Me Evans you are a Star! Your beautuful voice and personality do just to this wonderful song. I absolutely love your voice. Greetings from South Africa.
I cant remember when i first fell in love with this beautiful Soprano, a Welsh girl with the famous Moriston Male voice choir...it must be years but love her still i do
Yes. I've been searching youtube for a good version of this deceptively difficult Aria because it inhabits a region between Aria and song, and when even Montserrat's version did not seem that good, I gave up on it. And then, perchance, I came upon Rebecca's version. It is pefection. Not surprised: she is Welsh. Such a beautiful woman and film. As to the Choir - Russian, Welsh and Italian Choirs are without equal.
I have had the good fortune to attend recitals & a performance of La boheme by Rebecca Evans. She is an artist who communicates immediatly with her audience with her lovely voice & engaging personality. One would think that in THE LAND OF SONG (Wales) this Welsh soprano would be universally known. Unfortunately much of the Welsh population are ignorant of this national treasure & are content to be so.
I am guessing the chorus is the famous Mens' chorus of Wales...they sound glorious, the diction is a mess, but who cares. I love Rebecca Evan's voice here. Why do we not hear more of her in America?
