My recipe is: Prime black, base coat Army Painter Rough Iron, Drybrush leadbelcher or gunmetal Then typhus corrosion or Vallejo dry rust, just like you do Then a bit of Coat D’Arms rust, which is a reddish brown colour, dry brushed on top Then a light drybrush of Ryza Rust or blazing orange on top Your rust looks awesome man I’m still watching your vid now
I find the dry brushing makes even smaller and more random effects than I could stipple or paint and really works with the texture from the typhus. The thing that really helped is that I got these things called micro brushes, which are like tiny q tips but even smaller. They let me dry brush over a really small area without getting rust colours all over other areas I don’t want them on
