I rarely pick up calls from numbers that are not saved unless I'm expecting a courier or something. The scams are getting out of hand. It's a sign of desperation, too many unemployed people. Thanks for your upload. It's going to save a few people from getting scammed.

The video call scam happened to a friend's father, where he got a video call on facebook and he picked it up and the person on the video call played a p*rn video and screen recorded the call, my friend's dad obviously disconnected the call but then the person sent him the screen recording and started blackmailing him saying he'll send the video to everyone and then asked for money, friend's dad abused him and blocked him and moved on in life and nothing happened 😂😂😂

Great video - these calls are quite well planned which makes it difficult. Few other common scams include getting added to WhatsApp groups and being asked to do things with urgency. Also is you're buying or selling something from OLX please be aware especially if it's a person claiming to be from army - most likely a scam

Similar scam is happening in the name of nykaa , amazon etc. they'll say they have come to deliver stuff. You'll say I have not placed the order. Then they'll say they will send a link click on it and then tell them the generated otp to cancel the package. My husband got almost 150 calls in one day. These scammers desperation is going overboard.

I love these real talk videos a lot. Thanks for putting this out. There are scams where they don't even ask details. My close friend signed up for a credit card, first time in her life . Used it just for 2 days and got a call saying, there is some insurance by default that gets added to the card and if she doesn't want to pay, she has to type No and reply to the email. With just that, around 90k transaction happened and she was scammed. The bank did not take it as a legit complaint and she had to pay from her pocket. So please be aware.. these things have gotten serious and super common now 😔

I once kept coming across on Facebook a Shopify brand that seemed a little off: the accessory design and specifications did not seem to match the prices, and contact, returns, etc. pages confirmed my suspicion. I immediately reported to the actual, designer brand I was able to find. The store was maybe taken down but came back up in a few days or so. And the first scam you talked about has happened at least twice with me: the first time, I was a little freaked out. Thank you for your effort making this video, Sherry

Omg I literally got a phishing scam message while I’m watching this video right now.

I never pick up unknown number calls. When I say never, I mean never, ever. Only once one idiot tried it with me and I disconnected saying , “ Shut up you idiot!”

THE VIDEO CALL SCAM In video call they show there private parts and because you are also on screen they take the screen shot of it and then they blackmail you and ask for money if not then we will release this picture.

Sadly India has become the world’s biggest epicentre for Scammers 😢

I got that India Post message a couple of days back but never thought it was a scam since I’d sent a parcel through India post and was expecting it to be delivered any day 😳

The FedEx one dude! They tried that we me too, but I realised it mid way, reported the entire incident at a nearby Police Station. But after a few months of silence, they called me again😂 I swear after this even if I receive a genuine FedEx parcel, I’m not gonna take it! Yk, in the entire conversation, I realised something was fishy when they mentioned that there are explosives in your parcel and we can help you and connect you with the crime department and they connected me in a minute. And I was like - no way😂 can’t be so quick!

The family member in distress just happened to my aunt. My dad’s elder brother’s wife. The scammers called her while she was out buying veggies in the morning and they told her that the phone is being tapped so don’t dare call the police or anybody else, immediately transfer the money to so and so account, we have your nephew and his wife with us. They also played an audio who sounded just like my brother and his wife. Curse of AI. My uncle and aunt are pretty old and stay alone. Poor fellows somehow arranged money and transferred 1.5 lacs before we could get in touch.

I figured out that Flipkart Amazon retailers save addresses and make cod parcels on the name of customers from different delivery companies .Even if some gullible people who don't know about the parcel end up paying and these retailers get profit. received a call for a cheap night suit which I never bought .😂

Wefast scam I book a wefast and get a call from another no. They say that my relative is registered with wefast but I work for them or say my another no. Is registered with wefast and this is my calling no. They pick up the order and it's paid so it never gets deliver to you.

Your video call scam sounds like Uber guy was involved. Driver knew your dad is in the car, maybe he befriend your dad and knew you are the daughter and your dad is outside. U should keep a track.
