The box looks much better pushed back but as you mentioned it will look even better over the engine. How about placing the fog lights on the front hood similar to the Porsche rally style lights on the 911. Just a thought! Thanks for the great videos keep them coming!

I'd go with a curved single row LED bar on the hood at the base of the windshield . Not only would it be low profile & look amazing. But, you can tuck the wire under the hood with ease vs trying to route it from the roof. You would also avoid the glare on the windshield that comes with roof mounts.

Dude. I love the skibox. Your video about winterizing your Huracan has me thinking about doing the same thing to my 613rwhp C5 and driving it year round here in Ottawa. Sorry I missed you guys when you were here. There's some amazing scenery around here in the winter. Since I'm still very early on with my vlog, this could be a really cool concept for my channel. Here’s a little story (I’m a new subscriber): I’ve seen a few videos of yours a while back before I was a subscriber, and was at the rally meet that happened this summer as Spoonful in Brampton, Ontario. Love the fabrication idea and i def think you should wrap the box too. Maybe a negative version of the wrap on there with the tricolore DDE on top? The yellow fogs in the bumper would look so mean too

For fog lights a great option would be Morimoto XB LED projector fog lights. I have a set and they're super nice, so since they're a projector and not just a bulb in a housing, they don't flood the light all in front of you like a head light, they actually project the light out and have a "cutoff line" so that it's not like an explosion of light in front of you, the light is low and projects out pretty far, and they're really bright. I'm not sure if you have more of that yellow film that you put on your headlights or not, but if you don't there's actually some places that sell the yellow protective film with the fog lights

tubular cf frame for the roof box and brush bar with fogs, and a “winter splitter” with undercariage skid plate, winter cf wheels would be cool also, and a new wrap, black with white pattern

Go for the bush bar and light bar on top. Would be interesting to find out how these things handle high speeds... and how to mount them. You should take a look at how jon olsson did his ski box too... pretty neat

To be honest I preferred position #1 the first time you showed it, but when it got mounted I wasn't really a fan any more. But with the new position of it pushed back 4-5 inches, I think it looks worlds better. No fab, different, more practical and cool looking as it doesn't cover the engine bay. Also the fog lights idea is dope!!

I have a real question, I would like to use sea suckers on a 2017 ford gt supercar to support a hard shell roof top tent. I see you had to have custom brackets made for the ski box and realised it's not too much different from a hard shell roof top tent. Can you point me in the right direction as to a shop that can make brackets for the sea suckers to support a hard shell roof top tent?

Idk if you've seen Jon Olsson's Huracan with the ski box, but those fabricated mounts are so sick!! And I prefer the suction cup mounts over the strap that he used to fasten the front of his down! Just my thoughts, absolutely love the Huracan, keep it up!

take a look at KC Flex LEDS.. love the look of them and the ability to pair them up and make a led bar. Have a few of those in the bumper with yellow tints as fogs, then make a Flex bar for the top of the windshield. Or even mount them to the ski box. Maybe on the underside to keep a streamline look.. OR another idea... have someone make a custom carbon fiber housing for the front of the hood/frunk that will hold multiple 5-7 inch round lights, similar to that on a rally car

@dailydrivenexotics I don't mind this further back stage 1 placement of the ski box but the far back #2 would be much better. I think having mounts in Position #2 would add safety being that it wouldn't have so much lift being further back as well as two aft mounts that are more secure than just the vinyl suction cups. Also hope you wrap the box as well!!! Keep up the vlogs. Always good content.

Not sure how a light bar would look mounted unless it was under the ski box, but a bull bar with yellow PIAA lights would be sick! Plus that gorgeous splitter/bumper could use protection- I've seen hard packed snow do a number on plastic bumpers

Either a lightbar behind the grill or implement a bush bar ( sort of ) in or on the front of the ski box... However, make the box sit as far back as you can, it gets lower/ more accessible....but would be cool with a light bar on it ;)

DAMON! Dude you're doing an AWESOME job! Keep up the great work! Opinion time: Ski Box - Do the fabrication and dump it to the back J-Straddy style, and I would like to second the suggestion of "Stance World" in laser cutting DDE into the brace. Lights: I like the idea of the light bar, but if fog is your main opponent then you dont want the light to be above you on the roof. How about a 24-36" light bar very low on the front bumper flanked by the PIA yellows on either side? I think it would tie in the modern LED bright whites with the Rally-style PIA yellows and provide both function and a very cool look! and hell, you can never have too many lights!

Fog lights. Light bars don’t do shit in the fog/mist except for light up the whole area around you and make it even harder to see

Definitely do a full length LED light bar. Get rid of the yellow headlight covers (not a huge fan of them) and do fog lights below (Your call if you want those in yellow for functionally) Bush bar might be a bit much. Wicked idea though but if you do it right, I don't see how it could hated.

D I love the box. The location would look better moved back a lil more but whatever way u mount it love it. And what I HOPE U BUILD a push bar with 4 mini led lights & a curved roof mounted led bar WOULD LOOK SAVAGE AF!!! & what about a rear or side bars as well???? Well I have 2suggestions for the car, first wrap the box in same design as your car. Second do the light bar for sure , other than these suggestion the car is perfect and will keep getting better I'm sure. I like the idea of the brush guard if you can make it look like the photo.
