even if she got life to prison, the boys would still be dead.. what would bring healing to the family left behind? justice, truth, fairness? we will all die someday.. that is truth.. is justice and fairness real? or it is just in our imaginations and others perceptions?
its that privilege and corruption , outweighing the scales of justice. Same ol story again and again and again. They're literally getting away with murder. Fck'n disgusting.
She's a "socialite". By the time she gets out She's older than the bible and disgraced. No longer going to be able to be in the spotlight again EVER. I bet thats worse than prison for her
shocking, that a random stranger knows more about the legal system and possibly knows even more about the evidence and testimonies presented.. shameful that you didn't come forward as a judge or a witness or someone who works in the legal system.. let's go anarchy!!! everybody's corrupt anyway..
Her husband is a typical straight man for a narc. He needs intensive counseling to be able to pull away from her. For his sake, I hope he gets it. Narcs are really good at this. Peter... wake up.
The little boy who was their friend's speech was so impactful. You have to remember it's not just the family that got robbed of these little boys' presence. The whole world was.
What in the heck are you talking about? Her boyfriend hid in the bushes. So what? She's not a sociopath, she's an American. Is that some wierd effort to be funny? And what's with the heart? You seem to be taking this tragedy pretty lightly. Ugh.
@@jhowardsupporter Not true. That was a story the defense made up and had grossman's daughter tell under oath. There was no evidence that he was in the bushes and the police searched the area and no one was found in the bushes.
@@crystalbutterfly4812 - True that nothing will every bring them back. The family will be broken for the rest of their lives. But making the woman who did this have to pay as much as possible is a positive thing. Any money she has to fork over can help pay for their remaining child's college, pay for funeral costs, pay for (much-needed) therapy. Help them financially if they have to be off work for a while. (And who wouldn't? How can a person function after watching two of their children die before their eyes?). And they can give whatever's left to charity. But that careless, callous, thoughtless woman should have pay by every way and means possible.
She killed 2 kids and she only get 15 years? If she behaves in prison and she will only do 11 or 12 years in prison. She should get 50 years in prison and not 15. What a mess up world we live in. Not fair for the 2 boys family.
What if it were her two kids killed? If the tables were reversed and it was another mother on trial for killing her own two children, would 15 years be a sufficient amount of time??
An extremely light sentence. She is guilty period. The fact that she is trying to excuse her actions is horrific!! What are you teaching your children?
So it appears she got two concurrent terms of 15 years to life, plus another concurrent three years for fleeing the scene of the fatal crash. She should be in prison for the rest of her life. Never taking accountability for her actions and trying to blame someone else. She'll probably get out of jail when she is 80 or 90. SMH!
She got two 15 to life sentences. Concurrent means she's serving both sentences simultaneously (which is equivalent to one 15-life sentence.) Consecutive means serving one 15- life sentence, then starting another 15-life.
Do you not live in America? The law has never been proportionately enforced on the rich and well-connected and when they are convicted they receive far less punishment than their poor counterparts. It's always been that way.
15 to life, and with good behavior she will be out in 5 to 10. If the accident happened the other way around, that person would have gotten life. Unfair.
These children weren't murdered and people need to stop using this term. Look up the definition. Murder means premeditation. She is guilty of killing these children but not murder.
The judge wants firing All the young children's lives being sniffed put it is a disgrace when they are giving our the stupid sentences A LIFE FOR A LIFE END OF
If #RebeccaGrossman was a single mom to 3 kids, on welfare and with a Public Defender, she would have been sentenced differently…and we all know that. A 15-year sentence, that means eligibility for parole consideration in 9 years, Is IN NO WAY A JUST SENTENCE FOR THE MURDER OF TWO INNOCENT, YOUNG BOYS. SHAME ON THE JUDGE.
She is an affluent woman, I am shocked she got any time at all. She will be out in 3 years and that’s being generous. While that family has a life sentence. American justice !?…
Not excusing her however I do see a lot of people walking around with their kids in the dark crossing streets late at night not paying attention and that's what it feels like happened here.....
The poor mom pointed out something important. Rebecca never OWNED her actions by saying she was sorry for what SHE DID - only sorry for "what happened". No acceptance of responsibility.
Why do people keep saying she got 15 yrs for running down 2 children and killing them?? She will only serve 7 yrs , and go home to her RICH LIFE.!! That's America for you, for the RICH......
Of course she only got 15 years, just look at her and the wealth that is involved here. If she were anyone else without the wealth and appearance she's got, they'd be in prison for life without parole. B.S. 🙄
Rich and spoiled! Enjoy prison!let all drivers learn!!!!! We pedestrians HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY! IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO LOOK OUT FOR US! Not we for you!
How about the sheriff policeman daughter that killed a young man in Oak lawn Illinois it was dismissed in the court because her dad is a sheriff that is so corruption what happened to the young man. She was drunk too , but because of her father position they let it go . Hopefully she and her father and everyone helped her get punished of what they did .
It I nonsense to say these tragic deaths were murder. Murder requires to be premeditated where someone planes to murder someone known out unknown to them. This was not murder it was very reckless killing of two children it was not intended. So due to this case do you (in the USA) think Anne Sacoolas should be charged for murder for killing Harry Dunn in the UK?
