Based on the text of Psalm 46 and written specifically for the 2019 LCMS Youth Gathering, the song "Real. Present. God." will be sung each night at Mass Event. Countryman and Madden, who co-wrote the theme song for the 2016 gathering "Christ Alone", teamed up again to compose a song that would define this event and encapsulate it in the memories of those participating in the Gathering in July. It was recorded at Orchestrate Sound in Houston, TX and several of the Gathering house band members took part in the song coming to life.
