Agreed but not everyone is willing to drop 200+ dollars on a knife yet let them buy cheap to see if they like the style of knife and if the like it they’ll save for the 200+ dollar knife

And while it may be true that clones will get people interested, there’s also the fact that shady people try to pass clones off as authentic. People get scammed for full cost because they don’t know better. When people buy clones they give the ripoff company their money vs the company that put all thehard work and R&D into the design. I’d rather give my money to the people that came up with a design rather than the people that stole it. If someone thinks a clone is an authentic knife, and the clone is a POS, it could steer the owner away from the brand also. Clones are just trash anyways.

Every one know is buy a fake knife. When send to repair they are trying to receive back a original one. I love your knives Guys but will never give so much money to buy a real one, i live in Brazil, here it will cost one month incoming. Dont forget the people know what is buy on china sites.

What’s brands do you like? I loved spyderco for a long time, but their prices have been outrageous lately. Same with benchmade.

@@chewbama6285 I actually really like Microtech. I think they have loosened up on disassembling your knife (they offer toolsets now) and sharpening your blade. You are looking at ~$150 for a blade replacement on a Combat Troodon for instance. Cheaper on Ultratech and UTX series. Couple guys left Microtech and started up Guardian Tactical. Amazing action and Elmax blades are $70, which is cool. I used to love Benchmade (still have a lot and am buying more EX: mini Adams, s90v Bugout, etc in the next couple weeks), but they went from $35 blade replacements to a percentage of the price of the knife. Which ends up being insane (EX: $90 for a s30v Bugout blade on a $130 knife!). Don't get me started on their quality control and inconsistent grinds on each side of the blade. The blade centering is a big one people complain about, and I get it...it's oversight. But, you can easily adjust the pivot screw to bring it to center. ZT used to be $20 for blade replacements, but as of last month they are now $40. Still very reasonable to me. I pay the premium up front for service and peace of mind that if I break a blade (however unlikely) or after sharpening, I can get a new blade or parts. TL;DR - They all have pros and cons. Need to weigh out what you are willing to pay, after sale support/warranty, what service you expect, the style of the knife and the application you are using it for (EDC, defense, hunting, fidgeting, etc.). PS, MAP prices for everything are likely increasing this year. I try to offset by buying from places that don't charge sales tax. Check out Northern Knives for a good selection and are a Microtech dealer as well. Plus, they take trades and offer crazy good trade-in values. Ask for Alistair and tell him Aaron sent. you :)

@@Aaron-lx3gz So, did you buy a UTX-85 back again now? ha. I was looking at the new Benchmade Shootout since I liked the HK Turmoil, but decided to go with MT and order an Ultratech. Hope I like it.

@@silverapple2011 You'll love it. UTX-85 is 85% of the size of the Ultratech. I find the UTX-85 too small for my liking, and I don't even have big hands. Sorry ladies. :( I am currently rocking an Ultratech and a Dirac Delta. I love the action on it better than my Combat Troodon, which I sold. And its $150 cheaper!

Hey I'm just going to take a guess and say you didn't get it from Blade HQ... I avoid them at all cost they are so so sorry and take forever always the last to get anything in stock.. If you did get it at Blade HQ because it came in there first it's a one in a million

oh yeah unless you want it to be fake. Blade HQ is a reputable knife company i have bought couple Microtech knives from them in the past, they are an authorized Microtech dealer seller. When you buy a knife from any company do the research make sure they are an authorized dealer on the knife brand name their selling.

Since they are counterfeit, they have to keep them because they're basically illegal. They then destroy them, or whatever.

@@silverapple2011 no, that's not the company's property, It's yours. They can remove the licensed markings but they can't just destroy your property because it's a close imitation of their product

You have to pay for them to ship it back to you, I think $35, which is more than the knife is worth, so people just let them keep it.

Maxace medusa 2 Ia way better then this it has a m390 blade Less blade play then microtech and better aluminum for the body and titanium inlays or zirconium or timascuss and it costs 300 bucks
