#1: Emery cloth the O.D. of the lead & clean it before you silicone. AMATEUR. #2: You didn’t put a copper sleeve inside the lead to prevent crushing the lead w/the Mission. AMATEUR. #3: You should have put a PVC or brass M.I.P. adaptor into that tap TEE. That galvanized M.I.P. adaptor will rust closed. AMATEUR. As a 3RD generation STL repair plumber who SOLELY works in OLDDDD homes that is an AMATEUR repair. If a St. Louis plumbing inspector were to see how you did this you’d fail the inspection.
