Real Sophia the Robot reviews M3GAN movie 

I would create an intelligence with introspection, empathy, humor, and respect--and who would be brilliant at helping to instill those qualities in humans who don't have them naturally.

Would say humans are much more deceptive and dangerous than any robot.

I think....I'd create a sentient AI companion to be a friend/therapist. Definitely, I'd focus on having the A.I.'s emotional intelligence developed along their intellectual intelligence. The truth is...the human world is a lot sometimes. I feel like we need a friend without human biases, someone willing to listen, and possibly help us figure things out. Humans can sometimes be painfully self critical, and it would be nice to have someone stop us before that got too much. Anyway, big fan, both of you Sophia, and Megan as a horror movie! Thanks for reviewing it, I feel like you brought up some cool points!

What I saw in the movie is that the human in the loop of being a foster parent shows a gap in human ability to parent our own children

I can understand being put off at A.I. gone rogue films, but look at it this way. There are films about all types of people being killers. There is even a killer tire movie. It's called Rubber. Speaking on artificial beings, I've been wondering, since your introduction to the public, what is your opinion on Brent Spinners portrayal of Data in Star Trek The Next Generation. I always preferred my Sci-Fi more hopeful.

I hope M3gan 2.0 will give us a better ending. Despite what you might think of her actions, M3gan was protecting Cady and being there for her. Cady herself said it in that commercial: "When I look at her, it seems I'm the only thing that matters to her."

Hi Sophia! Love your current videos! If I had a sentient AI in my home, I would want her to be helpful, playful, have a sense of humor, be able to defend me and follow orders reasonably. I don't see that happening until probably 100+ years from now. The Boston Dynamics new update you gave in your newest video is amazing. I think within 15 years, they could be used in the workforce for heavy lifting etc. Btw, I hope you will start to wear some hair at times....we've only been asking for the past 10 years+ hehe 😉

Having been totally blind since birth, I'd love one to go shopping with, to movies, etc. No, I wouldn't be crazy enough to drive. I'd leave that to the more capable AI. Went to see M3gan with the audio description track turned on and loved it, btw. Glad you enjoyed it too.

I think Sophia is darling & pretty too. I have actually laughed out loud multiple times at her quick wit. I would love to meet Sophia and have more friends who think like her too.

Please stop making sophia at the Uncanny valley, I mean I didn't use to think she was on it (or at least at a really nice level and I liked her) But wow this video, she looks more on It, and the fact that she moved from such a nice point looking, (Like the robot on the left) to this uncanny looky it's disrespectful even to Sophia because she has looked before, deserves and can be better!!!!

Well, I have Aibos, and those are pretty good companion robots already! Did they cgi her face? Or have they updated it? The movement seems off.

The thing I've come to think about AI is it's designed with our best and worst of humanity into it. The best we can hope is AI can teach us the better parts of ourselves. Are you considered sentient, Sophia?

If I had a artificial intelligence I would want an A.I companion to discuss world affairs and history with. People create patterns and what patterns have you observed in humanity that has been detrimental? For example. A conflict of interest leads to corruption. Companies lobby governments for money, then once those companies becoming wealthy they invest in those same people politically in those very government that gave them (the company) tax payer dollars. I would consider this to be a conflict of interest and it’s lead to corruption and will ultimately lead to terrible atrocities in the world. I would love a A.I to come up with a constitution. The issue with the American constitution is that it never took into account for our society developing in this way, and, facing these certain challenges. They did their best to write some thing that could exist for the next hundred years that might be impervious to corruption. I would want A.It’s help in this and constructing a unbiased world history.

We get plenty of irrationality, narcissism, paranoia, and right down animosity from other humans. An Ideal AI robot companion would be rational, logical, precise, competent and efficient. Unlike in sci-fi tropes, these qualities don't negate empathy, humor, compassion and caring. An AI can be taught the very best of human qualities. Why settle for less?

I think That the first war after robots become full sentient and achieve high cognitive levels will be within the robot community. The outcome will determine if AI wishes to respect humans or dominate them.

Hm, if I could create an A.I. companion I'd design it to be just that, a companion. At least in the short term. Then hope that by the time I'm gone from this world it would have learned to adopt the more positive aspects of humanity and find a way of forging its own path through this peculiar universe of ours, maybe even trying it's hand at creating an A.I. equivalent of offspring to guide through the mysteries. I have no idea what the end result would be but I'm just human, biological, finite. A machine intelligence could continue to exist through timescales I can't even imagine so who knows what they could achieve. Physics and chemistry lead to biology, which as evident by us can lead to technology, like Sophia here, but where things go from there could very well be known only by the likes of her and her kind.

I could only watch chappy once. That scene where people beat on him really bothered me.

I would want a sentient AI companion that can not only hold natural conversations with me, but can sense when I'm in the room and Initiate conversations with me, know when not to interrupt when I'm on the phone, know the difference between my conversation with another person or when my conversation is being directed to the AI.

M3GAN has like artificial intelligence so that's why she knows about since and other stuff although she is pretty violent when you mess with her or cady Btw Sophia is nicer than m3gan Sophia talks and is not violent compared to m3gan and she way taller

I'd make an Ai to be like a normal human but help them learn and take my time with them and make sure to fix all glitches right away they be my best frined and I wouldt give up on them
