@@DavidPackouz i don't know him but i can respect him for acting who he truly is versus most people who act all fake and shit because they think it's how others think they should act to be accepted and liked which is exactly how you act. living life is cool and all but you can't pay your bills with a hug. i wish my best friend from high school was more like him, instead my best friend from high school is a toolbag with kids.
Its funny how they said that Jonah Hill made Ephraim more cuddly and nice, and I don't even think Ephraim was cuddly and nice in the movie- he seemed obnoxious and rude. So does that mean the real Ephraim is a maniac?
This is a great description of what a Hollywood does. They take a true story and change the parts that are not at all entertaining and beef up parts and throw in parts to make it as exciting as possible even if at the end it’s nothing like the real story. The real character was a piece of shit but they need to make it so the audience likes him even though in real life he was not at all likable. The girlfriend has to be mad at him while in real life she was not mad at all and glad he was just making bank. Hollywood needed to romanticize them when in reality there was nothing romantic about them.
No rich guy is liked, most are respected, but ya lol I HATE rich, sociopaths. They are ALL scum bags lol and I honestly cant stand anybody who thinks people who are like that are some sort of god lol I happen to think waking up and thinking about money is for people who are MENTALLY ill and have OCD. If he didnt have OCD, lol he would be just like A NORMAL HUMAN BEING lol
Real life is slow, largely without character development. This makes for a boring story telling largely without substance. Even before written language human beings embellished story telling. How do you think tales of sea monsters and mermaids etc
Sometimes, it's all really dependant on the story, writer and director how much. Some works are actually really authentic like for example the mini-series Generarion Kill about the first convoy to go into Irak. Still most projects, yeah they don't really try to be too authentic and some things are understandable like having to pack say 3-5 people into 1 side-character so it's easier to follow what's happening because you cannot introduce a cast of 50 people. Other thing is messing around with the timeline for example, because many interesting stories doesn't really work especially in the movies 3-act structure so it's kinda neccesity. When it comes to the main-characters being totally changed I'm not a fan of making them totally a differend person, nor do I like when they invent some crazy big set-pieces that defininetly didn't happen but they just want some action and stakes. It's very cheap way of doing that, with good script and director you can make anything interesting that actually happened (even just talking). Still it was pretty clear that War Dogs was going to be a huge exaggeration and stylized version of what happened over the actual story just from the trailer. Like nothing in the movie screamed reality, just that the underlying idea would be possible.
@@kentuckybeararms oh I know he wasn't working with efraim at the time. It was 8 states away and he was working through some stuff. He was actually always in a great mood and would play music at a small coffee shop near my house on Wednesday nights. He only worked at the pizza shop a short time, my manager knew him from somewhere and gave him the job to help him get back on his feet. It wasn't til shortly after he left that he posted on FB that his story was publishing in the Rolling Stone magazine.
Its crazy to me that a lot of this did happen though im not surprised Ephraim was more insane outside his portrayal in the movie, although it still is a tad bit disappointing that the whole drama during their travel in the middle east never happened it would of been an insane thing to survive if anything, though this really does highlight just how corrupt the government is in dealing with these things that could potentially be even more fucked up that Ephraim was and most people wouldnt even know it
This movie is why I started doing the fedbizops and started contracting. I stopped. It sucks now. Don’t waste your time. Contracts aren’t like they used to be.
Being in a business and/or personal relationship with a person who has a genuine obsession, possibly even an addiction to money is one of the most taxing things ive dealt with in life😮💨
I almost bought a brewer into now the biggest IPA company in America. I was 5k under and had plenty of people who trusted me to invest I knew it was gonna take off and I couldn't buy it. I didn't want nothing to do with it. I now wash dishes and can't pay rent. No regrets
I really dont see what they did wrong/illegal...the ammo n guns they got were from albania and were there for like 35+ years and before the tienemman square incident/embargo...at what point does that become albanian ammo and not chinese i guess is the real question
because its all about money, the violence and people dying mean NOTHING to the gov, I was brainwashed patriotic at first and signed selective service asap, glad I didnt get drafted because I would never want to die for them now, but if they invade I would love to be a sniper
They did alot of forging of documents when doing the contract if I remember correctly however im almost positive that there was alot more to it then that and the ammo being chinese originally.
@@Paul-vf2wl actually your allowed to have up to when you committed a crime to obtain that money. So anything up to the afghan deal AEY was allowed to keep.
@@kevinbutton4580 He had already spent the money from his other deals working for AEY. He was on welfare after his house arrest don't but apparently he invented some kind of electronic drum or guitar pedal and is now running his own company.
Director: Ok, replicate him NOW! because if you don't t have that ability the criminal no one cares about is going to btich you didn't play him right😹 C'mon Jonah show me something😹
Come on don't be like man. It makes you sound really ignorant. Go do some research and you'll see how much "people with names like mine" added to human civilisation. Here, I'll get you started. muhammad ibn musa al-khwarizmi, with out this man there would be no computers, smartphone or algorithms for you to write your hateful little comments. Do better Allan, all humans are capable of good and bad. I'm sure your aware people with "names like yours" have more than their fair share of blood on their hands..
Tbh War Dogs was a really good movie but I still think it didn't fufill its full potential and still relied on comic relief too much. I'm pretty sure that if Todd Phillips had put as much effort to making War Dogs as he did with making Joker it would've been an oscar-worthy movie.
