This is deep for me until I can’t even watch the whole video because I was born I was born & raised in these apartments from the late 1970’s to the 1980’s.. They changed the name of them, But they still say Kelly & that’s good, but they should have never changed the name or painted them because they’re so historical. The original name is the Kelly Court apartments. I can tell you so much about this place. It was also nice to see the corner store is still there like back in the day. It still looks the same. Omg let me get off of here right quick.. These memories are deep

That’s crazy fam!! I use to live at Kelly Courts back in 2002 to 2004. And this is the main store I would go to. I was probably the only Mexican there with grandma mom and siblings cause we was in section 8 housing. The blacks there were always cool as fk even tho was the only Mexicans. The blacks never saw us different they treated us cool. it was bad at night shyt constables sherriffs HpD all be outside posted up doing raids and shyt. And if anyone was there in 2002 when some of Kelly courts apartments were burned near the freeway that was me and some of my black homies always getting into kid troubles lol.
It's crazy how we live in the hood. Like when will we take care of our community... I feel like we have to outgrow being destructive in our communities. It's sad. I remember glorifying the hood on some.... niggas is real out here type shit. Like the more wild and crazy we were and the more drugs we sold and fear we implemented the more glorified... until I wisened up and was like🧐😳..... like wow we really had our priorities all fucked up. Sad it still happens. We destroy ourselves🤦🏾... we live like savages in the hood and it's almost like we've normalized it all while knowing it's not the way to be.... we gotta evolve man
