They were actually mother in law and daughter in law. They both compliment each other. Kelly has such a powerful voice. You need to react to them doing Fancy together
@@G-grandma_Army: Oh, I'm so glad you picked this link. So many think one should watch the official video, but for this song, I think they should watch the link you provided, because the official video portrays Kelly's character's husband, physically abusing her---and that's not what this song is about. Kelly wrote "Because of You" when she was SIXTEEN, and it is about her father making her feel unwanted and not good enough (and she's never said, AFAIK, that he physically abused her). In case you didn't know.... 1. Reba had this studio built, and owns it. 2. That's Reba's lyin', cheatin', POS husband (in the blue jean shirt), a few seconds after she hits that mad note that makes her sound engineer holler!!
Kelly performed 'Fancy' as part of Reba's recognition at the "Kennedy Center Honors". You should not miss this performance. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qdy6b9JgCb8.html
This was performed on a show called Crossroads where they actually sang many of each other's songs. Kelly is young here and Reba was one of her idols. They performed this song again many years later. You can check it out here on youTube. It's worth watching.
This had to be an incredible moment for Kelly. She's around my age and I grew up wishing I'd be able to sing this with the great Reba. My younger sister and I do this at karaoke! I'm Reba's part 🤭 💖🦋
Isn't it wonderful how listening to greatness can bring tears to our eyes? I know you said you are doing a night recognizing Reba and what a lovely evening that will be for you! I don't know if you will find it but there's a piece of music that you MUST listen to: Andrea Bocelli recorded a Christmas album with David Foster and it included some duet performances. Are you ready for this, Andrea Bocelli and Reba McEntire singing a duet, 'Blue Christmas', made famous by Elvis Presley. Even if you use your imagination you can never believe what you will be ready to hear.
Reba is an absolute legend and has a hugely powerful voice you can't mistake for anyone else...and then you realize Kelly really has to dial it down to not overpower her when they sing this 👀
Reba has fantastic comic timing. It would be great to get your reaction to a live performance of "I'm a Survivor" with Melissa Peterson. Melissa stared on the Reba show and she is another person with great comic timing. Congratulations on getting 20,000 subscribers. Love your reactions to country music.
The original song was done by Reba & Linda Davis & the video is awesome. As for this live performance, these two are both fun. At the time, they were in-laws. Kelly & Reba have since divorced the Blackstock's.
Can’t remember is this was right after the American Idol win or not. i know Reba sang with Kelly in the finale. It’s just been so long ago, but you can see Kelly is very young here. I remember this performance, just not when or where. hopefully someone else will remember. :) Kelly and Reba have a unique, loving relationship. I would say Reba is Kelly’s “American Idol”!
Yeah, Reba came on to sing with Kelly because Kelly said she was! No, this is not right after "Idol"---this is around 2007, I think; Kelly won Idol in 2002, I think.
They have always had a special relationship. At this point, early in Kelly’s career, Kelly was indeed very much still in awe that she was actually getting to sing with one of her heroes. They’ve performed together several times. If you haven’t already check out Kelly singing Reba’s song “Fancy” to honor her at the Kennedy Center Honors.
You should check out all of their Crossroads performances You also need to check out Kelly's Kennedy Center Honors performances of Fancy and The Dance.
Another classic They sing is when “why haven’t I heard from you”!!, a hit of Rebas!! I believe it’s a time Reba was Kelly’s mother-in-law! Both are great singers! Nice reaction!!
I know you've watched Reba singing it originally with Linda Davis, and then of course with her icon Dolly Parton and now with Kelly (who became her daughter-in-law but is now her ex-daughter-in-law but they still love each other). I'd like to know which one is your favorite. Thanks for the reaction as always.
People are confused about the timeline. Kelly won Idol in 2002, Reba sang this song with her on the special AFTER the final. This performance was from Crossroads which aired in 2007. Kelly married her stepson in 2013, filed for divorce in 2020; it was finalized in 2022. Kelly & Reba remain friends, prior to and after the divorce.
I love this song and they are doing a spectacular job. I have really liked Reba for years; kelly also! I actually had a song that I was hoping that you might react to of Toby Keiths. I know this is alittle inappropriate, but I can't seem to reach you any other way. The song is "LET'S TALK ABOUT ME". If you haven't reacted to it, I would love to hear what you think. I actually do have a couple of REBA'S songs that I would love to hear your reaction. The first is one of her real early songs, "BUT, WHAT ABOUT THOSE BABIES DOWN THE HALL" and then "THAT'S THE NIGHT THAT THE LIGHTS WENT OUT IN GEORGIA". You give fantastic reactions in my opinion. THANK YOU!!!
If your really want to see some more where Kelly is happy you should react to her The meaning of life album. She was married and happy and so soulful. Specifically the Nashville sessions performances are amazing as well has the official music videos. Or her piece by piece album. Phenomenal song and videos!! So much joy and happiness but also heartbreaking with the title track Piece by piece of course but you won't regret it. And if you really just want to have fun listening to Kelly start a deep dive into her Kellyoke segments on her show. They are all on RU-vid she's covered over 500 songs and they are all genres and eras. Not one time will you regret doing it!
It’s so nice you react to Kelly Clarkson 😃😃😃. I know you like Carrie Underwood too, so it would be a thrill if you could react to Kelly Clarkson’s rendition of “I know you won’t”, originally recorded by Carrie. It’s gonna blow your mind, I guarantee: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VV2rRfUPMHY.html
Kelly's not actually a Country music artist. This show, that they did this on, is called "CMT Crossroads". It's when two different genres come together and sing each other's songs. I've heard Kelly called Rock---but, I think I would say she's Pop; regardless, she can sing the phonebook!! Now, you have to react to the original version of this song---official video; you'll explode!! LOLOLOL
KC did a great job - especially since it sounded like she had a cold or sinus infection, the congestion deepened her voice but also prevented her from reaching the highest notes so she did a fantastic job of adapting and giving such a strong performance.
These songs are fabulous and you could not wipe that smile off your face. Well if you want a Reba song to bring tears to your eyes...try this beautiful song. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eeKv_qc_aOo.html called If I had Only Known.
