I used to live in Austin, and got a job in Houston; I thought Houston is like the worst place to live in, so I commuted daily between Austin and Houston. Then due to my job I had to move to New Orleans; at this point Houston looked like disneyland. Moral of the story, things can always get worse.
@@TheloniousJacksoni go to school near where he’s filming and i’d say right past those apartments at 1:07 is arguably paradise in comparison to what’s being shown in the video
Every State/City has good and bad but I didn't think Houston looked forgotten and that neglected. Thank God for the good people who are still there trying to make things better 🙏💯 A good neighbor means a lot (seriously). Y'all keep holding on like the rest of us..... everybody has challenges. I used to live in the Brooklyn NY housing projects for 28.5 years and things can really change with prayers and hard work 🙏💯 I speak from experience.
What day of the week is this? Everyone I see is standing around doing nothing. I see a lot of expensive cars: Mercedes, Cadillac, monster pickup trucks. I work every day and don't have any of those.
3:01 those boarded up houses to the right are set for redevelopment Third ward was 75k familys in the 1990's today would population less than 2k familys- everyone moved southwest or pearland
@randyb230 property values ×ten = super high property taxes and alot of residents wanted to sell and move to the suburbs - i remember in 1990 u could have bought a wood house on blocks on 2500sf of land for 500$ to 750$ cash at tax sale
I don't know why you say the most dangerous streets in Houston, Texas unless you post the crime statistics. I didn't see any dangerous activities just by driving around those neighborhoods, but what I did see is the negative impact caused by hurricanes and flooding. Really shameful that the USA is providing more aid to foreign nations and illegal aliens coming on our soil and yet citizens get kicked to the curb!
One of my homeboys from this area in Houston .. the people there nice as hell.. they only become a problem when you on some acting hard or some flexing shit
@@gonbeebig948he sun is still out 😂 I had a few riders in this area when I briefly drove Lyft years back and it’s awful. Not just low income I mean smokin that loud Floyd pack crazy it’s actually gentrifying though so buying land or one of these run down homes selling like hot cakes for when the condo buildings go up,
I don’t understand the sitting around on the sidewalk in groups of people just doing nothing. Do people not have jobs to be at? I seriously don’t understand what they do all day. Do they just sit around and walk the streets all day and night?
@@user-wp5pc1nh1x you’re right. That’s true. But, I see it in every video, regardless of time of day. People just sitting there, doing nothing. I prefer to hang out in my home 🤷🏼♂️
if there's one thing special about my city its that everybody got some kinda business legit or not. we have a strong car culture here so when you get any kinda money its not going to clothes or anything its going to your car. it also helps that the cost of living is very cheap here even in the pretty nice neighborhoods
Ok if u thank dat ask the city of Houston what hood is the most dangerous n really have been for years they gne say 3rdward is 1 n if not fact the most real humble stick together but most dangerous hood in Houston ask anybody!!!Facts I stamped dat
Is it really that lame out there, guys? Not downtown or the upscale neighborhoods, but where the regular people live? No, really, I always took the phrase "the decaying West" as some kind of literary hyperbole, but it's really fucked up....
It is not😂😂 well I mean almost but not. We are still worse. Greetings from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Less dangerous but still looking like war zone some places😂😂this hood seems decent. Looking from outside. You need to come to see some of our rivers in Bosnia you would be amazed😂. Things you see in these streets are in our rivers. Like trash, furniture, motors etc. Not to mention nearby roads.😂😂😂.
Houston hasn’t had a Republican mayor since 1981. That was also the year when the murder rate was the highest ever at 701 people killed. That Republican mayor spent all his time on “official” trips to Las Vegas.
They chose to live like this instead of getting a job and doing good for people. They live with mommy , slug dope and give momma money, is that any way to live??
Tiresome Republikkkan right wing tropes you are repeating like Bush Sr and Dukakis. No Democrats or left wingers are soft on crime. They just want the justice system to be fair and go after criminals of all races equally.
so I'm white and when I was a kid my family stayed around Alief which is another neighborhood and out there it was pretty diverse on my street there were more Hispanic families but I remember there were lots of different people out there you could go out and see a taqueria, an African grocery store, lots of Chinese restaurants, all that. I would say in my experience down here it don't really matter where your from or what you look like it aint too divided like it seems in other cities like Chicago or New York and all that
A few busloads of migrants will change the atmosphere of these streets Empty buildings can be taco stands liquor stores weed dispensarys And everyone can speak Spanish 😂
You can't raise an IQ65 population out of poverty, otherwise dolphins would all be billionaires... The Left have "tried" for decades in their cities and all have failed miserably, lol
