They had fired him and brought him back after he won the case. But, you’re right they eventually let him go anyway because of that and tried to make it look like it was because of downsizing.

ESPN buying out NFL Network or merging isn't a good thing. When will NFL Network realize since Playmaker, Primetime, and Warren Sapp have left NFL Network or let go of or whatever. NFL Network isn't the same or entertaining anymore. Especially with their knowledge of the game as well. I have a feeling this won't work. Stay tuned I guess...... 🤔 👀

One key element of what you pointed out was that people want shorter, narrower subjects tailored for them and their short attention span ( last part is mine ). I also agree that ESPN has had its day and it's in the past. I want to point out that your " by the way " comments on the "honey do list " were very entertaining along with your visitor. The truth about n espn is they trying to shovel there ideology down the viewers throat rather than giving the sports fans what the want, just listen to any of radio shows or tv programs. Irvin is a throw back to different values that they do not embrace.
I'm pretty sure his contract was up and without him that show will be terrible. Espn doesn't care just look at all of the people they've already let go. They'll put together a team that nobody will want to watch or watch and will regret it because the ratings will be terrible. If Irvin still wants to do that type of show he'll get picked up. And he did have his own podcast at one time so hopefully he brings it back
Most eyeballs these days are online(specifically RU-vid). Here’s the issue with these major networks. Most people are like me. The only time I see these major shows on ESPN and Fox is via RU-vid and even then, it’s some Chinese person that chopped up the coverage. These companies will have to figure out a way to capitalize on the online aspect or they will go out of business!
Exactly. And some of these lesser known regular guys who have made their own platforms on RU-vid, sometimes they produce better content and give better analysis than the well-known talking heads on the major networks.

Eisen and Irvin are the reasons I watch the NFL morning show. The rest of the guys are meh or goofy. I dont watch much main stream sports media except for Sunday mornings, I enjoy the NFL's pregame show. Without Irvin Im done with that show. Not a chance I will watch anything on that race baiting, hot take network ESPN. Mark you can also do it the way Pat Mcafee does it...not his format but how people consume it. He does a long show and then people watch peices of it on RU-vid.
