I burst out laughing when I noticed your "air steel toes thongs". Ah sir what were you wearing whenthe engine fell on your foot. Oh I can not recall the pain was too great. Good video and thanks for taking the time to show us the ins and out of this model.
Glad to see you were wearing those good old Japanese safety boots when lifting heavy things. Your videos are very interesting and full of hints and tips.
You dont reinstall the model t block on the oil pan in the horizontal plane, unless you have a pan straightening jig.. You do it vertically so you can check the 4th main alignment. Very back yard work.
Engine is probably an old $150.00 rebuild from Sears back in the 60's still runin good! Great information on the 4th main alignment. I probably would of just forced it together and then complain how bad T's are when the crank snaps.
Good work! You didn't show it, but I assume you used a tool from one of the vendors to make sure that the timing cover recess for the timer is concentric with the front of the camshaft?
My T is Still a long way from being ready for the races in Bruderheim. However; I like watching you tear these old jalopies apart and put them back together again. One of the best was when you drove the roadster pickup up the mountain. Take care.
@@onewhocollects6781Köszi a feltöltést. Thanks.
As ---- "Althepal" ---- below said ----- Be careful with your Flip Flops ------ looks like you have all your toes and not short stubby ones ----- I can see something dropping and ........... The T-Engine looks so simple ----- big parts and bulky ----- but rather simple to work on ------- How much do you think that Engine and Trans weighed? Wonder how many times that engine has been a part in its history ----- new pistons inside --------- Thank You for another video ---- and Hope You have a Good Thanksgiving Day --- Rodney
Thats a good thought, however if one looks at some of the past videos there are various surf boards leaning up against the walls in the garage. Surfers almost always are either barefooted or sporting flip flops. A person learns a kind of 6th sense with foot safety. Once years ago I was beating on a piece of strap iron and the thing bounced off the floor and hit me in the mouth. How I wished I was wearing a helmet and face shield! Can't be too careful.
