Pretty good job! It's awesome to see young soldiers honoring the classics. I brought this idea up to my drill sergeant in 09 and he shot that shit right down.
we pulled it at a pep rally at my high school in 1981. I became very popular for orchestrating it with the student body. The administration was not quite so amused.
My high school JROTC platoon was going to do this for our Federal inspection until the Instructors realized why we were practicing the drill. I almost got in more trouble than I did for joining the Navy instead of the Army.
I think everyone in the military in the 80's knew this movie. I don't see how they wouldn't know. We used to do "do wah ditty" for a cadence all the time.
As a Brit firstly i have to say fabulous! What an excellent Movie Stripes was and what a great job each and every one of you Gentleman have done and do for your country. As for all Military Personnel in old Blighty and you our cousins across the pond I just have two words.......... Thank you......
Very commendable job, my only criticism would be those M-4's, too short to look good. Garands would've looked so much better, but I know sometimes you've gotta use what you have.
@@BoeDipsCope ....details are important....it is not the job of the reader to "translate" words that are damaged due to carelessness, incapacity or neglect. Perfection is the only acceptable standard. Get qualified, or get out. That is all.
I was stationed at Ft. Story, VA Beach with a guy who was an extra in the movie. He said Bill was always hiding with the trainers and eating with them.
Should have only heard one click as they grounded them & one boot stomping together when they popped to. "I've seen National Guard units drill better." LTC E.J. Murphy, my JROTC senior Army instructor.

Not bad! But you all forgot the part where the general asks if the platoon completed Army basic training on their own, and the platoon answers back with, "That's the facts, Jack!"
DNC= Drill and Ceremonies training for all you folks who don't know Military Acronyms. Also remember the acronym SNAFU- which is an actual word in the dictionary now, but it really means - Situation Normal- All F*cked Up
It's called special drill. It's a drill they get to perform just to show off at family day just before they graduate basic training and AIT. These kids learned this in one night after a 5 day field problem where they got 2 maybe 3 hours a sleep a night if lucky
Money will spent . awesome . there she was just walking down the street saying . you finish it. Be safe guys and gals. Thanks for your service to our country and god bless.
