Heat it up and stuff a candle in the hole and the wax will wick down the crack and it will stay there.

Not everyone removes the cab to pull an engine though

Torch add a little heat on that pin and a prybar if this were a transmission job and the pin gets pushed to far in to the block it can prematurely harm the repair/replaced Trans. The air hammer dose work but recommend being careful

Worked great on my 2016 Sierra that is from Canada, 6l80 went at 122k….

Will try tomorrow, I cannot seperate and I thought I was missing some bolts but I have them all cleared

Good idea. Just make sure you change that dowel. You’ll catch hell restabbing that trans if the dowel is mushed a little.

This is absolutely useless unless the body of the vehicle is already taken off. I guess if you work on trucks exclusively this is useful
