. Its probably as reasonable as any abuse : ( or it could be sociopaths, either way, not cool.
@@OhHeyItIsNano Welcome to dark humor, my guy. You’ve just witnessed the most plain dark humor joke I have ever made because boy do I make it worse. :)
Thank you Azreal, I do hypnosis for a living and this is really really important stuff. You wouldn't BELIEVE the kinds of things people will beg me to do while completely sober and in front of me, the hypnosis community is very small, and so these people are often already used to abuse or crave it or some other type of unusual thing, or they sexualize the entire experience to the point where it's very difficult to be frank and establish boundaries and get to the root of the issue. And due to the stigma on hypnosis, not many people are willing to even listen about it a whole lot in the first place. Very sad, but I'm incredibly passionate about it.
I myself make hypnosis for money (not professional), and I can confirm this is completely accurate! I have a passion for it, but a lot of people in the community definitely overly sexualize all hypnosis. I try to twist my content so that it can help some of these people including safety features.
I'm so glad others care honestly :) It's hard to remember that we're overall very wholesome and care about our patients/clients/partners/people we put under, but not everyone's ready for it. I wish you all the best! Keep practicing, doing your thing and taking it one step at a time.
"I learned a lot of things from this video and now I know to be more alert for certain things. I also have issues with hyper-focusing on something because of my autism, so I could be playing a game or watching something on RU-vid and even forget about basic needs like needing to go to the bathroom. I also learned how much more messed up certain people can be. I had a friend on Discord who manipulated me, gaslit me for four years, threw me under the bus, and now knowing what he was probably doing to me makes me more mad at that ex-best friend. I really liked this video. It taught me useful knowledge, and I've learned so much more from your videos than I ever did in school."
I normally think of a mind more like a pc and hypnotists and other mental professionals as kind of technicians who can only really affect things as far as they have "admin privileges" or in my case trying to figure out whats broken in a horribly jury rigged scrap heap with alot of counter intuitive programming.
I remember hearing somewhere that the conscious mind often comes up with justifications for things that have already been decided by the subconscious mind, but that it feels like making a conscious decision at the moment.
from 18:00 to19:00 you can see Azeals head gradually dropping until it's fully laying on a pillow or something lol very interesting video, I learned a lot thank you
It follows similar principles. Same as "You're now aware of when you're blinking" Funnily enough yawning is also similar to hypnosis in that sense. (Specifically the part where if you see or hear another person yawn,m you will feel compelled to yawn as well)
Kinda, the calmig breath ones are pretty sure a self hypnosis technique to like calm down ad relax. Self hypnosis usually thou and in sesons its usually, limit, i will hlponly help yourelax yall.
"When you become aware of the hypnosis, it breaks the hypnosis." There is power in the process of simply not floating through an experience and passively absorbing it.
"Welcome back." "...Hiii..." XD I remember watching the previous hypnosis video...I'm uncomfortable with the concept myself, but it is fascinating to learn about!
When I heard of the “malicious side” of hypnotists I was reminded of the toy box killers. (If you’re disturbed easily I don’t recommend you look them up)
Whatever y’all do - do NOT read or listen to that audio transcript. Disturbing, disgusting, cruel, sick, inhumane. No words can describe the pure horror of it. Don’t put yourself through that. Please. I did, and I absolutely regret it.
Ahh this is sick to see! Have actually been lucky enough to meet him in vrchat and he's a pretty chill dude, it's nice to see him getting an interview like this
Wow, that session at the end. I wasn't 100% expecting it to work but by the end I was totally in that state he mentioned where you just stop focusing on everything around you
I feel like hypnosis or the idea of hypnotizing reminds me of the netflix series Freud because if I remember correctly Sigmund Freud did use hypnosis for his thesis on the unconscious mind and the mental issues of today
As someone whose tried undergoing hypnotism from professionals out of curiosity but ended up being resistant to it every time it’s always interesting hearing what other people go through and how deeply it can affect them. I honestly would like to experience it once, nothing serious just being influenced to feel a sensation that isn’t there beyond just trying hard to imagine it myself. Unfortunately it’s never worked.
I think you have a misunderstanding of how hypnosis works. Most expect something to "take over", but that's a myth if there's resistance, its to the idea of being "controlled " which I've told countless people, that's not what hypnosis is
Cool stuff...with the example session, it's basically programming, but for the human mind, which is also why it must be practiced with care. In response to what you guys had commented on with that...the demonstration didn't feel like a curse at all...it felt like I was being _blessed_ ...and that's a wonderful feeling.
Azeal, I have been watching your videos for a long time now. I love to listen to things while i play games and I still deeply remember many of the stories you have covered even from a year ago. Keep making this amazing content and stay happy
Hi Azeal! I only discovered your channel the other day, but I really enjoy the stuff you put out. I’m sorry that I can’t donate anything right but now, but keep it up!
Okay so before watching this video, I do dabble in some recreational and erotic hypnosis as a hobby and in my experience the best way to protect your brain from bad stuff is to use it. Like don't let people who you don't trust probe around in your mind, that sort of stuff. Obviously it's not that easy as with a loose enough moral codex the victim doesn't even have to be aware they're being hypnotized, but just remaining vigilant and telling people who try anything you don't like to fuck off works wonders. There is also the fact that you will subconsciously reject suggestions you are not comfortable with, but that varies from person to person and with enough time and skill can be bypassed. Then again I am super hard to actually hypnotize even if I am actively trying to be hypnotized, which on one hand sucks, because like I wanna, but on the other hand it means that even if someone puts me under, I have never been so deep that I couldn'd force myself out of the trance at any moment and you bet the second something shady starts happening I will do just that and probably start berating the person
7:55 So I have a long time sub who basically wants to be controlled by someone they trust 24/7 and have no autonomy of their own, and they have asked me for something like that 9 times and 9 times I shot them down. Not because it would be unfeasible, I think it is quite possible, given that they literally stop thinking and fall into a trance if I literally just politely ask them to, but because I simply do not trust myself with that kind of responsibility. Like I know myself and I know I can not be trusted without supervision. Also even if I DID trust myself with this responsibility, there's also the issue of them living very far away from me, so I wouldn't be physically present, which I don't know if it could be harmful to them in that scenario and I would rather not find out the hard way and evenm if that also wasn't an issue, this would in theory allow me to cross boundaries, even just by accident, and I do NOT want that. I don't even want the ability to cross boundaries, because if I do have that I could cross boundaries on accident. It was quite amusing though to hear them complain about "Why do I always get the oms with a moral compass?!" though. And also a bit concerning, so I then double-checked that they do know not to trust just any person trying/offering to hypnotize them. But yea wild stuff. Like who tf complains about the person you have entrusted yourself to being responsible and super vigilant and going to great lengths to ensure they do not hurt you?
same it took me like a week straight of trying to force myself into a trance before i could get into one and even now its still pretty difficult but if something i dont like/want starts to happen my mind will essentially shock me out of it
Not necessarily related to the video, but can anyone give me some tips on how to get into Vr Chat? Azeals videos have gave me interest, but I don’t own a VR or really have the space to use it unfortunately. Is there any way I can still play within these things? Thanks! Also hell yeah new Azeal upload
When they were talking about being invested in a form of media as a form of trance, it reminded me of minecraft. I have gotten so immersed in minecraft that I got confused when I was hungry irl, but not in-game. Like, I'm hungry, but the hunger bar is full. Or the time I turned my head irl instead of doing that in-game. Or like the time I accidentally peed my pants immediately after a gaming session, because my body just didn't tell me that I had to pee until after I was done. 'Ah I see your in the middle of something important, I'll come back latter :)' no it's really not as important as going to the bathroom, seriously.
Yo azeal... for the first time in a fat minute your video was suggested to me by RU-vid while just watching videos. Didn't have to go to your page to check for a new video it just appeared as a recommendation. I'd say it's a step in the right direction, a single recommended video isn't that big a step but it could be the algorithm possibly starting to show some forgiveness. Excites me a little anyways
Hypnosis in general just freaks me out lol. No matter the intention, good or bad, comforting or not, I always get major anxiety even THINKING about exposing myself at that level mentally. Plus, the entire process just grates on me for reasons I can’t describe. Like, the cadence in which those who are putting you under speak with makes me want to punch a wall rather than relax. That, and knowing that I’m essentially leaving the doors of my mind open makes me want to just run away That’s just me though, thought I’d share
Interesting video, I've heard of hypnosis and hypnotists, but I've never been to one. Adding to this, thanks for the info, due to some experiences I had, I'm...well, a bit paranoid, when it comes to strangers, now I can look out for some signs people are giving out that indicate that they might want to do something bad to me, thank you! Also, i should set some boundaries for myself, I once gave my number to some salesman, because he talked to me so fast and I lost control quite quickly in that conversation.
I had a dream that I kept trying to take a shower, but was continuously interrupted. So I would just be like "oh, here's the soap-wait why am I still dressed? OK let's get undressed-oh no my roommate needs to talk to me about something. OK, back to the bathroom-oh no, a knock at the door." I normally shower before bed, but that night I was lazy and decided to do it in the morning so I guess my subconscious was fixated on me still needing to shower. It's funny how the subconscious mind processes things.
i could feel my fighting instincts kick in with the hypnosis. my mind has some idea about how to fight going too deep into trances/hypnosis. i really didnt go into too much of one (relaxed a little bit), until i heard the stress melting away part. then i let myself get into it more, but keeping my internal monologue talking. my eyes didnt close until a little bit further on & the elevator i pictured, my subconscious zoomed in horror movie style and put the word dead on it and the inside was a harsh bright light. funnily enough i did go deep enough that "happy" did not sound like a word i knew and i laughed because it sounded funny (it also took me mostly out of it, because i was like wtf is this guy saying lmao) it did make me more sleepy & relaxed though. im quite obviously not invulnerable, just guarded. cant stop yawning now though. oops. really tried to get into the wide awake bit, i just failed at it as to what word i thought it was, i thought "happy" was like some roman city named "icathy"/"itchathy" or something. is ichathy a real word somewhere??? (figured out i probably thought of ichthy. why? idk. means to relate to fish. probably read it once and my mind rumaged and found a funny word to break the trance. ichathy also means chat in zulu, maybe, im not sure.)
Your little "hi" at the end was adorable, hehehe. Excellent and fascinating video as always; my thanks to you, Hypno (is that what he goes by?), and everyone else involved for making it. I wish I'd watched this one sooner!
I’ve always been scared of anything to do with the mind. I’ve had problems with not being able to tell between dreams and reality (especially when it does effect my real life), especially because I have ADHD and I have bad memory. Stuff like this terrifies me. Still fun to hear about how it works.
had to fight it for a min lol. but for anyone who wants to get into this I highly recommend looking into subject agency. think of it as your driving a car but the tist is moving the steering wheel. you have full control of the pedals so you can either hit the gas or hit the breaks. granted i fully let myself fall into trance well watching however I had the power to hit the brakes. you really want a form of trust when it comes to these things as it can be some really amazing things when done correctly. granted I'm more in the what they dub the recreational side of nsfw which does exist and is a different realm in itself. but agency still carriers over, say they want you to crash into a wall, well you may drift towards it your mind will stop you from doing anything you don't wish todo. I also like todo it with stop lights so that way im not comfy or somthing isnt going well I can just say red or red light and its a instant stop or yellow for slow down/ ease back.
I used to be really Into Erotic Hypnosis... There was this Lady that Posted Binaural Pornography, And it would cause Physical interactions and would put you into some Amazing Dreamscapes, Things that Bend Reality and Couldn't be real, but in trance it was really Cool.
Pretty interesting stuff. I decided to play along to see how the relaxation technique would affect me, and while it certainly did help, it plateaued pretty early on before he even reached the bit about the elevator. Idk if it's something to do with my ADD preventing my total focus or the fact my chair isn't super comfortable, but the fact it was working at all was pretty cool.
I figured out long ago why I don't respond to hypnosis - I don't trust anyone. Sounds worse than it is, it's simply how I'm wired. I can see how it would work on others though.
nah dude, his voice is nice- CALL ME WEIRD BUT.I WANNA GIVE HIM A HUG (maybe have him put me to sleep who knows, my insomiac bitch head wont let me sleep)
Man the last part took me right back to my time as a patient in a psychiatry where we had relaxation therapy. We did something simmilar but i can't remember the exact name of it. But i only once managed to stay awake the whole time. All the following times i fell asleep at roughly the half way point. Befor that experience i always thought that hypnosis and similar techniques are bullshit but if you just go along with it and let it happen it does work. What i found out tho is that it only works (at least for me) if you don't contiously do what you're instructed to do but instead just turn your head off and let it happen
I have a weird ability thay i once had a guy try to hypnotize me and it did not work and i did everything he said to the letter so forsome reason hypnosis doesn't work on me.
