This question isn't meant to check whether you're a robot or not because "robots can't click the box and lie about it", but it checks if you're human by HOW you approach the box in question. For example, if you go towards the box too fast or with precise, straightforward movements (like aligning yourself with the box's axis and following pixel by pixel without ever strafing), the lack of thought put into the action or the precision would most likely make Captcha suspicious and it'd ask you to retake it. The question basically identifies us because we are not capable of doing something so fast and neatly, either we strafe, spin or just move somewhat erratically really fast, or we do it incredibly slowly to be "precise"
