Today its another rear sensor video! this time on a c-max or grand c-max ford! enjoy. SUBSCRIBE for videos weekly like, comment too! All videos/images remain my property , no unauthorised use permitted.
Painted, drilled and wired sensors today. All working and looking good. Your video was much easier to follow than the X-Vision instructions. Many thanks. Now, if you could just do a similar video for front sensors I’d be a happy chappy 😉
Aha! Ill bare that in mind, I havent had to do the fronts for a while though , but if one comes along ill do one for you! Thanks for watching and commenting 👍👍
Much appreciated. Got a 2018 C Max. Was going to get one of the mobile sensor fitters to fit some but after viewing your video I think I’ll give it a go.
Hi Jim, I know its been a year but forgot to say that I did my rear sensors shortly after your video and everything went perfectly. Many thanks .. and stay safe.
Hi Jim, quick question. I noticed you used the angled sensor bezels on all 4 sensors. Was that necessary on the painted ones and did you have the painted ones angled upwards like the lower bumper ones ? Thanks. Now ... where’s me drill !
Which wire do you tap into for the power for cobra sensors on a 2016 Ford Fiesta 1.5 tdci. The wire that powers the reverse light is a blue wire , but you have said it’s green with a brown trace , can you tap into either wire and still get power to your sensors Thanks Andy
Hi there! Yeah its green with a brown trace on the cmax, if i remember correctly it is indeed the blue one on that year / model fiesta, aslong as the buzzer beeps when you put it in reverse and no other time youve got the right one . Hope that vauge answer helps aha 👍
You did a 2017 Fiesta , but you tapped into the green wire with brown trace above the rear wheel arch , is the feed wire a different colour before it gets to the rear light cluster socket , because the wires split before entering the lights at the rear Thanks Andy
Sure, because they are flush fit sensors so the first drill cuts a groove out for the sensor to fit against and the second drill cuts the hole out in the middle of it for it to push into. 👍
@@ALLTHINGSJIM Hi Jim, great video and very easy to follow. I have purchased the xvision flush sensor kit and wanted to know how do you know how far you have to go with the ring cutter tool? Too much and the sensors will be indented and not flush and not enough they will stick out
Hi, id imagine you could get them direct frim there website or off Ebay. Failing that if its a Ford just pop to there parts department and they will ever have them in stock or could get them you 👍
Hi there! Yeah im not sure about the 61 reg as havent done one but you can use a test light to find the live for reverse, or if you dont have one cut a tiny bit off the wires insulation and (aslong as the earth is attached) loosly wrap the beeper/ buzzer to the wire pop ot in reverse and it should beep if its the right one, should beep everytime you pull it into reverse, 👍
