Real vs Fake Mikuni Carburetor 

man to be hoest I have tested both and the fake one is almost identicle for anyone else I wouldn't recommend spending your money on a real one.

If you used the new “cheap” intake manifold it makes it front facing and the real mikuni would fit perfectly. I had the same kit the cheap one you bought and then big bore and cam on mine then had to upgrade to the VM26-606 genuine mikuni carb and it still fits perfect! Just a suggestion.

Good thing I look at this before buying almost bought a $140 fake one like your off ebay but after watching this video I keep looking back and forth then found out It fake so I returned it

real mikuni has mukuni corp writting on it and made in japan all the carbs u have are fake

Anyone put the knock of mikuni on a two Tao tforce 110 I got it for mine haven’t put it on yet

I just got the carbhub knockoff last week and the bog was the same as the stock at first and would even cut off after warm up. They put a 95 main jet in both the stock and carbhub knockoff however the stock had no adjustable needle. The carbhub I went rich first to be safe by raisning the needle or going one clip lower and made it worse, dropped the needle by going one clip up and it brought first and second gear alive with air screw adjustments but still sounded hollow on WOT. I’m at 900 elevation and got the wingsmoto Mikuni main jet kit on amazon and dropped the 110 in yesterday and 105 after and the spark plugs coming out perfect now. Love your DB17 vids wish I had the types of terrains you have. Wanted to ask what your export settings for RU-vid were as I’ve been playing around and can’t get it right in premiere with the default.

I just ordered a Japanese mikuni off go power sports and seen that they have 2 options one was Chinese and the other was Japanese and it said the Japanese one was the better/best so I got that one. Ive never used or seen one before but from the videos I've been watching it looks badass. And I love how it cleans up the throttle assembly.

have you seen Nibbi carbs? I saw a guy had one on his SSR 125. Dont really know how Nibbi stacks up against Mikuni, but ive been thinking about grabbbing a nibbin for my db17. You should check them out if you havent already, looks quality.

i have the knockoff for my pitbike, but it works well. they where out of stock on the real one so i just bought the knockoff. but i also tried it on my gokart and it didnt work at all. so it just depends i think. im thinking of upgrading soon maybe

Ok I watched the first minute of your video and stopped to reply. These clone carbs are made buy different vendors!! Do not judge all clone carbs as the same. My clone mikuni is the same weight and as far as it looks and functions is just as good as the mikuni carb. Had it on my bike 2 yrs. No issues at all!

Theres swivel manifolds and 360 manifold adapter plates.

They look completely different man... this doesn't help at all.

I have the knockoff mikuni for my db17 it take for ever to start cold and when I leave the choke on for to long it idle to high and I tried to adjust it didn't seem to work and when I turn the choke off I have to be on the gas for it to say on and if I'm not on the gas it just dies

dunno if you've ever heard of this bike but i have a baja dirt runner 125 i think its a honda clone but the stock carb is arse and i wanted to buy a real Mikuni carb for it and was wondering where the real ones are

My mikuni comes with a spacer that sits it what looks like an inch and a half away.
