There are two reasons why vegans comprise a fraction of one percent of the population: The main reason is due to humans’ failure to care about what they put into their own bodies - as long as it tastes good, who gives a damn about the consequences to one’s own health or the ethical concerns regarding other creatures or the environment? The other reason is due to vegan advocates and animal rights activists being inept in their understanding of morality as well as their abysmal grasp of human physiology. Almost every single vegan activist I know of wrongly believes that we are omnivores, and they are clueless in respect to metaethics and applied ethics. But that is not the most unfortunate thing about the matter. The saddest thing is that there is hardly a single vegan activist even willing to spend an hour or so to learn proper diet and meta-ethics with the World Teacher Himself, Jagadguru Svāmī Vegānanda, despite him freely offering to do so on his social media platforms. 😩
Dear Arvind, there are a lot of vegan bodybuilders that don't take steroids like Nimai Delgado for example. Also female bodybuilder like Jehina Malik. And lots of lots vegan sports people. Look it up and show that to the critical people. Thanks a lot for your beautiful work educating people on veganism ❤
@@sidpradi think even your grandchildren would think that my grandpa was waiting for a girl to become a nonvegan till he died but the girl was crystal clear about the fact that she won't pay for anything that comes from cruelty to the extent she can and she will never change the best decision she made and shes sad that why didn't she take this decision earlier..got that!
@@biketouringashish human use to eat meat and fruits back then, early human use to hunt and eat fruits, before the discovery of fat, carb, protein and fibres. And read little bit of evolution, you will know what cause human brain to grow bigger.
One more thing, taking away a child from his parents(human or animal) causes a lot of trauma on the contrary a plant uses different strategies to make sure his fruit is taken away. Plants have evolved various strategies to entice animals to eat their fruit, which helps in seed dispersal. Here are some common methods: 1. Color and Attraction: Fruits are often brightly colored to catch the attention of animals. Red, orange, and yellow are common fruit colors that stand out in natural surroundings. 2. Sweetness: Many fruits are sweet due to the presence of sugars, which appeal to animals' taste buds. 3. Aroma: Fruits emit enticing scents that animals can detect from a distance, attracting them to the source. 4. Nutrient Reward: Fruits often contain essential nutrients and vitamins that are beneficial to animals. 5. Soft Texture: The soft and fleshy texture of fruits is more appealing to animals than hard, unripe fruits. 6. Seed Protection: Some plants have evolved seeds with hard shells or pits that are indigestible for animals, ensuring the seeds are eventually dispersed away from the parent plant. 7. Symbiotic Relationships: Some plants form mutually beneficial relationships with specific animals, like birds or mammals, that become their primary seed dispersers. 8. Timing: Fruit ripening is often synchronized with the availability of animals that can disperse seeds, ensuring the fruit is eaten when the seeds are ready for dispersal. These adaptations help plants ensure their seeds are spread to new locations, increasing their of chances survival and reproduction.
@@parthpatidar976, I’m not sure of the reason why you mentioned food/diet. The term "VEGAN" refers to the philosophy of avoiding undue harm to any animal life, as far as practical, whilst "vegetarian" is merely someone who consumes a plant-based diet. Therefore, veganism is NOT a diet but a moral or ethical position against animal exploitation of any kind. 🌱
I went Vegan, 2.5 years ago, i lost weight, gained muscle, improved Stamina. I couldn't do a single pushup, now i can do 100 within 4 mins Veganism changed everthing for me
Thank you Aravind for this lecture!! I suggest you to also include Shaolin Monks who are very disciplined completely vegan and can beat up 5+ meat bodybuilders!! If these people really want insane strength then show them Shaolin monks...
One thing i want to add to this video is that a natural physique can look better. This video comes off in a way that natural people who works out don't get any muscle. You'll get muscles but not to the extreme extend. You can definitely build a lean aesthetic physique whether you follow a vegetarian, non-veg or purely vegan. It doesn't really matter cause that end of the day its calories in vs calories out. If you're eating at a slight surplus with 0.8 grams of protein per pound of your bodyweight and resistance train 3-4x per week, you'll gain muscle and strength. Simple as that.
Rice or wheat and some of the pulses DOESN’T have all the essential amino acids to make it a complete source of protein. Yes, human doesn’t need animal sources as some vegan food does have all the essential amino acids to form a complete source of protein but then it’s way easier and convenient to complete one’s protein goals consuming animal products than being vegan. Now you should agree to this !
When you mix rice or wheat with another source of protein such as lentils or chickpeas, it creates a complete protein so its very easy to eat complete proteins. Also vegan items like soy (tofu) are complete proteins as well. So its still very easy to meet all your protein needs. Why cause an animal like pig, cow, or chicken to cause suffer horrible lives for protein when you can still get it easily without? Why pay some to confine them in cages where they can barely move or turn around and then brutally kill them?
@@JayJay-nb1svdo you even know 100 gram cooked cheakpea has only 6 gram protein. To complete my protein intake I will have to eat 1 kg cooked cheakpeas daily with some dry fruits and rice . Not even taking about the calories.
@@JayJay-nb1svbro that’s for uncooked 100g . Cooked cheakpeas have only 6 to 7 gm protein . Also this is true for every millet . Vegans don’t have a proper lean protein source except soy . Get your facts right.
Also , there are plenty of vegan bodybuilders who are natty and look amazing. Brian Turner is one of them. You don't need to murder baby animals to get muscular. Imagine thinking paying other men to murder baby animals on your behalf is manly.( Btw I didn't come up with the last line)
No one said vegans can't look muscular. It is more convenient to eat meat for building muscle due to good protein quality. There's no harm in killing animals for eating them. Sure, raising them in an enclosed space and injecting steroids and whatnot is cruel, but raising them ethically and killing them doesn't matter. Will you stop carnivores from killing other animals? They will eat meat. Do you know what hunter-gatherers did? They hunted animals and ate them along with gathering plants for eating. Both are having a life, but it isn't wrong to kill them.
@@dynaspinner64 You're talking out of your ass. There is no visible difference in the muscle mass of a vegan or meat eater if the protein you're consuming is equalised.
@@dynaspinner64 sure there maybe no harm to you if you kill and eat them. However there is harm done to the animals. Just like if you kill a human, tou didn't really harm yourself. You harmed the animals. Will I stop carnivores? That's a stupid question. Carnivores lack moral agency. We don't decide on what is and isn't moral for us to do based on what wild animals do. If that were the case, rape and murder would have been acceptable in our society .
@@dynaspinner64 Plants are alive not sentient . So that claim is bullshit. And more plants are fed to animals anyways. So of you want less plants to be killed, go vegan
@@bauabh We won't harm humans because we have dignity. Animals don't share the same value as we do. It really doesn't matter to kill animals for our good. Also, I never said we have to base morality on what wild animals do. I just said they kill other animals as well. Plants have lives too but we kill them. Isn't that harming? Why don't we all eat nothing then? God has permitted us to kill and eat animals and plants, it isn't morally wrong. Torturing isn't moral.
Amazing content sir. Just wanted to ask you something. There is one of my brother who was saying that I cant get a veg meal having 1500 calories and 130gms of protein that is possible only in case non beg diet. His point was if I take veg meal then along eith protein I will grt many carbs and they will bring me more and more calories. So, how we can tackle this?
Kya karoge body bana ke jab sadak me utarna hi nahi hai jaanwaro ki suraksha ke liye 🤭 Swarthi maanus 🤣 taqat bhi kisi masoom ko bachane me na laga sakte ho 😂
Arvind isn't well aware about how people get muscular. There are also people who are muscular but still natural and they consume meat for lean protein which vegan foods don't have. Don't include Soya chunks here since it has some effects on hormones when taken in body building style quantity.
Aur wo bodybuilding choohe hi tarah bill me chupe hai, unko jaanwaro ke liye kuch nahi karna hai body banai lekin kaam na aai 🤭 itni strength jaanwaro ko bachane ke liye na dikhayenge 🤣🤣 Aak thoo aisi body par jo jaanwaro par hinsa rokne ke kaam na aaye 🤭🤭
Bro at 1:16 even though the things u have shown has protein but they have high amount of carbs so they would be most of them is to be considered carbohydrates...
According to MyFitnessPal you have to consume 7 rotis to get 26.7 g of protein. That would mean 910 calories from rotis. Lentils and wheat are not a good source of protein. Use soya chunks and tofu instead.
Im not a vegan. I have never heard "Real men eat meat" things ever. Vegan or not know your goals, know the requisite macro & micro nutrient needs, stress less about the source. This simplicity will pave the way for consistency and the rest will be easy.
bro have a doubt most we need to take 200gm or 100gm of peanut or dal only we will get enough protein right? in chicken la konjama yedutha kooda neriya protiens varuthunu solurangale athu yepdi handle pandrathu
I am not going vegan. But your points are very good and logical. Also consuming red meat is unhealthy which is mentioned in a lot of research papers. Fish and bird meat is healthier. Fish is more healthy.
I don't mean to come off as condescending, but you are spreading much misinformation from what you're saying. Although you CAN get protein from plant products, that doesn't mean the protein you get from plants is utilised by your body. Protein quality matters. Meat has higher protein quality than most plant-based protein sources which makes it easier for our body to absorb and use it. About the bodybuilder part. You are really overgeneralising everyone who's into bodybuilding. Not everyone takes steroids. There are natural bodybuilders out there. Eating meat may not be necessary but it is convenient for building muscle due to the aforementioned reason. I haven't heard of the statement "you're not a real man if you don't eat meat" but using that argument doesn't prove your point either due to the examples you chose and ignoring the fact that meat gives MORE protein of good quality for lesser serving sizes. If you don't eat meat, you will severely affect your growth, especially during your teenage. You can have both meat and plants. There's no harm in eating meat. You may get fat from eating too much of ANYTHING. Not just meat. Eat more calories and burn less, and you get fat.
The science shows that as long as protein quantity is accounted for, it doesn’t matter where you’re getting it from. You’re the one spreading misinformation. Plant protein is just as bioavailable. There is is 0 evidence to suggest otherwise.
you don't need to eat any grains or beans to get all the protein you need. vegetables and fruits can provide that along with every other essential nutrient except for B12
B12 are found in soil so that soil produce bacteria and that bacteria is produced B12 ,with the help of that bacteria only b12 supplements are made , so take b12 supplements for that and even some plantbased foods contains b12 also etc
Dr. McDougall is very clear about this. We can get everything just from a starch based diet. You can literally live on potatoes alone for YEARS. If you take just rice, corn, potatoes and beans, you will get every nutrient you can ever need
@@therealgrimreaper68 fruits and vegetables have carbohydrates and proteins. if you eat enough of them you get all the protein you need plus every other macro and micronutrient. on the other hand, if you eat grains and beans and not enough vegetables, you will be deficient in some micronutrients
Itti body bana ke bhi janwaro ko bachane ke liye aawaz uthane ki himmat nahi hai. Main kahunga aak thoo bhai aisi body par jo masoom ki raksha ke kaam na aaye 😂
If a vegan takes steroids and hormones and exercise with dedication they will also be jacked. Also hunter gatherers run around and do a lot of physical activity, which an average person does not do.
It is true that you do not need to be muscular to have strength. Spiritual strength is important and if you eat the flesh of other animals your spiritual strength weakens. Thank you for the video.🌱
bro all the things you are saying does makes sense but one thing I want to point out is we can really get a very good physique by eating a vegan diet and exercise without PEDs and growth harmone but it will take time and I think you should also consider exercising to put on some muscle if you want to influence younger generation but in the end its totally your decision
Even if he builds muscle, what he is spreading in this video is misinformation. Most of the points he made are wrong, except for the body dysmorphia part.
Sir i have a question, i have seen on social media where professional trainers also tells benefits of vegan food but there is always an exception they say is, "yes, vegan food does have protein, but to become muscular (not bodybuilder type) you need so much protein, which you take from vegan food but you will also gain so much fat, coz it has a lot more fat then protein in it " Can you please explain if this is truev
To gain muscle you do need quite a bit of protein but its fairly easy to obtain and you don't need as much as you think you do. The minimum you should be eating is 0.5g per Lean body mass. First weigh yourself. Second calculate your BF %. Lets say you weigh 150 lbs and are 20% Body fat. That means without fat your body weight is 120lbs. Minimum protein intake to build muscle would be 120lbs * 0.5 = 60g of protein a day. That's really easy to get on a vegan diet. I myself eat about 100g. I get 30g for my vegan protein shake once a day. Then i eat tofu and a combination of bread, lentils (daal), chickpeas and more. Usually end up getting about 110g of protein a day on vegan diet
@@muktapidasingh6697 first, that's per LEAN body mass which means you remove all of the fat on your body before the calculation. Next, 0.8kg - 1kg is only for weight lifters and strength training. If you're not strength training or weight lifting then that much protein is useless.
Looks like Andhra is going vegan very soon. I so wish we had you do this in TN Arvind. TN is not getting any better at all. Disappointing. But glad at least Andhra is getting a wake up call.
people should turn vegan no doubt in that .... if they have money 2 years here I am again enjoying my egg and chicken ... me with a body so compatible with carb even if i smell carb i am fat...lol... i know vegies are huge thing to me to stay lean and fit but for protine no solution when it comes to un-necessary carb and my pocket...
I tried to become vegetarian(not vegan) but I really didn't find alternatives for vitamins and minerals at an affordable price to become so. An average adult requires 55 grams to 60 grams of protein in a day as per various research. Now you are advocating for veganism which is harder than vegetarianism to fulfill the required vitamins and minerals for the body. For example how to manage 55 grams of protein daily for vegan foods at an affordable price. And you have given a protein count for 200 grams of various items. My other concern is to fulfill the protein count from vegan foods you have to eat quite a large portion which is not possible. For example, for 5.5 grams of protein, you have to eat 200 grams of white rice. 200 grams is a one-time meal for a normal adult. So, even if he eats rice 2 times a day he hardly gets 10 grams of protein but at the same time you get 56 grams of carbs from 200 grams of rice and if you eat rice twice a day it will be 112 grams. Other items like dal and vegetables also provide a little more protein but it is impossible to fulfill the required protein count. In one meal an adult can hardly have 50 grams of dal. You have mentioned soy chunks which have the highest amount of protein but soy chunks have more side effects than benefits. So, just explain to me how to fulfill my daily requirements for proteins at an affordable price?
It's clear that you have ZERO knowledge about bodybuilding. Body muscles build only when you train it in a proper manner and give rest for it to grow. Not only eating meat but also workouts with other factors such as sleep cycle and etc contribute to this. Please stop generalising and making the whole blame on steroids. There are also the ones with good aesthetic bodies who haven't taken any steroids(Tom platz if u don't know). Just don't speak by picking one or twos from that community taken that steroids. Even if the tribal community had enough resources to train they could have become that muscular. YAPPING
And those good body builder are hiding in "mamma pallu" itni body bana ke bhi kisi kaam ke nahi jaanwaro ko bachane ke liye ratti bhar kuch na kar sakte. Isse behtar ro dubla patla arvind hi hai jo kuch kar to raha hai tumse to bus baate karwa lo. Ek video me tumhari aatma sookh gai, udhar jaanwar kat rahe unke liye kuch karoge nahi aur jo kar raha hai usi ke peeche pad jaoge mare mehdhak ke jaise 🤣🤣 Bodybuilding wale dikhe to kahna itni mehnat kar rahe ho use ek maksad ko jaanwaro ka bachane ke maksad. Selfie kheech ke daalne ke liye bana rahe ho body fo aak thoo hai 🤣🤣
The day you prove that Saket Gokhale is on steroids or even PEDs, I will personally turn into a vegan and in fact turn 10 more people Vegan... And those are my words, Arvind.
If whole world becomes vegan then what happen? Everyone eat rice wheat what will happen? If any drought or flood or war like situation came what is the % agriculture land in 🌎 & at today's war food shortages is happened. But meat can grown in any situation
Meat is not grown...it's born...and secondly it would be disastrous for u if someday people start to consider u meat too( because of so much insensitivity in thier mind which I don't support) and they consume u too
