Reason #1, it's Alton Brown. That's all you need to know.

lol I misunderstood the title as a plea to prevent Alton from receiving the death penalty.

I have loved Alton and all of the "Good Eats" incarnations since I saw the 1st episode of the original Good Eats. We didn't have paid TV but my hubby was stationed in Fort Bragg, NC in preparation for being deployed to Iraq for a year, and our 8 y/o daughter & I drove the 3 hours once a week to go visit him at the base. We watched Good Eats & other great Food Network shows in the hotel & fell in love with Alton's personality. Because of the whole situation, with my hubby being gone for a year, those days spent with him before he left, watching Good Eats are memories that are very special. I am planning to get that series on DVD if I can. I have 1 season that came with one of the books I believe. If Alton comes to North Carolina anywhere near Charlotte I will definitely come to see him live! My daughter got into cooking because of him. She was very entranced by the chemistry part of the show. (My brother was a chemistry professor at a local college for 30 years & he also got her interested in that kind of thing.) She almost went to culinary school, but is taking classes to be a physical therapist instead. She is also a published writer, and that is really her passion. Hope to see you on tour Alton! Be safe!

I wish I had heard of this live show in time to make one. Good eats was the show I never missed. The way everything was explained and most importantly the “why”. Example, over mixing pancake batter, was a great episode.

ice cream via fire extinguishers, sock puppets, songs about barfing in airports, LOTS of popcorn, and an "ez bake" oven that could wreck a power grid. USA USA USA USA

Bought tickets to the Easton show last April for my sister birthday. We drove from NYC to Easton since it was a great venue and had a great time. I even got to try some left overs from that couple in the lobby. Those (redacted) were absolutely no joke. Guess I don't have the same constitution as the woman from Cambodia. Can't spoil the secret second act but it was fire! If you know, you know ;-)

Ok. Stop listening to all these comments. I am going to tell you the truth. Any one who has tickets for the remaining shows: make sure you show up. Those still waffling: buy the darn ticket! It is very fun and well executed! We overheard a 35-40 plus executive type telling folks on the other end of his phone call that he hasn’t laughed that much in a long time. VERY satisfying entertainment. Just a bit of everything. The band and crew are a perfect fit. Go for the VIP ticket if you have the time. AB and Elizabeth: thanks for including San Jose! Very worth the drive.

Hopefully, Food Network is filming the performances, and planning on splicing together the best parts to make some sort of special for Alton's next big birthday OR when they need to give Food Network a ratings boost, if Discovery+ doesn't delete the network in a few years.

Reason #1 I'm not going : I can't afford tickets because I'm on a fixed income due to medical disability. This after changing jobs a couple months ago too. Funds have been tight since end of July early August. Alton is my gyro in the culinary world (see what I did there hehe) but paying my rent takes priority over any live show.
