It's a great foundation in acoustics and studio design / building. He's super thorough. Anyone who reads that book will be saved from making so many mistakes that are otherwise easy to make.
I miss the good old days on the RU-vid watching soundproofing videos and randomly coming across with a 12yo kid being about to "teach" us how to "soundproof" our rooms by hanging a couple of egg cartons on the wall. 😂 Great video as always!! As I learn more about the physics of sound and how it behaves in real life cases, I realize that companies only want to sell their products that aren't even capable of what the sellers claim. Thanks for channels like yours on YT, theoretically, I should have saved a lot of money over the years by not spending a fortune on false advertised products. PS: Idk if you're aware of, your lights in the background seem to have a slight flickering. Maybe tweak your camera's shutter speed to match the frequency of 50/60Hz depending on your region. If that doesn't fix, it could be PSU or dimmer related issue. Hope, you figure out something about it. 😉 Have a blessed day!!
Thanks for the comment. Glad you learned something and I’m stoked you’re enjoying these topics. Regarding flickering I’m def aware and I’ve tested and optimized the shutter to the best possible setting. This is as good as it gets. I think I need a different PSU to run the rig unfortunately.
Commercial would imply I have something to sell. In fact, I'm trying to "unsell" the concept of soundproofing. Maybe you mean I'm trying to sell the book? In which case, go buy it. It's amazing!
