Rapper/songwriter Reason steps into The Daily Cannon and chats with host Nick Cannon about his sophomore project "PORCHES".
The EP explores the mutual trials and tribulations as well as joys and wins that people face regardless of race, class or gender, and that through it all because we have this joint human experience, we should show and give each other grace, love and support.
Reason is a Carson, CA native who got into music and it provided him a therapeutic release being a young man who in his own words "wasn't good with expressing his emotions." Reason started out playing basketball and was supposed to go to Greece to play basketball and ended up transitioning to going to school in Iowa from California. The unfolding of that journey is what led him to music. His love and newfound passion for music eclipsed his love of basketball, so he decided to pass on going to Greece.
He then went full throttle in his music education and creation going to school to understand the business of music and that eventually led to his joining Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE).
To celebrate 'PORCHES' release, Reason will be kicking off his first headlining tour "Off The Porch" in December 2023. Tickets are currently on sale.
