@@MickeyMcNoob I would say that’s more fair but i’d argue that’s because there’s been less pressure on him in laliga seeing as his team had already basically won the title and it was the first time he’s been in the champions league with an expectation of actually winning it all which is a lot of pressure for a 20 year old in his first season at a club.

No, it's not a joke. Someone can be rated and overrated at the same time. Tom is saying that yes, he rates him, he is a fantastic player, but people are talking about him already as one of the best of all time and for that, he's overrated.

Unlike Tom, I'm in a fortuitous position where I have time to watch more football in different leagues rather than just the Championship & occasional prem/ Champs league. Jude has been one of the best performing midfielders this year, the only English one who has been better over the whole season is Palmer

Yall don’t see Bellingham the way he has to be seen. He’s not the guy that needs to score or assist and make the difference that way for Madrid. So if you rate him purely on that, yes he’s underwhelming. But he’s not that type of player, and never has been (apart from 1st half of the season, where vini was injured, Rodrygo in a bad form, so when he needed to have high g/a)(It’s ridiculous when he got instructed to be a goalscorer and playmaker (in the first half of the season) that he did it that good, for a 20 year old, that had never done that before.). No he’s also not as technically gifted as foden/ Musiala/ Wirtz. But he’s never been. He’s the best box to box there is, and that’s how he should be rated, and that’s when you can really appreciate his performance in the ucl and overall this season.

It’s because Ancelotti is playing him differently than previous years. He got big off his midfield ability. He played holding midfielder and didn’t get many G/A but now that he’s seen as a shadow striker he’s seen as bad if he doesn’t score. He’s a great player he just needs time to adjust to a new role but there’s more to him than offense
